- On 2/27/2024, while sitting stationary on Interstate 440 Eastbound adjacent to Exit Ramp # 4, I observed a black BMW 530i (the suspect vehicle) pass my location in the left lane. As the suspect vehicle passed, I noticed that the muffler sounded
altered, being much louder and creating a tone that did not seem to be factory. After the suspect vehicle traveled a short distance, becoming no longer visible to me, I heard the vehicle's distinctive exhaust become drastically louder and the gears rapidly changing, consistent with a car accelerating. Knowing that the vehicle was already traveling over the speed limit as it passed me, 73 in the 65 zone, I suspected that the operator was accelerating to a speed greatly exceeding the limit. Due to this and the time of day being rush hour, I suspected this vehicle might begin to pose a danger to the other motoring public and
attempted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle.
I merged onto Interstate 440 East and began accelerating, attempting to catch up to the suspect vehicle. I quickly gained eyesight of the suspect, observing the vehicle traveling at a speed that I estimated to be approximately 115 MPH. While the
suspect continued to travel at this high rate, I observed it merge continuously between all three (3) lanes of travel, moving between the heavy traffic flow and showing no regard for the safety of others or themselves. I continued to attempt to catch up
to the suspect vehicle but began to become caught in the heavy rush hour traffic. Because of this, I initiated my emergency lights and siren as I attempted to negotiate the traffic conditions. Shortly after initiating my lights and siren, I observed the suspect vehicle merge from the left lane to Exit Ramp # 7. I followed behind the suspect's path, exiting the interstate as well. As I traveled down the exit ramp, I could no longer see the suspect vehicle, so I temporarily disengaged my emergency equipment. However, when I reached the bottom of the exit ramp, I observed the suspect vehicle accelerating north at what appeared to be a high rate of speed on U.S. Highway 165 toward North Little Rock. I re-initiated my emergency equipment and turned right onto U.S. Highway 165 behind the suspect vehicle. As I pursued the suspect vehicle on U.S. Highway 165, I could not determine whether the suspect vehicle was actively
attempting to flee from me or if the suspect was continuing the same driving behavior I had observed prior, causing me to attempt a traffic stop. As I pursued the suspect vehicle, I slightly shortened the distance between us as I reached speeds of
approximately 140 MPH. This shortened distance allowed me to maintain the suspect vehicle in my eyesight, where I estimated the suspect vehicle's speed to be approximately 120 MPH. The suspect vehicle then approached Broadway Avenue in North
Little Rock, where a red traffic control light was displayed, causing a line of bystander vehicles. I observed the suspect vehicle drive over the center line, narrowly avoiding a collision with the other cars, as the suspect overtook the northbound traffic. The
suspect vehicle then failed to stop at the red traffic light as it turned west onto Broadway Avenue. This reckless and brazen act confirmed that the suspect vehicle was attempting to evade me. I continued to pursue the suspect vehicle onto Broadway Avenue, observing it exceed 115 MPH as it passed cars on the shoulder, crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, and continued to pose a high risk to the motoring public. After a short distance, I observed the suspect vehicle approach another black passenger car resembling it. As the suspect vehicle approached this car, I observed one of them make a left turn from
Broadway Avenue. I followed behind the car that had made the left turn, quickly catching up to it. I then discovered it was a black Volkswagen passenger car, not the suspect vehicle. I heard Cpl. J. Oglesby called over the radio that the suspect vehicle had just passed him, westbound on Broadway. I then turned back onto Broadway and began attempting to assist Cpl. Oglesby, After a short distance, I asked Cpl. Oglesby if he was able to maintain sight of the suspect vehicle. He informed me that he could not see the suspect vehicle and could not preserve sight as he conducted a U-turn behind the suspect vehicle. I then decided that due to neither of us being able to maintain sight of the suspect vehicle and the dense traffic conditions, we should cancel the pursuit. Cpl. Oglesby stated that he copied, and I terminated the pursuit without further incident.

Certainly sounds like it to me. Definitely the V8 5 series not the straight six which means it was most likely as you suggest a 550i. So yeah. They were NEVER gonna catch him. Those things are ridiculously rapid in even moderately competent hands. 3.5 seconds 0-60 and will VERY happily hit 155mph unless you have the limiter removed in which case it can hit around 190mph (although i think in the US they are electronically speed limited to 130mph due to having runflat tyres).
Replayed its passing the police car a few times as it sounded so nice. It was a ghost. Smoked the police.

@@hogwild5844I’m not sure you meant it that way but my vehicle does 180 stock on the factory run flats (no limiter, just drag limited because it’s a fat SUV). Shame those didn’t come with better rated tires and no limiter.

3 he shakes a cop usually within 5 to 7 minutes before backup can get there
4 he seems to know which troopers are in an area as he likes to challenge the same one.
The undefeated car has a particular style he drives with. But again he seems to have vanished back into the void after successfully escaping 6 times for sure.
Please learn when to give up on a pursuit when you have no chance of success. This helps you and the public get back home to your families.

Some stuff I see some of the state troopers doing in these videos, it just looks so dangerous, completely over the top. They take too many risks and are running on luck. To the extent it hasn’t happened already, it’s only a matter of time before an innocent bystander or a trooper gets killed.

I saw a chase video the other day where the trooper tried to pit someone and went flying into the safety wires in the median (instead of a concrete barrier, they had that newer setup with metal cables to prevent cars from crossing into the oncoming lanes). The safety wires performed perfectly, it was amazing to see, but there was a massive amount of luck involved. That trooper is lucky to be alive.

The only one I saw posing a danger was ASP reaching speeds near 110 mph in heavy traffic with no emergency lights on! The only reason the road pirate turned them on is he was about to cause a wreck! The people of Arkansas can't feel safe on the road dealing with this every day the stress level has to be off the charts!

I used to have a 550i MSport. That thing was an absolute bullet when you hit the loud pedal and, boy, could it handle. Funny thing was, it was very luxurious inside (nappa leather, soft-close doors etc.)
I had a tuned 535… the 5 is the perfect daily imo. 🤙🏾 Just does a lot of things well

My sister has the BMW 550i Msport, i have the 535i and 335i(stage 1/6 spd manual/ hard top convertible, and my nephew has a hardtop convertible M4. So when i say the 550i, twin turbo V8 is ready, trust me, she ready. You just need enough road in front of you because it will eat all of that 160 on the dash and look for more if you unrestrict it. BMW seriously under rate their horsepower but they are engineered to run! I honestly dont think they run happy until your at around 80mph, and its like silk from there.

I got something that would catch it but I doubt the police could afford it. I got a crown Vic I built into a serious Q-boat. Built and overworked 32v cobra motor with 20 pounds of supercharged boost. Rebuilt the suspension to auto cross with it and I run a manual 6 speed with 4:10s in the rear. I got brakes that could stop a run away 747 with distance to spare. I have marauder trim on it and I kept it as stock looking as I could. You’d never know what it do till I turn it loose. It was a cannonball-1 lap of america top 10 car several years in a row prior to the pandemic. And I’ve kept up with it. I’ll bet with my skill set I could have caught the transporter with super pursuit ( I also nicknamed it the pursuit special)

N63tu and s63tu are not the same and the horsepower difference is definitely more than 50 horsepower trust me I owned this exact model n63tu 550i in the same color and I own a m6 now s63tu full bolt ons 700whp
@@TwinNthem when I say they basically the same engine is because they are really close in fact the alpina 5 series version is an upgrade N version not and S version of it . And the difference is around 50-75 hp on the same year of both cars. When it comes to tuning any accessories like fuel pumps fuel inyector throttle bodies can b fit identical in both engines this 2 cars are closer in everything than a 340M and a real M3.
@@uyscuty5633They have the same bottom ends, same rods and both use cast pistons with a slightly different dome profile. They’re 99% identical minus slight differences in the manifolds and the heads (exhaust cam if I remember right), and compression. I’ve owned both and I work and tune on these for a living haha. They are nearly identical having rebuilt both.
