Tomo is merely suggesting an alternative "realistic" game to play in the meantime, since there is no planned release date for Unrecord.

This isn't even my normal style of game but your Ready or Not content has all been 100% hits, in my opinion. Also, the painstaking work you put into finding the mods and applying a bunch of post-production enhancements to deepen the realism is not only appreciated, it's unbelievable.
Graphics aside, if you can't buy a vending machine coffee in Unrecord, the realism will be destroyed. 🍩☕

Ready or Not is such an under-rated game, I love it. Every time there is an update me and a friend always hop on to try the new maps/changes. Always exciting to see it played on YT too, thanks Tomo!

The only sad thing about it is that it isn’t pvp yet! Make a game mode like insurgency where you can play ambush and this game will be top notch

This video is awesome! Really highlights how awesome Ready or Not is for solo play, despite co-op looking like a ton of fun. I had this game in my library for a good while but never got around to playing it until this past weekend. I had a blast playing solo, and was super impressed by how polished it was and feature packed with tactics, gadgets and functions. I'll be checking out this mod for sure. While I'm hyped for Unrecord, Ready or Not will certainly be scratching that tactical realism FPS itch for me.
amazing video, those headshots were great, only break in immersion (like most Ready or Not videos) is when you yelled "Hands up!" at the dead body at 6:14😂😂

New sub here based on this content alone. Several of the commenters had it right in that you're not just regurgitating what all the other reviewers have done with the Unrecord footage. You actually took some time to tie it to an example that we could relate to, or could at least go out and purchase if we so chose. That's thinking about how you are going to provide solid content for your subscribers and that's why I subscribed. My sub list is definitely getting smaller but of much better quality.

@@TomographicNO RESPONSE REQUIRED: In my adult mind, some of that is deserved and I am happy to provide the likes for filler content as long as the base content is solid and I feel the creator is invested in whatever they are doing. We can tell, we can really, really tell and some creators seem to think differently. I don't base my viewership on popularity and I do want/expect more than a Dr D, Tim, or ZLaner generating fake drama for clicks and donos. That shit is nauseating to me and not sure how those guys live with themselves knowing their ridiculous lifestyle is being propped up by 10 year olds with access to Mom and Dad's credit cards. From 9:20 to 10:30 - it may happen elsewhere in the video as well, but i feel this is the best graphics i've ever seen in a game. The visual effect is amazing & the wet trail of blood with the bit of coagulation on the ground is extremely convincing. I'm in awe.

Unrecord looks absolutely insane. There's another body cam style game that's going to come out (or already has?) and it's a horror game. But for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. But I'll be here when Unrecord releases, and I'll be devouring whatever videos you release on it. I just hope it doesn't get to be too much for the dev(s) and have it end up abandoned.

Insane effort here, love the commitment! RoN is such a beast of a game once you start modding it, plus the developers are constantly updating this game and making it better. Such an easy game to learn, but so hard to master!

Nice work! Tracking those PP masks aint easy! Looks like we've all be researching a 'while you wait' game. I think it's more the lighting than details and textures which make a game look real. Looks like way more dynamic range and contrast in UE5. Could probably achieve something similar to Unrecord with a lighting mod too.

I did not realize the impact of the face blur until you pointed out the uncanny valley thing. Truer words have never been said, even the badass cod cinematics nowadays still have something “off” about them
Takes me back to the first Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games from the 90's and The Swat tactical game I can't remember the exact name of. Great games of the era and rock hard to play. A great change at the time to the run and gun of Doom and Quake 1 and 2. I was dissapointed when Fps moved away from the hyper realistic genre, but it's great to see it getting a new lease of life. Interesting to see how that fisheye lens style plays in a game like this. Still something about the unrecord hand movements that seem weird to me though, from a game play perspective, animation wise they’re excellent
The hand movement seeming wierd is because they move independently of the center of the screen which is very unusual for fps games. From what it looks like, your mouse will move the hand and weapon before your actual viewpoint. Look up Insurgency Sandtorm or 007 Goldeneye for already-existing examples of this.
it's too high resolution, too fast and smooth compared to actual body footage. and the movements executed beyond perfect with no error.
don't look like an average bodycam footage with those moments, but rather you are watching john wick from a bodycam. it's literally too perfect to be there lol
If someone can add a proper sprint mechanic along with faster gameplay systems and maybe even loosening the camera from the hands a bit (not sure if possible) as a mod for a singleplayer experience, I think that's one brilliant way of turning Ready or Not even closer to the appeal found in Unrecord.
u mean more run n gun lol fxck no man...if anything they should teach basic element tactics so ppl get an idea how to play together...door stacking/room clearing/slicing/element formations/lines of fire etc...too many run n gun jags already in the lobbys imo

I'm talking about a modded singleplayer experience that could replicate Unrecord's footage. That's it. You're acting like I want it to replace the actual mechanics of Ready or Not. I fully comprehend why there's no sprinting and run-and-gun systems by default. And I have no issues with it.

all these games need tarkov style movement adjustment where you can use the scroll of your mouse to walk slower or faster.
RoN literally feels like you are a turtle holding a gun. It gets especially funny when the last suspects is nowhere to be seen so now you need to go back to places you have already cleared to find where he is gone... with that shitty movement speed.

My friend group has an in-joke of me talking about RoN all the time, to the point they KNEW id immediately wishlist Unrecord, so this video feels like it was made for me lol, great job editing the video too, the face blur works pretty well in RoN too.

I think its definitely possible to make faces look real in games take red dead redemption 2 for example the faces are just so detailed that they look pretty real

Kane and Lynch Dog days is a title that comes to mind with these aesthetics, back when it came out it was met with some grievances for going the route it did in terms of its visual style and depiction of violence, it was "beautifully flawed" but I personally enjoyed the "dirty" gameplay that game presented, it was immersive in another way that a lot games seem to miss in creating that type of experience. It honestly wasn't the most graphically groundbreaking game but it left you with a feeling that I couldn't express fully, but its style really sold me through it.
Damn, Tomo, you went above and beyond for this one, awesome work!

10:06 the way the body collapsed is good detail that’s accurate to real life when someone gets shot in the head most games or movies never get that right
The initial gameplay footage within the warehouse was impressive and nearly indistinguishable, however the remaining footage looks like a higher render of the current stuff we’ve been used to.

It’s funny how some people play games to escape reality and game developers makes games as realistic as they can.
The realistic-ness can contribute to how easily it immerses you. If you did something in a video game and it behaved like it does in real life you'd carry on like nothing happened, while if you experienced some error or the game was more fantastical and less grounded to realism, it would remind you you're playing a game, and detract from your immersion.
i mean you are not wrong but when games get more realistic you can escape "you're" reality and go to someone elses and this even immerses you more

Great work on this vid I just hit 200 hrs on ready or not it's one of the games that got me on pc from xbox ready ornot is hands down the best fps ATM I love ground branch squad he'll let loose scp insurgency ohd and m9re I'm forgetting and I'm always drawn back to this game like every other day. The modding community is so amazing the talent is off the charts and the mods will give you endless replay ability!! Shout out to BALLISTIQUE possibly one of the best modders for guns on nexus.
The dev of Unrecord did a "no-clip" video to try and prove it was real, yet it was still very easy to do with simple video editing (in fact the technique they used is standard in the film industry, you can even see the very slight cut in the dev video). I asked them multiple times to do an "under map no clip". They still haven't provided one. I'll be convinced when they can show that.

Nice gameplay! The only thing I wanted to mention was the way you fired from 9:57 to 10:07, when playing without a cursor it is better to coordinate your shots and not just rapidly shoot. Especially when you have that shield protecting you, there was plenty of time to get your trajectory right without aiming down sights.

Solo can be just as fun! The AI squadmates are pretty useful. Of you can just order them to move to a position and stand there while you "clean house" 😅

i think this fish eye lens mechanic might be a good way to create shooters in vr,
most problems in vr are monition sickness and vertigo, it was solved with little things like adding a cross hair and solid object in front of the camera like a gun on pc, however both aren't that applicable in vr as it takes away from vr, so fish eye might be better for vr gaming adding a fake border that helps the player not get sick too much,
it might create a new realistic genre of gaming when its combined with what unrecorded is doing.
I got into VR thinking it's this next-level shit.
I ended up feeling like I'm looking at a screen inside a cardboard, rather than looking at a screen. I get more motion sickness looking at my monitor than playing VR games, can't understand how this many people experience this embarrasing issue on VR.
