Later on in the tour about November his voice had become very hoarse. However he seems to be in better voice here than on the July '74 concert released as David Live.
And yes he was heavily into cocaine at the time, but honestly Bowie had been on one drug or another from the mid 60s until the late 80s. And he always had " an adiction" to cigarettes ( 60 to 80 per day) and drank tons of strong coffee. I'm not sure about alcohol.

Like his music from the very beginning; glad he lived so long and made beautifull music till the very end. And found happiness too.

I love how his writing style in his own writing is shown in this video...just imagine him sitting in a room cutting up magazines to make phrases? Waaayyy before he had software to do it for him.
Not to mention he lived on "milk and bell peppers" lol
Rock God. I miss My Starman☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

The incredible Mick Ronson was a big part of Bowie‘s sound at that time .

Mick had already gone solo by this time. It’s unfortunate, as he was the best guitarist Bowie ever had.

Favorites of mine were his classic performances of Time and Rock n Roll Suicide, which featured his singing voice and lyrics. Sweet Thing was also a great song written in the cut-up style. Great lyrics and music. So creative.

Bowies voice never sounded better than during this period .....
To think just a year or so earlier he and his band were doing the Ziggy thing ???
