I did not realise that. Probably fate or God or whatever, was probably going to take him in 1974, when he was 27, but thought he has so much more to do on earth. And decided to take him on that date 10/01/16 instead.

@@zillatov.v550 By full footage do you mean the entire show was filmed? If so that’s brilliant to hear. I’ve long held onto the belief that a tour of that magnitude when Bowie was at his peak of fame especially after his Ziggy / Aladdin period that someone somewhere didn’t film the entirety of it whether official or unofficial. Also as it was America only it’s hard to believe it wasn’t filmed so UK audiences and rest of the world audiences for that matter who would be clamouring to see it could do so. Were tour organisers especially Defries and even Bowie himself for that matter despite his heavy cocaine addiction really so naive as to not factor in filming it? It makes you wonder. 🤔

Like others have said I’ve waited 50 years to see this show in its entirety. Later on in the tour about November his voice had become very hoarse. However he seems to be in better voice here than on the July '74 concert released as David Live.
And yes he was heavily into cocaine at the time, but honestly Bowie had been on one drug or another from the mid 60s until the late 80s. And he always had " an adiction" to cigarettes ( 60 to 80 per day) and drank tons of strong coffee. I'm not sure about alcohol.

Thanks Elliot, this is a truly amazing video with The Main Man, the skinny, cocaineridden Bowie, who performs a great act at the Diamond Dogs tour, didn't see that, saw Bowie first in 1976 and 1978 in Copenhagen, but here he has an amazing voice, Moonage Daydream, Sweet Thing, Cracked Actor, Diamond Dogs, Time, Rock 'n' Roll Suicide plus John, I'm only Dancing. Great stuff, great performance. Thanks for the upload.

your clip is beyond brilliant..THANK YOU FOR THE POST! Thought I had come to terms of David's passing, but seeing your clip, I realize I will NEVER be over his passing. But he is part of my very own DNA so as long as I exist so does David. Again, thank you.

Such a dark period, yet so brilliant. This guy was so extraordinary. It is amazing he died at 69 years of age while being so self destructive.

Wow, I just came upon this video, I was at this show at the (outdoor) Universal Amphitheater before they enclosed it, I was a senior in High School and went with several friends to the show, I've been to many concerts in the 48 years since then and this one is still in the top 3 for sure, he was a master of the stage ... "David Live" (recorded just a few months later in Philly) is the best Live album EVER !!!
