      @vitazenhealth  28 дней назад +1

      Oh, that's a bummer about the purple potatoes! Beets and beet greens are actually quite nutritious too, with plenty of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. They might not be the same, but they're definitely a great alternative!

    Juicing: juice carrots and spinach together. We will get all the nutrients. Eat other foods for the fiber.
    After juicing carrots, I will eat 1/2 cup of the carrots in the container at the back of the juicer for the fiber.
    While eating carrots provide nutrients, not as much as juicing, because the body does not completely break down the raw carrots.

      Get a vitamix blender and use the whole product. I’ll put it carrots, broccoli, kale, cabbage, asparagus, celery, lemon with the peal too, avocado, and anything else I buy. I cut them up and freeze them as well as berries. I use almond milk and coffee for my liquid. Add MCT oil, nuts, ginger, chia seeds, or anything else you believe will be healthy.

      @vitazenhealth Jack Lalanne's.
      I also make fruit smoothies....and eat while fruits and vegetables.
      My 1st and favorite juicer was, The Juiceman, and it arrived with casset tapes on nutrients. He advised not to mix fruits and vegetables. He said juiced cabbage must be consumed immediately or it loses its nutrients value....cant recall why.
      Exposure to oxygen, maybe?
      Cabbage really good for stomach ailments, like what used to be called ulcers. Long time ago though.

      In general, if you don't have kidney health problems, then you do not have to worry about maintaining a low-oxalate diet. But if you have or have ever had kidney health issues, then you should consult with your healthcare provider about whether or not you need monitor your oxalate consumption.

    Dr is it ok to eat Cruciferous with hypothyroidism?

    • @susannechakan4939
      @susannechakan4939 Месяц назад

      you might want to do more research. Maybe you could find a qualified dietitian online with free info? Or a nutritionist. Read this on a Google search: "Thyroid hormone monitors growth, cell repair, and metabolism in our body. People with thyroid disorders should avoid goitrogens in their diet. Goitrogens are compounds that interfere with the normal functioning of the thyroid gland in our body. Diet plays a major role in the management of thyroid disorders.
      There are certain vegetables that contain goitrogens and should be avoided, For example
      Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and kale. They interfere with how the gland uses iodine for producing hormones.
      Sweet potatoes, cassava are some of the starch plants to be avoided
      Fruits such as peaches, pears, and strawberries should be avoided as well"
      This is from Zyla Health.

      most traditional doctors are not taught anything about nutrition. This Dr. has very good info. I would add that if you can find it and afford it go for as much organic food as you can. Look up the dirt dozen fruits and vegetables (might be 13 now) and at least try to get those organic. Don't drink distilled water. If you can afford it, drink spring water. It has lots of good minerals in it. 🌺
