@@johncoyne9412 The OP’s phrasing makes it seem like he thinks Bowie was the only rock artist who ever played harmonica onstage, when in fact the “mouth harp” has been used by many rock performers dating back to the 1950’s

My friend and I were at his Cleveland, Ohio (US) concert on Feb. 28, 1976. We were in the 4th row using binoculars (if you can believe it) and all at once he stared very intensely at both of us. We jumped back in our seats, it was that mesmerizing. Probably thought we were nuts with the binocs! It was an eerie experience!
Foram ele e esse show que me colocou para o mau caminho! Obrigado Mr Bowie!
The man who fires provocative words." Un detalle fascinante que revela como Bowie no dejaba nada al azar, todo siempre tenía un significado.
Mick Ronson plays the notes of ripped feed back from those Les Paul extra windings ,here them hum. Fuckin excellent showmanship Nothing like this since, it’s so raw and in your face it’s perfection in hitting those strings of the soul It’s a very deep core feeling when hearing these songs Carlos Alomar was another dude that could play with that particular sound but Ronson was the man. Underrated composer artist but not Forgotten.
"Cracked Actor" was on the monumental "Aladdin Sane" album....... and that album is one of his most esoteric!?!?!?!? "Jean Genie" was also on it, but really I cannot recall but a very few people who even knew the name or even existence of the Aladdin Sane album.
Aladdin Sane was the best-selling album in the UK in 1973, debuting at number 1 and remaining at number 1 for 5 weeks, more than 20 weeks in the top 5 (on the Melody Maker charts it was number 1 for 10 weeks). Where are you from?

Perhaps considering that it was a short ten years between "Love Me Do" and "Cracked Actor."
I'm 62,got my first Bowie album when I was 10, still listening to this eternal genius today ❤
Only this man could bring out a harmonica in a performance like this
Steve Tyler does a pretty good harmonica too
Who’s “Bob Dylan”? lol
Who mentions Steven Tyler in the same breath as Bowie?

I am so thankful for these music videos. Love Bowie’s performances.
I cannot express in words how much I wish I could have seen this live
RIngo just chilling with the boys backstage. That harmonica and guitar ending is outrageously good
I love that Ringo is just hanging out in the dressing room. Bowie would chill out with John and Ringo.
I miss StarMan so much - thank you for this so much the beautiful talented David who fell to earth and left a huge hole in my heart when he left. ✴🌟🌠⭐

I love that Ringo was there. So cool.
I thought I saw him in the background.
Absolutely incredible performance.
One of Bowies hardest songs. Sounds soo raunchy and sleazy love it and absolutely crazy guitar tone.
My hero my rock, he taught me it’s ok to be different and at 60 I’m still living according to the bible of David
Bowie & Ronson
Perfect Together

David and Mick at their peak. And, arguably, the peak of Rock'n'Roll.
Best ever!!!! RIP David. 😊

One of this best performances of cracked actor. IMO only second to 1974 soul tour
Live at the BBC 2000 is excellent - I'd say best version. Captures the raw nature.

I've come on a few years from my Hollywood Highs
The best of the last, the cleanest star they ever had
I'm stiff on my legend
The films that I made
Forget that I'm fifty
'Cause you just got paid
Crack, baby, crack
Show me you're real
Smack, baby, smack, is that all that you feel
Suck, baby, suck
Give me your head
Before you start professing
That you're knocking me dead
Oh, stay, please stay, please stay
You caught yourself a trick down
On Sunset and Vine
But since he pinned you, baby
You're a porcupine
You sold me illusions for a sack full of checks
You've made a bad connection 'cause I just want your sex
Crack, baby, crack
Show me you're real
Smack, baby, smack, is that all that you feel
Suck, baby, suck
Give me your head
Before you start professing
That you're knocking me dead
Oh yeah
Oh, stay for a day
Oh yeah
Don't you dare
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh yeah
