  • In this episode I cover a lot of things that I did this week at Sugarwood, our 1790 countryside home in New England. I'm sharing what I do to help manage and lessen my anxiety, some garden updates, a casual table setting for our Easter Brunch, and a few other things around the home. I will also be sharing a little something about me you didn't know... I deal with a mild stutter and I'm sharing an unedited clip of that for the first time ever.

ADHD, anxiety, horror about driving on hyways with large trucks, drinking Lemon Balm tea to calm down the extra busy mind... Linda, I thought you were talking about me - kindred spirit indeed. Now I do not feel so alone about the issues you mentioned. Gardening frees me a bit of anxiety, but what frees me from anxiety the most are my horses. The beautiful lawn and barn you have are your answer to free yourself completely from the anxiety, at least for longer periods of time. Give yourself a big gift and get yourself a couple of horses, even if they are just ponies. Brushing a horse, sitting in a chair watching the horses graze, is one of the most peaceful things I do for myself as all of the anxiety falls away and I can be completely in the moment. Sipping Lemon balm tea for the extra twist of peace as I share space with my horses is like a trip to heaven.

My husband had a stutter his whole life until he went in the navy! (😳) and now at the age of 72 still has what I call a "hesitation" when talking to people in certain situations. He is normally very quiet and uses the least amount of words he has to when communicating... common in people who stutter.

My mind trap is when I have house envy and become convinced any one with such a nice home ( like yours) must have no problems at all. But this is magical thinking we all struggle. Do you think being creative helps with these feelings? It helps me in the moment I am painting or engaged in an organizing task and that helps me navigate a harder day. Sometimes I wish my mind would not always need the challenge and would just relax. Alas....I do not seem to be built that way.

I will try this tea for my husband. In 2016 my husband and daughter were hit by an 18 wheeler Mac truck. It was a very bad seven car pileup. By some miracle, thank God, they were able to walk away from our totaled car. To this day he has anxiety when he's near a big trailer truck. 🙏
Linda, stutter or no stutter, you're adorable and I love your channel. 🌷

Lovely segment. I would like to try the Tea and add Lemon and Honey. The woodpeckers are eating termites and bugs in the trees. Try to pin point the trees and try to have an arborist come out to help save your trees. Cutting and patching will help. Great job on the house! Lookin gooood !

My order of the Butterfly Pea Flower Tea delivered in 4 days! It's delicious as well as pretty to look at while sipping. Helpful to know it may calm anxiety. I will take it to work! Videos of Sugarwood make me feel calmer, too, Linda. Thank you.

You are inspiring. Im so glad your daffs are fine. I thought they would be ok.. even after all that snow. They are a tuff little flower. You seem to be a tuff little flower also. You do such beautiful work. If those iris are blue flag they reseed easily.

I’m watching this program right now and you making teas for your anxiety this one is easy because you can purchase it. It’s Bigelow tea plantation mint. I think they call it something else now it’s something like perfectly mint. love this tea so much I always have some in my purse so that I can make tea anywhere. I put 2 teaspoons of sugar in it and if I’m not feeling well I have a headache I’m anxious. I have a cup of his tea and honestly I think it’s all in my head but it makes me feel better. My friends laughed because I said I honestly think that this would cure cancer and I hope I never get to figure that out. Thanks again for sharing with us. Your wonderful ideas you’re home and Garden.

I do love watching how you manage that wondrous yard of yours! Was curious when your huge blanket of snow would melt and allow you outside again. I have learned some great techniques of conscious language from both Robert Tennison Stevens and Marisa Peer. They both have incredible knowledge and teach how to speak to yourself and about yourself. Your brain will produce what you say from your mouth, it does not have an opinion, it will accomplish that which we speak, they teach. I find these habits of speak life changing! Thanks for sharing today🕊

I recently found and love your channel. Your home is welcoming, lovely and charming! Had to share for anyone suffering from "symptoms" of all kinds, including anxiety. You can actually release the reason for anxiety or any other ailments! Any symptoms is your body's way of telling you something has gotten out of balance and that's the body way to alert you. I cannot stress or suggest enough to learn about Body Code & find a practitioner to release those energetic interruptions causing the symptoms. Oh yes, you CAN be free of anxiety & even more severe ailments. People will be amazed at what is not only possible but likely to reverse or heal. Happy living...
