    I am concerned about the oxalates too. I love healthy eating and the salads sound amazing to me. I was trying to improve my health and got in a world of hurt instead. Got joint pain, bladder pain, kidney stones and more. Eating a lot of Swiss Chard, Kale, Spinach, beets, sweet potatoes and nuts. These are some of the highest in oxalates. Now that I slowly got oxalates out of my system, I mostly eat low oxalates and smaller quantities of high oxalates foods. Whew, doing much better!

    • @vitazenhealth
      @vitazenhealth  20 дней назад +1

      Consuming vegetables (that contain oxalic acid) as part of a balanced diet generally poses no risk for most people. Those with specific health conditions like kidney stones may need to moderate their intake of high-oxalate foods, and it's best to consult with a healthcare provider in such cases.

      You can eat chickpea pasta, including chickpea orzo, and still enjoy many of the benefits that regular chickpeas offer. These pasta varieties are typically made from chickpea flour and retain a good amount of the protein, fiber, and nutrients found in whole chickpeas. However, the exact nutritional content can vary, so it's worth checking the labels to compare.

    • @les4cs822
      @les4cs822 20 дней назад +8

      It depends on who you are asking! There are plants based diet with oil and plants based diet without oil. You have to choose your side. I am not a doctor but after many years of research and experience, I can tell you that not all oils are created equal. Olive oil that you put on your salad is good. Coconut oil and avocado oil are good for cooking. Stick with those 3 , buy good cold pressed ones and enjoy in moderation.

      I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. It's true that a whole food plant-based diet often recommends minimizing processed oils, including seed oils, to maximize the nutritional benefits from whole foods. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare provider or a dietitian who can give personalized advice based on your husband's specific health needs and cancer treatment plan.
