I just want to let you know that I LOVE that you plant a zillion bulbs and that you have and abundance of beautiful pots! I love seeing all the garden equipment that you have and how you use it and the smiles that it brings to Benjamin when he wants to help out or go for a ride. I love that you feed your chickens with all kinds of vegetables and you use vegetables for other things to make the world beautiful. I love your family and the example you show of what a family that works together looks like and what they can achieve. I love that people can see the results after many years of all the work, teaching, patients and prays that both your parents so obviously poured into you, Laura and Aaron, and that you in return are passing that onto Benjamin and your soon to be new baby girl. Thank you for living life so openly and allowing others to see your talents, whether it is planting a plant, making a wreath, flying a drone, or making a video and matching it to the perfect music. P.S. I also love animals! Thank you for giving Russell and Cheddar a dream life. Love, food, shelter, and freedom, the world would be a different place if every animal and human had those thing. Merry Christmas to you all and I pray blessings over all your families and also that 2021 will be a year that you double in wisdom, double in subscribers, double in talent and double in income!! 😀
These gifts you receive represent an overwhelming amount of love and caring from your viewing family. It seems it is becoming overwhelming for you, and I hope the Garden Answer Family will consider making donations instead, in honor of you, Aaron, Benjamin, and Baby Girl - to the Treasure Valley Children's Relief Center, or any organization or charity. There are so many organizations and individuals in such great need. When a donation is received in someone's honor, a note is sent to that person letting them know they have been honored. This would be such a beautiful way for us to show our love and appreciation for you and your family. We should Spread The Love - as you yourself always seem to do. ❤❤❤❤❤
Agreed. The intention is wonderful and full of love, but I know I came away from that Mail #2 thinking "wow, this is getting quite excessive". Notes, custom gifts, etc. makes sense, but basic clothes, appliances, tools, toys, etc. could definitely go to people in actual need of them.
The giving of a gift is a way to show you are thinking of someone. It is a tangible piece of a moment of thought. Though the item may not stay with you, the memory always will. The truth of a gift is that someone was thinking of you!
Love how Aaron participated even more this time. You both do so well together. I think it is a great idea for him to do a vlog while on maternity leave 😁
Thank you Aaron and Laura. You’re so positive in how you deal with the silly comments and questions you receive. Above all else you are a great source of inspiration and kindness. Merry Christmas!
I think some questions are silly, but some come from people who are concerned,... like with the cats.......Laura answered it perfectly and now the person who asked the question knows that Russel and Cheddar are much loved.
I rescued a cat that had been dumped on the street in the cold. She had tons of health issues. I'm allergic, so I gave her to my mom after getting her healthy. She walked into my mom's house, curled up on my mom's lap, and never showed any interest in going outside again. Cats are very clear about what they want.
I was taking care of A older lady, she also have a cat ,after a while of me taking care of the Cat, her daughter said I was the only one the Cat cares about lol ,she use to wait at the door inside the house for me ❤
We have 4 all feral rescues and one is handicapped and they could care less about going outside it’s also not safe for them to either where we live. They all are happy campers who sound like a heard of elephants when they play
Yes they live longer indoors. All Vets have told me that. I’ve lost several over the yrs to cars, dogs, poison. I learned my lesson & the boys stay in. Plus I don’t worry about ticks & fleas.
Flower Hill Farm and You Can't Eat the Grass are my favorite smaller garden channels. So kind of you to ask! It's gratifying to see such a supportive and positive community.
My favorite part is that when you get those negative passive aggressive comments, you address them with laughter! It's so uplifting. You can't change the envy or hate in people's hearts, but you don't have to let it poison your happiness. Your positive energy is such a huge inspiration Laura and Aaron!
Give yourself all the time you need for your baby girl. We all understand. Those first few weeks are so precious. Praying for a safe and healthy delivery!
Hello Aaron&Laura, You are all so dear! It is a joy for us to see God work in &through your lives&as He blesses you, watching your family, garden and lives grow. Please realize, this is His ministry through you! As you learn, as you lean on Him, others see & gain faith. In a tough year, you have been a balm to souls.
Thank you for all of your inspiration. Blessing to you and your families at this exciting time! Take all the time you need. We can catch up on past videos while you take a break.
People, please stop judging others on how they manage their pets. These cats are CLEARLY happy in their lives, and could not have a more responsible owner. If they wanted to be inside they would be howling at the door. Please just PLEASE keep your judgmental comments to yourself.
I totally agree. Russell & Cheddar have the best life. I love seeing them in the videos and I am not a cat person. Some have the tendency to go places that is not necessary.
Your cats have the best life! I love watching them wandering through the plants and enjoying the falling snow. Or squeezing next to you for some camera time. They live happy lives😊
I didn't feel that Russell and Cheddar were out in the cold. I took it that they were just looking out the doorway at the snow. I actually loved that little part. My daughter's cat gets left out in the cold if she doesn't come back after being called. Then she'll come in eat and then want to go back out. Anyone one can tell they are being well taken care of.
I appreciate your taking the time to answer questions. I may not comment a lot, but I watch and learn. Have I tried any of the things you've done? No, because I am 72 and not well. Besides my husband kills everything I plant with weed killer. The man should really be in a desert. Thank you very much for sharing. Happy Holidays and stay safe.
I absolutely love your recap videos, especially lately where Aaron has a microphone! You guys should title the videos “weekly recap with Laura and Aaron”! This is absolutely my favorite channel to watch! The inspiration and ideas for me to use as a starting point on so many random things, is amazing! I know I could never plant 5000 tulip bulbs, but the idea of putting them in pots is amazing! Thank you for sharing your vision and inspiration with us!
Aaron shouldn't worry about a ''creative'' display area. The work you guys have done to your home , and property show the creativity and all his work to light it highlights that creativity with a beauty that is stunning. It was so beautiful and I feel certain that many, many others loved it too. You guys nailed it !! Merry Christmas !!
Facebook is crap. They don't care about all these scammers! You take care of yourself and your family. I enjoy going through old videos! Such a joy 😹. Merry Christmas to you and your family ❤️. All the best ❣️😺 for new baby coming soon.
If you haven't brought this up on your main channel, maybe you should, as you have over 800,000 more subscribers on the main channel who haven't seen the warnings on your highlights channel.
She has said something before on the main channel. They, the scammers come and go I'm sure. When you think everything is going well then they strike again. Just so much for the 2 of them to worry about. When MOST youtubers I watch never say a word about scammers. I think Laura and Aaron are the first and by the way are doing a great job!
@@phyllisroark8526 Several youtubers and Facebook people that I watch contend with scammers. Its hard to understand that people still fall for these thieves since it really goes back to land line telephone days. Same scenario. Different technologies.
I have to share that I was at my local Gardener supply today picking up a couple things and my son noticed they had one of your video's playing and had to point it out to me since I watch all your videos and sometimes he will watch them with me. you are such an inspiration.
Thank you for all you do. COVID-19 era depression was eliminated for me by watching your channel most mornings. Blessing for next years new Petunias and new baby girl.
I can see your genuinely beautiful heart when you speak.❤️ Your diligence, hard work, and positive attitude is refreshing and much appreciated! MERRY CHRISTMAS and aloha from Hawaii!🌴
I love watching both of you interact. You are both so respectful when you talk, even when you disagree. It reminds me of my own happy marriage. Thank you for showing people that marriages don't have to be what "Hollywood" puts into movies and shows. Have a happy New Year!
Laura, I have learned so much about how to create layers in the garden and make my garden look more varied and enjoyable. I have no where near the land you have but you really inspire me!
I wouldn't worry about people asking and talking about your cats. They are famous cats and I see how you love on them. And they're Always included in most videos. Love you two. Many blessings to you.
Ok Laura, I have been watching your channel for a good while now. I have a small acreage and even less money but have been gardening my whole life. But your information and knowledge have inspired and allowed me to start my own seedlings and build myself a tiny cold frame. This allowed me to have a lot more flowers and garden vegetables this year than I have ever been able to in the past! I even shared with neighbors. I loved it. I was so proud and enjoyed it so much. So keep inspiring. Keep planting those 100 petunias! Thank you!
This year is finally almost over. We just wanted to thank you for all the inspiration. We tackled our drip systems for the flower beds and they are so much better now. They waste much less water than the ones we were using. We also installed new landscape lighting and we planted lots of different types of shrubs and other plants. We were both so excited about it all. You were our inspiration. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and enjoy this time counting down to welcoming your baby.
Aaron, the entire light display is AMAZING. The WOW factor comes in with the collection of all of the lights together. You did an unbelievable job. It was so thoroughly enjoyable watching it. I watched it several times. 🎄☺️
Ps. I already left a comment but I enjoy Aaron speaking with you in the videos. Also you both seem so humble and just like good people. One of the reasons I love watching you!
Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas. You all are so special to me and all of your other followers. Please do not worry about what kind of schedule you will be keeping the rest of this year and through when baby girl is born. We will miss you terribly, but I am sure everyone understands and wants what is best for you and your family. It will be even more special when you are able to release a video. Take care and thank you for all that you, Aaron, Benjamin, Russell and Cheddar do.
O M G… the lights are absolutely amazing! Totally creative and beautifully done. I cannot imagine how long that would have taken. Be proud of what you have done, both of you!
Three things: 1) Keep the Mulberry tree! It may not "fit perfectly" but it has such character and it has such a glorious history! Imagine all that it has seen! Let it live its life until it is no longer safe. 2) Aaron: The light display is so beautiful--so impressive--and most certainly expresses a ton of artistry in the many, many decisions you made! Beautifully done! 3) Laura: You inspire me every day during this difficult time. When I don't think I can do something or I don't quite have the motivation to get something done, I think of all you accomplish--all that you envision and make happen. Thank you for this! It means more than you will ever know!
Your comment about having a certain idea about how to decorate and finding out what it costs reminded me of my mom. You could take her to a store blindfolded and she would pick out the most expensive thing, but the crazy thing is it's usually the most elegant/simple things.
Gardener Scott!! He always has such good information and is so thorough with everything he talks about...definitely more vegetables and naturalized landscaping in his videos!
Hello Laura and Aaron. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this channel. I found it earlier, last January and have been a fan ever since. You have inspired me to give flower growing a try. But because my ground is so rocky and poor, I am using large containers. I've been picking them up at the end of the growing seasons at places like Rural King and Menards, even Walmart. I'm trying to get very large pots that I can lift into my SUV to take home. I planted up several of them with bulk Tulip bulbs like 60 + in a planter and can't wait for spring when I can put them out and watch them grow and display for all the neighbors to see. You have introduced me to Espomia products and Now have bags or all the TONES and 20 bags of Land and see Compost! I got seeds from Johnny's and Eden Brothers. I can't wait to start start showing off my flower in my front lawn, which is a knoll so they will be off the road and closer to the cabin. I might however, place a large pot or two down near the mailbox and plant them with something fun like Zinnias or maybe even Lavender. I work about 60 hours a week so containers is the way for me to go right now until I decide to move to a flatter piece of land and can put in a real garden. But because of you, I have been so excited. I am wishing you the very best for the coming year with you ever growing family.
Use your channel to do amazing things for people!! Stay humble and kind!! We enjoy having Aaron in the videos. Your input is valuable too, Aaron! Stay amazing!
Christmas with Benjamin is going to be incredible. The innocence, awe and excitement of children never fails to tug at my heartstrings. They grow up so quickly. I was thinking of you today in relation to time off: most people have annual leave and maternity leave, I think you deserve both! I use my laptop to watch you and lots of recommendations come up daily. One can do a GA search for so many topics, great fun; also try 'filter' by oldest first to find your earlier videos. I know most people already are aware of this but I picked up the 'search' tip from a subscriber who often answered queries and was very helpful. Wishing you a happy, healthy and fun Christmas!
I have mentioned before and I will mention again that you handle your judgemental questions so well! Kudos to you and Aaron! Amazing answers to all questions and the fact that you do not get upset is perfect! Inspiration and motivation was the best comment ever. So very true and you have inspired me more than you will ever know!
I would love to see @missorchidgirl or @lauralovesucculents would be amazing! I think of you guys as family so thank you! for highlighting other amazing people
I can't plant 100 tulips, but it doesn't bother me. I planted 30, and I can't wait until spring to see them! These videos are definitely inspiring to me, I get ideas and use them in my own way, that's the point of these wonderful videos.
Laura your face is calm when you have a kick from baby girl!!!’ You are such a blessed family and always give back to you community ❤️❤️❤️❤️I kinda feel bad when you feel like you need to explain ! People just need to understand you are an inspiration and help us learn to grow and give back 😊😊😊Arron always has your back ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Re: wasting food as decoration, i think it's much better to use something biodegradable like fruit and then compost out when you stop using it than using plastic decorations that will clutter the earth forever!
Bravo! FACT: 40% of food produced in the USA alone is going to waste - landfills! FACT: 10 Million tons of produce goes UNHARVESTED every year! There's a video of a girl who made a ball gown out of 700 mango seed husks in AU because the amount of unsellable mangoes on her family's farm is so great. If anyone wants to learn exactly how much they can't sell or food industries toss, and how groups are learning new ways of utilizing it, see the 2017 documentary trailer here from "WASTED: The Story of Food Waste" on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/AcVNFJn7NgI/видео.html or here's the link to the entire movie: www.cbc.ca/player/play/1164399683579/ 😊 🙏
Whoever commented about cat neglect... you must be new here 😅 These are the most loved and spoiled cats. Their lives are literally an adventure in this property
This was fun listening to you and Aaron, About the driveway issue - definitely gravel! The sound, the look, the relaxing country feel are all perfect for your setting. Blacktop makes me feel like I need to hurry. Gravel helps to slow things down. There’s my two cents for what it’s worth. Have a wonderful Christmas and thank you so much for helping us all get through a trying year!💕
If you tube is monitoring this I vote your channel the the most valued in 2020! Gardening has got me through so many periods in my life. Happy times and some more trying. Its true retail therapy can cheer you up but it can become wasteful and just stuff. Gardening allows you to produce, feel productive and always feels hopeful. Even if something doesn't work out you feel inspired to keep trying, figure out the best solutions to the environment you're in. Ummm...sounds like 2020!🤣 Thank you guys for sharing your journey. So many life lessons can be learned from a garden and its not about the size! Window sink gardens work! I know especially with another baby coming you may not want to think of another project BUT seriously consider keeping a journal now weaving your lives and garden lessons. Todays journals will be a great storybook for later. Do not blink, these days will be your long ago that quick!💕
Laura, I love how pragmatic you are. I’ve started reminding myself to “raise the ordinary to extraordinary.” Thanks to you and your Mom for that one. Merry Christmas! PS The gravel versus pavement negotiations make me laugh every time. Just so relatable. ❤️
I've really enjoy the increased dialog between Laura and Aaron during these videos. Aaron's comments add to both the content and interest. In past videos, we didn't hear so much as a peep from behind the camera. I love the evolution of these videos, and the apparent ease and comfort of the natural roles of both Aaron and Laura. Again, lovely as always. Have a wonderfully, amazing and Merry Christmas!
I love you guys and your channel--in fact, after so many years, it's the only one I still watch faithfully. I wish you all a peaceful Christmas with your family.
This was a really fun conversation video this time. You allowed us to hear your thought patterns and a little of your discussions on what you’d like to do. I felt like I was in on your staff meeting for the planning process. Nice to hear Aaron’s thoughts much more this time. Thank you😁
Aaron, what are some lighting projects you would like to do someday? You just talked about feeling you did't get to use much creativity this year. Maybe some things that Benjamin would especially like? Christmas characters? Gingerbread house? Maybe you guys should come up with 2 nights in December where you let people drive through if they bring a food, or money donation for your community food bank.
I do not have a garden. I live in an apartment with a few plants in Lisbon, Portugal but, you're a big inspiration every day. Thank you Laura and Aaron and Benjamin and the new baby girl. Merry Christmas!
And you have TONS of videos for me to watch from the past! I saw a great succulent planting you did in 2014! And Like how tos for drip system, favorite plants, etc, etc etc
It is a wonderful environment for those cats....I've moved from Oregon where we had a yard to Arizona next to a wash where there are major wild animals. My cats missed the outside so I built a Catio....an enclosed patio for cats. Those cats are so active and happy.
🎄You two are so great together! I enjoy your “discussions” so much. Take all the time you need during this blessed time before Baby L. Can’t wait to meet her. I know Santa will be extra generous with Benjamin! Merry Christmas to you and your entire family 🤶🏻🎁🎄🙏❤️
Personally I feel like you are a garden and lifestyle channel. I could get more specific information elsewhere for my zone but I love that you share part of your life with us. It's nice to see your mom and the relationship you have. I also enjoy the winter crafts you make. Take it easy and can't wait to meet "baby girl". 💛
I luv when you guys collaborate and discuss ur possible plans and opinions together on ur videos, its like an insight into how you guys make decisions and have discussions about your plans. Its really fun to watch and so informative as well. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎅 🎄
I also worked at a vet clinic for a while and I totally agree with you. Cats DEFINITELY love being outside. They get that wild itch scratched outside and are usually so much more happy for it!
I love watching your big projects and I take inspiration from them even though my space is very limited. I’ve grown so many plants that I first saw and fell in love with on your channel. Inspiration is definitely the point.
Laura, I really love your personality..your creativity..your compassion..your energy! I like that you are comfortable and yourself..no pretending.. This is your channel.. your content..your hardwork..your vision. So appreciate the faithfulness and all the fun endeavors..I have CHANGED so much since I started following you... and have been so inspired to plant, garden, and be more crafty! It has really helped with my anxiety. Praying for you, Aaron, Benjamin..and baby girl..
Small gardening channel highlight would be great. Two favorites are "Soil and Margaritas" & "Garden Obsession". I started following Garden Answer years ago when they were a small channel....its been fun to watch them grow 😀
Jim Putnam is fantastic!!! Erin is good for truly “ impatience”. You guys are fab but you do SO big it can be had to relate but oh so beautiful to watch.
You are so right your videos are inspiring and motivating. I don't think you expect anyone to go out and plant 3000 tulip bulbs but I can certainly tackle 200. Thank you for all that you do to make everything seem attainable. Happy New Year.
Laughing so hard at the back and forth you and Aaron have in all of your videos. It reminds me so much of the conversations me and my husband have on daily bases. Can’t wait until this darn pandemic ends and we can hopefully catch you at a garden show. Wishing all the best for you all. ❤️
Sewing curtains is SO easy! It’s all straight lines. You can get the tape that holds the pins for the top and then hook those to rings, or just do a tape with the straps on the back for the rod.
Now is the time for your family to take the time and enjoy the special holiday moments with each other and your extended family members. We wish all of you a wonderful holiday season and we will "see you in the next one" when you are ready.
I love having Aaron mic'ed up :) It's natural that she interacts with him during filming, and it's nice to be able to hear him well.
Laura. you have such a beautiful disposition. THANK YOU !
She does! Unlike me- no filter!

Around 7:49, Laura gave an unintentional funny.
"What if we were kept inside?"
WE WERE! This year. Haha! Good one.
True! but she didn’t let the pandemic slow her down too much.
Gardening helped me forget and find joy!
Yes, greatful for the welcoming, educational and entertaining content! A cup of joe & Garden Answer.
I was so happy to see Garden AddictZ in your recent video. Her love for hydrangeas is the cutest thing ever.
She never waste food she is the most generous kind hearted person ever ..
Aaron, the entire light display is AMAZING. The WOW factor comes in with the collection of all of the lights together. You did an unbelievable job. It was so thoroughly enjoyable watching it. I watched it several times. 🎄☺️
My cats LOVE outside and are happiest to come in and out as they please. They have fur and they are plenty warm.
Take your time Laura. We Love You!
To the people who email you when you don't post. Get a life. Why so needy?
Facebook is a scam!
Yes, I tell all of my friends to stop using facebook.....too much scamming and misinformation.
I wouldn't even address what you do with the gifts you've received from Fans. Once a gift is given, it's yours to do with as you see fit.
Gardener Scott!! He always has such good information and is so thorough with everything he talks about...definitely more vegetables and naturalized landscaping in his videos!
You should be a UN ambassador. You are full of grace.
My cats love being outside. I used to live in the city and now live in the country. The animals are so happy to have space to roam.
Loved the banter between you and Aaron. Such a fun video!
People just need to understand you are an inspiration and help us learn to grow and give back 😊😊😊Arron always has your back ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm with you Laura. I rather go without until I find exactly what I want instead of spending money on something I really didn't want.
I was so glad to see that you connect with Jim Putnam because he is such a great guy and so knowledgeable!

I side with Laura. I think gardens are fluid. Pavement is too permanent, although yes, you can tear it up. I think gravel lends a softer look? 😊
It's great to hear Aaron! The two of you are a great example of compromise, teamwork, respect and love that makes a good marriage. Merry Christmas!!
I love that you are sharing your success with other RUclipsrs and introducing them to your followers. Someday... someday... :)
This was a really fun conversation video this time. You allowed us to hear your thought patterns and a little of your discussions on what you’d like to do. I felt like I was in on your staff meeting for the planning process. Nice to hear Aaron’s thoughts much more this time. Thank you😁
Really looking forward to your progress on the property next year. It’s going to be a huge season for you all!
Really enjoyed your banter today!😆 God bless you all!🎄🇨🇦❤️
Laura, you are awesome! All of your ideas, energy and love of gardening is a tremendous gift to all of us. Thank you ❤️🎄🎁❤️
Personally I feel like you are a garden and lifestyle channel. I could get more specific information elsewhere for my zone but I love that you share part of your life with us. It's nice to see your mom and the relationship you have. I also enjoy the winter crafts you make. Take it easy and can't wait to meet "baby girl". 💛
So happy you mentioned HortTube with Jim Putnam. Hopefully you can include him in a future video. He has an awesome channel. Thanks.
Yes, we love Jim!
Yes love Jim! He so knowledgeable!
Yes, I’m a fan of Jim, also.
Love him too. He gardens in a zone closer to mine and also deals with clay so I learn a lot from him!
Yes, Jim is my go-to guy for my area.
Thanks, I'll check them out.
Jim Putnam is fantastic!!! Erin is good for truly “ impatience”. You guys are fab but you do SO big it can be had to relate but oh so beautiful to watch.
I still chuckle to myself when I think about you saying you thought you could just put Benjamin in a backpack thing and carry on as usual.🤣
We DO understand!! Just take care of yourselves. We are SO excited about all the wonderful things that are in the works. Just take care🙂
Asking the different gardeners to participate was so fun. Maybe something they're excited to plant for Spring. Love your channel and videos!
I love to see all the gifts that are sent to your family. I think it is wonderful that you share with others the things you can not use.
