Amazing presentation by two dedicated physicians, truly "Trail Blazers" who by sharing their discoveries of the "whys"for declining health within the masses and offering clinical studies supporting causation of the underlying inflammatory processes at the root of so many debilitating disease processes. I applaud both Dr. Gundry and Dr. Bredesen for their dedication to mankind in their efforts to step outside the medical mainstream status quo of treating the symptoms and going for the causation. Bravo!

I've been a Counselor since 1968, and it didn't take me long to realize that my clients that ate well and moved their bodies a lot (exercise or work, garening, etc.) were able to make the changes in their lives that we were discussing, and the ones that didn't weren't. I was also a Yoga teacher so I began to give each client a Yoga Posture to do daily. I don't think it was a coincidence that I started my work life a Home Economics teacher, with emphasis on Nutrition, so it all ties up together. You don't need my corroboration, but you have it- wholeheartedly- I am thrilled with you and your work.

Extraordinary and so clear. I have been practicing Yoga for 41 years and find that this talk confirms ancient knowledge and ancient recommendations for lifestyle. What a pleasure to see the explanation now from a medical perspective.
I would love to also see an interview on autism, since we seem to be having an epidemic there too and wonder if there is also a correlation with toxins.

Dr. Dale Bredesen excellent presentation, great perspective, great information. One thing that is critically important to point out. MCT the medium chain saturated oil is not a problem for cholesterol it is an asset. MCT oil raises the cholesterol particle size, hence it is an asset and not a threat to the heart in spite of the fact it is considered saturated. The science is out there if you look for it. I would sight it but I don't have it in front of me. People in Southesat Asia use palm oil which is loaded with MCT oil. My wife lives in Thailand I have encouraged her to use it. For heart health it is healthier than olive oil per say. Olive oil does not effect particle size. This notion about saturated fats and total cholesterol numbers are old notions and great models to adhere to for the statin manufactures but old............Its about particle size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your research! This is amazing information and thank you for the technology that allows you to share it as you are. I'm no one special, just an individual who has been interested in optimal health for myself, family and friends.
I've been studying nutrition and health for over 25 years now. All of my favorite resources (books) talk about reducing or eliminating toxins from food, eating a majority plant based diet, and short term fasting has also been a topic of interest, (among many more!)
For many of those 25 years, I was fairly strict with my diet and I'm a very active person. (Mountain biker, walk to work every day, ride my bike or walk to get groceries) and I've never suffered from disease. I think my brain is healthy. (fingers crossed!)
I slacked off of the diet for a few years (all the while, enjoying a majority plant based diet) but am now, more concerned about food with regards to pesticides, mercury in fish , more pollution in the air, antibiotics in chicken and cows, how our water is treated, etc.
This interview and others that I've watched by Dr. Gundry are very eye opening and making me want to get back on track.
As I mentioned, I think I"m healthy....my full medical test at the age of 54 came back with no concerns except for low B-12 (easy fix) and I"m now 56 with the energy and body of most 25 year old athletic women that I know! (not bragging, just very grateful and proud). Is it genetics? (I come from good genetics. My grandmother turned 100 this year!) Or am I paving my own path as a healthy, active and happy person.
Just a long winded thought :)

    Bravo, doctors!
My frustrations are accessing “real” food. I’m aghast what is sold a food. Sugars, round-up, ultra processed, and a myriad “enrichments” and colorants. Even pasture raised! 😖 Seems we are being embalmed alive. No wonder I have severe heavy metal toxicity. No thank you, Alzheimers!

The simple version is that amyloid plaques build up in the brain blocking neuron connections while at the same time tangles build up in the neurons. Neurons in the brain control the body. As they connections go away the body stops functioning. Typically takes 7-12 years. To help prevent Alzheimer's exercise get proper sleep and eat healthy.

What about chelation therapy? My uncle was told he `had a major blockage in his carotid artery. He started having chelation therapy performed by a regular cardiologist. It cleared his artery completely. He never had a stroke or a heart attack and lived to be 101. ` My mom was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and was told she had a lot of calcium blockages. I assume chelation would help this condition. `If `researchers are correct that inflammation is a major factor in the development of Alzheimer's, then wouldn't high dose prednisone and other `cortisones ward off Alzheimer's? Has anyone looked at the rate of Alzheimer's in people with Addison's disease and auto immune `diseases who have been taking these drugs for years?

this is one of the most important Podcasts, after Plant Paradox and Inflammation.
Gundy is another voice crying in the wilderness, which voice threatens billions and billions of dollars of establishment.
Back in the 1970's, I began learning about and using vitamins. At that time, I assumed the future would be a wonderful time of very little disease and suffering.
    ha
What people typically do not consider is the associated suffering, of many, many kinds, which occurs as a result of the unnecessary illness due to faulty diet.
Suffering in the world begets suffering, spreading out in a widening circle.
Gundy is a Mother Teresa, in this respect.

Great info, but let's see ... Book, physician education program, testing, recommendations that everyone does it ... Sorry, but this is not only ridiculously expensive for an entire population to consider, but sounds all to enterprising too. It's impractical as a general recommendation. Focused info on causes and and practical preventative measures would serve mankind better than an entire new medical industry. Great work, to be sure, but let's be real. The takeaway can't be $1,000 of testing for everyone over 50.

I told my sister about it, (she has type 1 diabetes, painful neuropathy and dairy and gluten sensitivity) and bought her his books, (The Plant Paradox and The Longevity Paradox) so she's buying herself a pressure cooker and is going to give it a go. Unfortunately she's only just starting, so I can't tell you how she's doing, but from we're hopeful that it's going work.

Marilyn Sinquimani There’s a connection between Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia. The problem is finding a doctor who is knowledgeable about it. Lyme is a tick-borne disease and an inflammatory disease. Fibromyalgia is an inflammatory disease. (Our oldest son almost died from Lyme disease so I’ve learned some things about it.) Lyme is really the, or an, underlying cause of inflammatory diseases.

I believe Alzheimer's is more prevalent today, however, we must consider that with mass media we hear about more people having it today than many years ago. I also believe that poor diets and addictions like cigarettes, alcohol, etc contribute. Actually bad food is an addiction, too, I know, I have this addiction to sugar.
