    New here. Not familiar with your content at all but I must say that you made two really really good points that really hit home. The worst thing that can happen to a chick that gets that surgery is to still get ignored or not get the attention she thought she was going to get. I mean, what do you do then??!! Also, the type of guys that didn't really notice you before or care about you before, who then jump ship AFTER your surgery are probably going to be the worst kinds of guys to attract and take seriously. I personally have been skinny curvy and then more skinny thick for a large part of my life and the type of things 'men' have said out loud to me publically is stuff you would here in an x rated film. No exaggeration!! I can only imagine if I had one of those freakish, over sexualized, disproportionate bodies. Beauty standard? I do not find a lot of those bodies beautiful, soft, sensual or feminine at all!! I personally am not into huge huge asses but then again I'm more of a Scarlet Johnansson, Margot Robbie, Halle Berry, Beyonce,' Grace Jones etc. type. Aaliyah definitely makes the list as well.

      Hey there 👋🏽, welcome to the channel. First, thank you for taking the time and tuning in it means a lot. Yea I have seen people personally not get the attention they thought or the lifestyle they were chasing and that reality afterwards is tough. Hey skinny curvy/slim thick is where it’s at honestly 🫶🏽. That’s a good point, that new attention must be intense and I can’t imagine how men must approach women after. I’ve always been of that natural organic female body that yall are blessed with 🙏🏽 i got more great content and thought pieces coming, stay tuned..

      It’s such a vicious cycle because men promote BBL’s in mainstream media or at least use to. I think the “natural” woman is making a comeback, which is great because women are beautiful as is.

    Hey, first, thanks for this video. I disagree partly with you, but I also appreciate the chill vibe you show. It gives a feeling you are open minded and open to debate, I hope I'm right! (And if that's the case, we can talk collab someday 🤓)
    What I disagree on is the premises on which you base the video: it sounds like you assume someone would get surgery solely for external validation.
    Insecurities can be socially crippling. And if that one things no one notices makes someone feel more confident, and allows you to seize more opportunities because of this self-confidence, why not? Maybe we could differentiate at minimum those 2 kinds of surgeries. The ones for someone else's validation, and the ones for self-confidence.
    I am not a surgery person. I preferred taking the easy route of fixing nutrition and physical activity for a year to lose 30 extra kg rather than the hard route of surgery that would have required a lot of work for the money, cutting expenses on other things, a crazy diet afterwards, and physical discomfort on the long term.
    As you can see, here is another premise we disagree on: is surgery the easy route? Actually, we are all taking the route that is easier for ourselves: based on our personal set of values that comes from our education and experiences, even more than on the body we start with, or the money we have. Tell me what you think!
    It would be interesting to hear from people who went through it. Are their motivation REALLY "looking like Kim Kardashian"? I don't doubt for a second these social media trends play a role in influencing the fact that people actually question having a surgery or not. But it is only a first step. Then it goes with a personal thinking process and decision process that is a bit more complex and can vary from a person to another. So who is this video for? It won't resonate with concerned women if it doesn't acknowledge there is an internal thinking process to go through the BBL. 😝
    Btw, reading the name of the channel, you speak French?

    • @cleverpointmade
      @cleverpointmade  6 месяцев назад +1

      I am completely open to perspectives outside of my own 🙂 and love a good debate. I would challenge the premise that external validation and self confidence is one and the same when we are talking about cosmetic surgery. The ideology of an “enhancement” stems from social comparison, we don’t know we are less until we see something else that is promoted as more. Which is my real message in the video that the beauty you are searching for has always been with you.
      See I think your second point does boil down to your personal experience because I would argue that building the ideal body that you want takes wayyyyy more effort than surgery. That’s an intentional daily routine you have to follow which incumbents; fitness, nutrition, & recovery. The results you want can take you at least a year, depending go on your goals. A BBL surgery takes max recovery 6 months and there is a comparable cost factor.
      The video is for everyone; women who feel like they want attention they aren’t receiving and believe surgery will make there life better and men who think having a woman with this “video vixen”
      Body is where there value lies.
      I really appreciate you tuning in and dropping your perspective 🙂 means a lot and no I am not French lol just happen to make clever points

      @@cleverpointmade Thanks a lot for the time you took for answering.
      I still think there is a subtle but important distinction between seeking self-improvement for one’s own sense of self-worth and making changes primarily influenced by external standards of beauty and maybe I struggle to pinpoint how exactly. 👀
      Just leaving a message to show I read your message and appreciate it, I'm off to work. 😁

    I'm from Brazil and we're the country that does the most plastic surgeries in the world. I didn't know that and the first time I heard about BBL I quite didn't understand the point, specially seeing Brazilian women who already have huge ass getting BBL. Unfortunately we copy a lot of the American trends and that's how it started.

    Americans wants bbl, koreans wants bigger eyes… its because they thinking within their environment. They’re thinking never exits their environment. Seems like the world is mean to them for giving the body that they are already in. As a human from a small country you probably don’t even know, we really don’t value beauty up to that extent. If only people can use that money to travel more and see other people from a more stable beauty environment where beauty is not everything. People who lives genuine lives. We exists. “1st world countries” are soooo comfortable, they have to created thing to worry about to make people spend money on to “fix”. They definitely forget how to be a human.

    • @cleverpointmade
      @cleverpointmade  6 месяцев назад

      Completely agree, we value the wrong aspect of beauty. Traveling would open up your perspective on what real beauty is when you experience different cultures and people. We perpetuate the need to “fix” because we feel we are lacking, which is misguided.

    I used to think that someone getting surgery is the easy route. But when you think about it, it actually isn't that easy. Because you have to spare minimum 10k for surgery and then you need to go through months of healing. And for some it means no work for a while, so they ve had to put some money on side for the months that they don't work. On top of that the fact they risk to die on the table. Also I've heard that when you do a BBL you can't sit for weeks-months, so it
    makes it difficult for daily activities such as working, sleep, driving, even pooping. and on top of that the daily bleeding and on top of that you have the physical trauma. I think if if people were honest about the process and didn't minimize it be an easy route but actually a route that requires months of heavy work to be able to afford the surgery and staying home to heal , people would reconsider and would think twice about risking their lives for the attention of strangers.that

    • @cleverpointmade
      @cleverpointmade  6 месяцев назад +2

      The process itself has its own challenges but let’s take the idea of wanting a better body. Months of recovery and money(10k) vs a daily grind that involves working out, nutrition, & recovery which can take you up to a year or years depending on your goals. There’s more of a mental challenge of going through the daily grind that most people avoid because it involves effort.

    Hey bro, you do realize Aaliyah was a size 4, right? The so-called hottest women of that time period, like Jessica Alba, Kirsten Dunst, etc., reflected an unrealistic beauty standard. Considering the average US woman wears a size 14 to 16 dress, it’s clear that this standard was far from realistic. While the bbl surgery craze has reached extreme levels, I believe the trend is shifting towards a more realistic body type. Many countries prefer a curvier body type for women, and we’re starting to value curves more. However, in my opinion, the surge in surgeries has gone too far, just because of the possible negative outcomes of surgery, and seeing some of the horror stories when that surgery is botched, but I also know women are judged with extreme scrutiny, so I probably lack the insight into all the reasons woman opt for this.

    • @cleverpointmade
      @cleverpointmade  6 месяцев назад +2

      When am using Aaliyah as a reference it’s more geared towards her authenticity. While she was small framed and size 4, she was in an industry that was promoting girls with voluptuous body types she stayed true to herself and THATS what made her so dope. While I am addressing the BBL epidemic, the real message in this video is you are already beautiful as you are 🙂

    • @ronkosztadinov4621
      @ronkosztadinov4621 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@cleverpointmade Okay, I’ll begin by acknowledging that Aaliyah was undeniably talented and that I’m also a fan. However, I don’t believe using a specific era as a reference point strengthens your argument. Although Aaliyah herself may have been healthy, she still conformed to the distorted beauty standards of that time, which predominantly favored Eurocentric features, making it challenging for people of color to attain. Take, for instance, Janet and Michael Jackson. Despite Janet’s immense popularity and inherent beauty, she underwent cosmetic surgery on her nose, highlighting the pressure to conform. Additionally, during that period, curvier women were often relegated to a niche market, primarily targeting African American and ethnic consumers.Your example didn’t seem helpful because it implied that today’s standards are out of control while suggesting that past views and behaviors were more sensible, which wasn’t the case at all. The only upside I can see is the shift towards more realistic body types and an appreciation of them.

    • @cleverpointmade
      @cleverpointmade  6 месяцев назад +1

      I think your looking too in depth to why I positioned Aaliyah in the video, I simply used it as an example of women who were looked at than to now (cardi B, Kim, Nicki). I also brought up snoh alegra and Lupita nyongo as other examples. The real message of the video is that the “value” you seek is misplaced when it’s not within yourself.

      @@cleverpointmadeNo problem, mate. I understand your message and agree with your broader point. Those minor details caught my attention, though. I just think that with a topic like this, accuracy is crucial. I’m not criticizing you, bro, and I took the time to watch the entire video and provide my honest opinion. But fundamentally, I don’t disagree with you. I also want to suggest that if you’re going to delve into this realm of self-help or whatever category you consider yourself, it’s important to approach the subject matter with a certain level of respect. This field can be filled with some of the worst people, and you almost start at a disadvantage, I am personally very skeptical about content makers in this area, but I will reserve judgement because I don’t find any issue with your content.
