    I think people usually forgets how important was Mick Ronson for David Bowie reaching stardom. He created an amazing sound that was critical for their success and became a trademark of that era. I know David was always thankful for this. RIP Mick Ronson

      The whole band were incredible. Trevor Bolder's bass in this track is gargantuan. You only catch a brief glimpse of him in this entire concert film, but he had the best sideburns in the game at the time too.

      The Spiders from Mars were a truly Gr8 band. Mick Ronson was a fantastic guitarist. Bowie would not have been the same without him. Bless them both!!

      I do appreciate Bowie. Peter Gabriel was also way ahead of his time for theatrics. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway was maybe the first Live Rock Broadway Show.

      We grow up in time when rock was so far ahead anything today. I grew up SF CA bay area Winterland & the Fillmore in SF,CA was cheap even if you had a fair job. I would go every week unless I went camping in the Sierra/Lakes.

    This live version of Ziggy Stardust is great, Mick Ronson's guitar gives me chills every time I listen to it, he borders on genius. Ronson is for me one of the best guitarists of the 20th century.

    It took me a little to see that this song is one of the greatest ever. The "presence" on stage of Bowie was tremendous and this solo is simply crazy ... look at the transe people are into !!! just because the intensity of song starts at the first note and ends at the very last, without a drop during 7+ minutes ... AMAZING

      I was thinking the same and tuned in to the bass, too... the pounding bass made me think of Yes - Chris Squire. Bowie and Ronson were obviously phenomenal, but the rhythm section was too. The energy was just amazing

    I love David Bowie in this period he was unique and 30 years ahead of everything else. But. He was with Ronson and never better after. They worked together perfectly and for me defined the sound of the 70s.

    For 1973, Ronson easily won the GOLD for the best live performance. For eternity, easily in the top 5!! Ronson was the single biggest force in helping in reviving Bowie's career in the early 70's.

      Bowie always did "versions" of his songs. they were never the same as on the record.

    Glad I found this. Saw Bowie in the 70's. The show was sold out here so a bunch of us drove 200 miles and it was more than worth it. Memories galore.

    Kel Rhoads took little Randy to a Bowie concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on this Tour. After Randy Rhoads saw Mick Ronson play this Song , Randy became a Mick Ronson Doppelgänger. Randy Dressed like Ronson, Cut his Hair like Ronson, got a Guitar like Ronson’s. The rest is History. I must say this remastered version of Moonage Daydream is Absolutely Fantastic

    La versión de estudio es bellísima, pero esta es para mí, la versión definitiva de la canción. La potencia de la banda, la energía de Bowie y sobre todo el impresionante solo de Mick Ronson la llevan a otro nivel. Y ese final...teatralidad pura. Tengo encargado el paquete con Blu-Ray y no puedo esperar a recibirlo para disfrutar del concierto completo en casa.

      a mi en lo personal me gusta la manera en la que canta en este show, por un lado las pequeñas variacones a la de estudio y por otro lado como en algunas partes canta unas partes con mas fuerza pero en otras pareciera cantar casi sin ganas.

    The only reason that human beings evolved on Earth was so that on 3rd July 1973, Mick Ronson would play those glorious sustained notes from 5.13 and then go back into the riff. Not only the greatest moment of Bowie's career, but the very pinnacle of humanity's entire cultural achievement.

    i could barely keep myself from crying whilst watching this whole performance in july. absolutely phenomenal. i really hope its possible to restore some more concerts of his because i will surely be there trying to keep my tears in.

    Seeing Moonage Daydream and the Ziggy Stardust film in theaters was absolutely incredible, I can’t imagine how amazing it was to actually be there. I wish I was old enough to have had the privilege to see him live, unfortunately I was just about a month old when he did his very last performance😭💔
