This concert was the day I got hooked on April Wine. Listened live on the radio, as a 15 year old, then went out and got album after album. Never did see them live as they almost never came to the US. Now Myles has passed. Sad, but man he created a monster. RIP MG, Jerry, etc. Rock on people, and vote red to stay free!
One of the best live bands I've ever seen, I'm 57 and have been to around 450 concerts, seen many of the best, this band gave them all a run for their money
H.F.Y.; "Crash & Burn" EPITOMIZES what A.W.'s all about. They r FLAT-OUT, FUCKIN' HARD ROCKIN' S.O.B.'s who RESPECT their elders. Come & think of it; CANADIANS have more RESPECT 4 HUMANITY & HISTORY THAN AMERICANS EVER WILL!!!!! The irony here; I'm from Detroit, MI (a "stone's throw" away from Windsor, ONT, CA) but my mindset's purely "CANADIAN". I admire Canadians 4 how they TREAT PEOPLE; w/RESPECT & DIGNITY. If I ever get the financial wherewithal 2 do so, I'll definitely move 2 Canada & die there w/a BIG FUCKIN' SMILE on my face.
In 1982 i crashed my !970 Leman's Sport while listening to this song. I survived and so did the car a few hundred dollars later. Don't drive 90 mph in the rain.
You had to see these guys live to really appreciate the level of musicianship -- didn't quite come through on the albums. That kind of coordination between three guitarists is rare -- they trade roles so effortlessly, if you don't look, it's hard to tell who's taking the lead, unless you're really familiar with their styles.
A.W.'s 2nd best song (behind "Roller"). Besides; THE PIONEERS OF THRASH METAL (April Wine). This song ("Crash & Burn") was where THRASH METAL WAS BORN!!!!! GIVE OUR CANADIAN BOYS SOME WHERE OVERDUE CREDIT!!!!!
After "Roller", "Crash & Burn" is my favorite A.W. song. The lyrics r so SPOT-ON & very self-explanatory. The only thing that "sucks" about this song? 2 fuckin' short @ 2:30+.
April Wine in the beginning signed with Aquarius Records, a fledgling Canadian record company that probably didn't have the financial clout to promote them properly, it took them years to get known in the U.S., let alone the rest of the world. Too bad, because i saw April Wine at least 20 times and they always kicked ass big time, just as awesome as any American rock band imo. They deserved bigger recognition back then.
@@rickleblanc8900 Completely agreed.. BTW; gotta luv their cover of King Crimson's "21st Century Schzoid Man" (from 1979's "Harder...Faster"). It BLOWS AWAY THE ORIGINAL BY A MFin' COUNTRY MILE!!!!!

the song that comes to me when i wipe out on my board.
Prefer them over Aerosmith, by a little bit....one of my fave bands from high school era! Rock on Canucks!
Why does someone have to make an "underrated" comment on every video of every band?
Because there are some stupid people in this world. I am sick and tired of those. But what can you do?
Myles with a truckload of hair!
Bad. Ass.
April Wine could of become a world wide band like Rush. What happened?
