Hi madfit I've been doing this beginners ab workout 5 days a week and it was painful at first and I had to stop mid excercise but after 2 weeks it's now better and I don't stop but can complete each set without stopping so I can already see improvement so thank you. I'm a 59 yr old man. And am finding it certainly challenging but doable. Thanks for your efforts much appreciated Michael.

I learnt how to properly activate my core with this workout WITHOUT neck straining. It resulted in a pleasant burn for me. Thanks for this workout!
Any tips on preventing neck strain and/or lower back pain? Ty
@@sillygoose007 just really focus on pushing your lower back to the ground so that you’re not arching. Even in plank you need to keep your whole body flat and in line, and keep the neck long. You never want to pull on the neck, so if you have trouble with that it can help just to keep your head on the ground when you’re first starting out! Hope this helps!
It was pretty challenging, I did it pretty conservatively , my belly is the most problematic part of my torso , but I was able to follow closely , Maddie is a phenomenal coach , and I thank her so much !

I’m day 2 into this workout and I’m doing it x2 a day. I love this workout because it taught me things I wasn’t able to understand before e.g, no neck pain, how to keep your lower back down, how to feel the burn. These are the most struggles from what I heard people struggle with and this workout made me understand how to do it right. YOU GO MADDIE!!!

i don’t think i’ve ever actually worked out my abs properly but this is a good beginner workout. one day i’ll make it through without flopping during the plank i just know it!

Maddie this was great. I hit a really bad depression around my provinces third failed lockdown and stopped doing all workouts, but you make them so easy to come back to. I really appreciate how your beginner moves are ACTUALLY beginner.

I’ve been doing Maddie’s workouts for quite some time and I usually always go for the intense ab videos.
However, I wanted to slow things down today and focus on my form and this was the perfect video! Still gave me a good burn.
I just started with you twice I’m not able to do all the exercises just yet but, I try. I want to let you know that the exercises are tough but, affective! I really enjoy doing your exercises and 30 minute stretches. I find you to be the best instructor on RUclips you’re amazing!

Just wanted to thank you for all your videos. I enjoy the variety of workouts, intensities, and level options. Plus the calm energy you bring is much easier for me to engage with versus the more... intense "rah-rah" cheerleading by other instructors. Also, love the new setting.
This is an amazing ab workout! I love all of your workouts because even though I am not very in shape, I feel that I can complete this workout. You are also one of the best workout people that also includes easier alternatives of some of the exercises such as side plank my using your knees instead of feet! Love the beginner approach and that there are difficulty options! Some of the exercises I could totally keep up but it was nice to have a simpler option for exercises that were a struggle for me.

Note: beginners who are longer in years, like me, find front plank challenging. Hard on the wrists. Hard to maintain ( not quite strong enough).
Any tips you can share for how to eventually get strong enough to do hip lift, much appreciated.
