Laura, many many years ago now I was always one of the first to do things for others or volunteer etc etc. But I personally felt awkward about accepting anything from others. However, a very wise elderly woman from my church had a gentle conversation with me. She pointed out that I needed to be a gracious receiver lol. She stated that if someone else is compelled to do something kind for myself or my children, I needed to not just allow it, but be a gracious receiver about it. Otherwise, I am keeping them from doing what the Lord put on their hearts to do. Thereby taking away their own Blessings from the Lord. As we Bless others with kindness, we receive Blessings in our hearts from the act of the kindness. And we shouldn't deprive others from said Blessings. She was a very wise woman lol. I had never viewed it that way before. But she was right. The reason I enjoyed doing for others is because it makes my heart ❤️ feel full. It was selfish to not allow someone else that same wonderful feelings.
I recently had a Veteran offer to add my lunch to his at checkout and I was saying no and he said “don’t block my blessing” so of course I let him buy ❤
I never thought of it like that. I guess I will try to be a gracious receiver. As a person who is a giver, it is hard for me to accept gifts. Seems contradictory when I think it through. 🤔 😅

This is kind of unrelated, but I just wanted to let you know you’ve inspired an interest in me for finding concrete pieces for my own fairly new garden, so my husband surprised me with an afternoon out yesterday for a date at our local concrete sculpture and container shop. We had so much fun! When I stood in their formal fountains area, surrounded by all the tinkling water sounds and the traffic noise went away, I really got it-why you love water features. We were looking for a few fun, whimsical pieces first-a pair of concrete bulldogs for some fun, winter interest when my giant Boston ferns die after the first good frost; the gargoyle garden guardian statue I’ve had my heart set on since we first started gardening; and some more formal urns, bird baths, and concrete pumpkins I’ve got my eye on now. This is one of the reasons I watch Garden Answer. Technically you guys are influencers and I hate influencers. But you all are so gracious and humble and appreciative as opposed to actual influencers who are entitled and demanding. But you got into being a content creator because you have a passion and skill for gardening as opposed to an influencer who has a passion for fame, easy money, and free stuff. I love to see your incredibly hard work and the rewards you get from it. You seem like such kind people and are so blessed and you get back what you give. Never change Garden Answer family.
Your videos always make me smile. I subscribed back when there were about 4,000 members. Told all my friends they had to watch and subscribe because I was afraid you might quit. Loved those wonderful fairy gardens you were creating and soon found out you were a great teacher just when I needed help with the plants I had started to collect. If it’s possible to work it in, I would so love to watch you and Samantha Grace create a fairy garden, just for old times sake.
At 47:50... How?? Because you give more than you take. Because you bless millions around you with your kindness, knowledge, and humor. Because you help us believe that we make the same sort of difference with our own little piece of earth that we garden and toil over. Because you bring peace to a world that really needs to feel peace - because you love creating beautiful places out of dirt and rock. I have been so incredibly blessed by your efforts so I don't wonder how, I just give thanks for your efforts. Thank you for helping me become a better version of me as I plant in my backyard and then have people come over to my home and tell me they feel so peaceful here. Your goodness multiplies!
I was putting in my first veg garden 3 decades ago and found a diamond and sapphire gold ring while tilling. Something just glinted in the sun, so I stopped to look…and was blown away. I have since gifted it to my daughter. Good luck finding something gold one day!
You guys are so awesome. I watch other videos showing how "influencers" think the world owes them free product for "exposure" and here you are being genuine and feeling a bit conscious about anything being given to you. I'm guessing a lot of business comes their way after videos collaborating with you two.
Good morning, Laura & Aaron ☕️So impressed with all the workers for the Dream Stream. Love how Brian already has a plan for next year! 😉 Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈🐈
Love the entire pond/dream stream area. Perfect in every way. About the log in the water. logging companies cut timber and roll logs into rivers where they will be preserved for many years. Some of the most expensive and sought-after lumber are those "found" logs that have been underwater for decades.
I am totally reworking my garden space because of the speed that weeds grow in our area. Now that I am getting older I am going to use large pots for planting while also making sure there is room for a lawn mower to mow all of the grass in what used to be the flower beds. The weeds in our area just laugh at us while we pull them.
Hey Laura. I just watched Team Aquascape’s video featuring your dream stream build - the same project but with a different viewpoint. Very enjoyable and I’d recommend it to your dedicated viewers!
Good day everyone. Christmas lights are so beautiful. I wouldn't mind falling asleep to that every night. Keeps things festive. Beautiful pond and dream stream. Something I'd never have probably, but so gorgeous to watch.
If the lights aren't spotlights or bright and obnoxious (which yours are not) and you also are far away from neighbors, they can be on all night, in my opinion. I love lights in the Garden. They have an ethereal vibe for me.
What an absolute fun week of videos! I am just in awe of the results. Question…How did you hold it together?? 😢😊I was tearing up as I watched. I get so much joy from your videos and to see how happy you were was just wonderful. The crew was amazing and I loved how everyone was just happy to be there. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Just finished watching the Dream Team videos! WOW! I cannot believe that you did not cry when it was completed. I sat on my couch and was blown away and said out loud do they know how blessed they are? Recommend that you have a plaque made in bronze with all the teams names and date engraved and place in a prominent location in the new pond/dream stream so that generations down the road can stand in awe of these incredible people. The Bronze will age over time and it will be amazing.
Parenting does come with some tough times as I know exactly what you were trying to say. I always wanted our boys to be totally involved in special things going on but some things do come with dangers that kids don't for see. My mom always told me don't stress over having to fuss at them when they needed it cause when they become parents themselves they will see full circle then. I love watching the excitement in your kids eyes!!! You and Laura are such wonderful parents and everything you do is always with your kids in minds!!!! I am so happy and excited for your family to have this project done!!!
Laura, for your cats there are automatic timer activated feeders. 😃 I’m in a large apartment complex in Chicago, so they are the “go to” for cat owners.😉 Maybe that could help, and the cats could stare at the feeder until it opens.😁
Love the pond. What talented people! In one video I had tears in my eyes as you and kids were so happy. When you are envisioning the final look from planting do you think of Peggy’s stream and all her beautiful plants as inspiration?
I have an aquascape patio bowl on my deck. I have had it for many years. I love the sound of the water. It had fish (cheap pretty feeder fish) until a heron caught them. 😢 Love your Dream Stream. 😅
It is sustainable as you help wildlife that otherwise would struggle! It is high dessert with water without kemicals! I admire you for answering questions with a smile that I feel is like made just to annoy! The purpous is to help wildlife and at the same time enjoy the water and wildlife that you attract, right?!?!
Laura, as you ponder the luck you are having with all aspects of your life, business, family, etc., consider this, you have given of yourself to the Children's Center. This pleases heaven and your returns are blessings for your ministering to the children. Way to Go!
Your property is gorgeous as is the work you do and share. You are creating a legacy that I think has the potential to be on par with Butchart Gardens. I love being able to watch as your property (and family) grows and changes. Thank you!
Laura & Aarón you are all so kind. The question about if the pond was sustainable was a dig at you both. So, what? Because they live in high desert they can’t have any water in their yards? Only people in Florida can have pools? Come on! I live in Arizona (low desert) and everyone (except me 😢) has a pool around here. By the way… it STILL doesn’t rain here. So no matter how many pools / water features it doesn’t evaporate enough to cause a detriment on the environment.
This was a wonderful experience to share with us. I tried to enjoy it everyday as we sat inside watching Hurricane Milton destroy all our trees..gardens and lani. I missed some when the wifi and electricity went out. So I watch them later...it was definitely my happy time❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 congratulations on your pond and dream stream 😊
Hi Gail~Milton surely was a doozey! Sorry to hear of your damages, but encouraged to hear your power is back on. We still have trees ON powerlines & wires down crossing our street. Duke's hoping to get us back online by Tuesday midnight. I'm 🙏🏼 this will happen as gas is in high demand & in short supply. Good Luck with repairs.🤞Let's hope nothing else blows our way.🙄 🙋♀️

You both deserve all that you have. Your entire family has been such a huge inspiration in our lives. Hard working kind, gracious and loving folks. Thanks for all the videos sharing your cats and chickens too. God bless you all👆✝️❤️🙏
Someone get Aaron that chocolate ice cream sponsorship 😂 he can enjoy it at the start of the dream stream and finish it by the time he gets to the end 🎉
Thank you for sharing information about the process of the dream stream and the costs. Watching your videos, I try to guesstimate how much things might cost if I was to repeat it here in Williamsburg VA and this is one of those that I couldn’t quite get a handle on. I was guessing on your pond based on my stream costs but WOW that’s a lot of money…what a gift to get that from Greg etal. It’s absolutely fabulous!!!!
I wanted to say this when you first started the dream stream reveal. The two diggers ( sorry I do not know the real name of them, keep wanting to say back how but I don't know) with them placed together as a heart. You did finally see and point it out. That was just one drop of precious shots I saw in this building. Love what you do and know exactly why these great group of people picked you to do it for. Thank you for all you do.❤
Yes, you didn’t post the soup recipe so I googled it and found one same/similar. Made it last week sans the warm spices and it was delicious. Even my teenager approved. Will definitely make again. Thanks for the great idea!
Aaron is so down to Earth, yet there is the right amount of yeah i can be funny. The Gold, maybe we have found some already, smiling the whole time. So glad he's in videos more now. He's smart and such a delight. He knows Laura well also. On being a protective dad around heavy machinery, absolutely. Children just don't have the sense of danger around something they find so fascinating. Not only a rock coming loose, but the driver is concentrating on the job,an being able to see all around the machine itself is probably impossible. With just men working they know to stay clear, not so a little boy. Feel no quilt dad,Benjamin forgot about it as other things were happening and happening fast. Look from afar in a safe place. I just felt like Susan was there to help with her grandchildren and of course for the lemonade slushies. Then doing a bit of house cleaning and laundry, I'm not surprised, that's how this family rolls. Love you keeping it real when it came to the question on weeds. That you do have help with these jobs, Bethany keeping up on it an i see you weeding also.
The Dream Stream kept me going while on vacation each night before bed. It makes me want to put in a water feature in my yard! It's absolutely stunning! You are so blessed ❤
Your Dream Stream looks like a natural large creek with bank riparian area. So gorgeous! Looks like a forest or woodland scene in nature not an artificially crafted product. Wow! Kudos to the designers and crafts people!
The trick for weeds she mentioned about getting after it in the spring helped me SO much this year. I mulched right after and once you’ve got that the weeds are much easier to remove ❤❤❤ so there is of course the maintenance but they’re EASIER to get out so it’s not as bad as the first go around and then you’ve got your rhythm as you plant the new things ❤
Works in a dry climate, but not in places where we get regular rain. It is a constant battle and every time you turn around there’s a new crop of weeds coming up-they just differ based on the seasons.
You can try and make your own or use capillary mats like from Water Pulse (Walmart started using them in 2014). I worked in a greenhouse that used them on our plant benches and they work great. We just used a hose end timer hooked up to a water spigot and watered every other day, depending on weather (you can set the timer for your needs). It works best if the table is flat and if the plants are in similar size pots AND share similar water needs. The mats use the drip tape between black plastic on the bottom and capillary matting on top of the tape, then a layer of heavy duty landscape fabric. Water Pulse sews the sides and will custom size the mats for you. What a relief to not have to water by hand and the plants did great.
Holy Smokes that Dream Stream is amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing it as the plants mature too. I make thick 'stoups' (cross between stew and soup), too. So good!
How this is possible Laura, because you and Aaron are amazing! You both work so hard, you deserve it, enjoy it. Like I said before, you two will be in books as the greatest Gardner's for people to learn from forever. Save all the video's to keep helping us, and our future generations around the world.🌼🏵🌺🌴
I am so glad you can see parts of it, especially the lights, from the house. Please don't plant evergreens and block your view from the house. When you take down the dying tree and redo that area it will give you a whole new perspective. So excited to see what is next!
Regarding the Hartley table. Feed & Wax is a great product. I use it to rejuvenate everything I have that’s wood. Easy, quick, minimal effort, as I know you’re busy. Love your content , found you in 2015! ❤ Thank you!
So amazing! All the work they did to grant your dream. I have now watched the dream stream on five or six different video outlets. It’s been great to watch and to support all the guys that worked for you. You are truly blessed.
I love your recaps and this one was great. I love the Pond/Stream so much. You two are a great couple and you always make me smile. Have a blessed day everyone.
I am so glad that you finally included pricing, although noting it would vary across the USA, and of course the world! WE, the viewers, all have to remember this is inspirational, not necessarily achievable on the same scale. It takes staff, resources, free supplies/labour, to get the results that are shown on the videos. I am inspired and feel better connected with the open transparency re costs.
The whole pond area is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so glad to see you planting the Miscanrhus purparesens Flame Grass! It's so beautiful in the fall, especially if it's backlit by the western sun! Another beautiful grass is Miscanrhus Little Miss. It turns a beautiful blend of fall colors too. It would look awesome in your garden!
Once again my Sunday afternoon "garden answer " highlights time was wonderful. Everything looks beautiful. Nothing really Said about whether the kids are liking their new water playground. I imagine it's great but would love very to see it when they're playing in it to get a better idea of how it looks and works.

I am so very fortunate to have inherited my Great-Grandpa's cactus, nor sure if it's a Christmas or Easter as it seems to bloom on its own schedule 😏 A good estimation is that it is at the very least 150 years old! He was in his 90s when he passed as was my Grandpa, and I'm now 73. My younger granddaughter loves plants and gardening, something she inherited from her Great-Grandpa, so she will inherit it as the 6th generation!❤️ My Dad had both his Great-granddaughters out in his gardens with him before they could walk💞💞💞 My younger granddaughter wants to homestead my parent's property, now mine, as she says, "when you no longer need it Grammy."🤗😅😅

Nice comment
I agree! ☝️
Exactly! So genuinely kind
The fact that the Aquascape contractors are all “hands on” and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty is why they work together so seamlessly
She would love 💕 That 🎉🎉🎉
At 47:50...
The 2 of you are a super excellent example of an active, healthy, happy marriage .
What a great week of garden answer. Enjoyed everything.
I was putting in my first veg garden 3 decades ago and found a diamond and sapphire gold ring while tilling. Something just glinted in the sun, so I stopped to look…and was blown away. I have since gifted it to my daughter. Good luck finding something gold one day!
I vote more big trees for Spring. The are as beautiful as the the addition to the pond area. Love the transformation. What an exciting week.
You guys are so awesome. I watch other videos showing how "influencers" think the world owes them free product for "exposure" and here you are being genuine and feeling a bit conscious about anything being given to you.
I'm guessing a lot of business comes their way after videos collaborating with you two.
It was awesome to see someone from my east coast town working all the way across the country at your house!
What a week! So glad you are making a home for the trees that might be cut down.
Lovely week❤Everyone worked together in concert creating this wonderful pond and stream. A gift for everyone. Thank you for including us❤
Good morning, Laura & Aaron ☕️So impressed with all the workers for the Dream Stream.
😂🤣🥹
Yes, you work really hard. It is such a joy to watch everything you have accomplished.
Love the Dream Stream and the plants/trees!! The Splash Pad was an exciting surprise!!
Maybe you haven’t found gold yet, but I feel like we ( your viewers ) have 😍
Lol!
AMEN 💥‼️😍‼️💥
Good evening from Perth, Western Australia. My treat on Sunday Evenings. Thank you 😊
Just finished watching the Dream Team videos!
They have their videos for posterity.
So happy for your success, this shows hard work and good people make a good life.
Laura, for your cats there are automatic timer activated feeders. 😃
I’m in a large apartment complex in Chicago, so they are the “go to” for cat owners.😉
Maybe that could help, and the cats could stare at the feeder until it opens.😁
"I also don't want my son to get squished" 😂😂😂😂 same Aaron
Love the pond. What talented people! In one video I had tears in my eyes as you and kids were so happy. When you are envisioning the final look from planting do you think of Peggy’s stream and all her beautiful plants as inspiration?
Coffee and Garden Answer before my work day starts everything out right!
I have an aquascape patio bowl on my deck. I have had it for many years. I love the sound of the water. It had fish (cheap pretty feeder fish) until a heron caught them. 😢 Love your Dream Stream. 😅
I want one so bad but we get flocks of sparrows that can literally empty a simple bird bath in minutes. How do you deal with birds?
Maybe you could put some sort of netting over the top.@@cas26775
Thank you!
@GolfGal I visited Butchart Gardens 2 times already. Beautiful place in Victoria B.C.
Some people seem to spend their lives watching others to see what they can criticize. Maybe they are living in fear.
That’s why I love this channel. They rarely react negatively to digs. Sometimes Laura will say, “I sense a little sass!”😂
Love to see you so excited about the whole process of the Dream Stream, The team was Awesome.
Entire video experience was a joy! Kudos to all. The results show off the team work, no egos on display. Congrats to all of you- you created a dream!
Hope y’all came out ok in the end!
Good Luck with repairs.🤞Let's hope nothing else blows our way.🙄
🙋♀️
Loved this recap, so interesting, viewers asking great questions and hearing your inside answers.. could have sat here all day watching. I just love your channel sooooo much.
You two crack me up! We will know if you find gold, the pool AND the horse barn will be going in at the same time! 😂🎉🎉
Good morning .. time for coffee and GA … happy Sunday everybody 🌸🌼
Thank you for all you do.❤
Would Bethany consider letting you film her yard, pigs etc? Bethany’s yard sounds like it would be interesting to view.
Yes, you didn’t post the soup recipe so I googled it and found one same/similar. Made it last week sans the warm spices and it was delicious. Even my teenager approved. Will definitely make again. Thanks for the great idea!
What recipe did you use? I tried looking it up, but the recipes included beans in it.
I have learnt so much about water features, streams eco systems and pond life. So interesting.
Amen. Nice having Aaron being in the videos. Love their active, honorable pleasant work.
I agree, I love that Aaron has decided to be in more videos.
Also about "the weeds" It is a Full-time Job, it's what they do to make a living. 😂😂😂
@@joanl2057me too..love Aaron..he’s the yin to her yang…so witty also..
Nope, no gold…no pool yet!
This year we used the compost for the garden as mulch and have noticed less weeds. Like it’s almost a weed suppressant😃🙌🏼
Save all the video's to keep helping us, and our future generations around the world.🌼🏵🌺🌴
55:47 when the locust tree is removed and you connect the outdoor fireplace, i think an outdoor pizza oven would be awesome ❤
Erin idea of soup is hilarious “I just wasn’t thirsty”😂😂😂😂
Your mom and dad would enjoy a "bowl" at the patio area to hear and watch while out on the deck.
I am so glad you can see parts of it, especially the lights, from the house. Please don't plant evergreens and block your view from the house. When you take down the dying tree and redo that area it will give you a whole new perspective. So excited to see what is next!
I so enjoyed living vicariously through your family on this dream stream project.
Your cats, and children, make me smile. How is Cheddar doing at his new home?
Where did Cheddar go? I missed that.

Regarding the Hartley table. Feed & Wax is a great product. I use it to rejuvenate everything I have that’s wood. Easy, quick, minimal effort, as I know you’re busy. Love your content , found you in 2015! ❤ Thank you!
Thanks..I’m going to try that..I’m assuming you’re talking Howard’s feed and wax..
Yes, Howard’s. 👍
@@kathleensabre589 thank you
Please consider…you have the pond & dream stream! Your parents have the pool. Family has great places to enjoy together!
Great recap! I love to listen to you guys. Always interesting content.
I enjoy these recaps so much.
LOL "I just wasn't thirsty at the time!" 😆 But I am 100% on Team Aaron when it comes to chocolate vs vanilla ice cream!!
That’s what A personality’s do!! They clean before the person comes to clean! Because they don’t want anyone to see their mess!! That’s me!
Millennial gardener is a great source for figs trees. I hope that it helps. I have 2. Mission and turkey. The mission fig after 3 years just fruited I'm so excited. Take care and good luck!
Thank you for all that you do in bringing quality, informative, and engaging content. Question: Will you be bringing back the "wreath"/holiday sweatshirts? Please consider bringing these shirts back before the holidays...❤😊❤
Yes! The Garden Answer wreath shirt would be a “have to have.”
7:01 😂😂😂 “I wasn’t thirsty at the time” 🤣
I loved hearing new information about the chickens, the possum, how the cats are fed & hiw they scratch at the door. Great new information about the wonderful dream stream. I too was curious about the price.
Yes We want to see at night Would love to see that Thank You so much for Sharing all of this with us
Love watching your recap videos! Laura and Aaron you are wonderful together ❤the Dream Stream and pond are amazing!
Light shine into my house from my neighbors front porch light and reflects thru the whole open area on .my setting and kitchen area. Drives me nuts.
I love Aaron's sense of humor!😂
Fantastic Week!! Thanks for all the videos!! Definitely looking Forward to Next Year!! This is so Exciting!! I don't mind the long videos!! Thank You So Much For Sharing!! Enjoy your Dream Stream!!
Good morning Laura! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed watching the dream stream go in! I feel a bit melancholy about it be over.
Now that you’ve moved into the new warehouse, will you allow folks to come shop on site? Or do pick up online orders? Boise girl here:) Love ,Love watching your channel!
I wonder the same, west of Caldwell.
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
