Yes sir that is correct about J&K 6.3L engines. They are a beast of a engine. Tons of ppl here in Texas run those engines. Nothing but excellent reviews. Pretty good warranty too
Aside from the 6.3 and 5k gov spring. It really got me how he said if you’re looking to roll coal, this turbo setup is the way to go 😂😂 turbo really has very little to do with it, mostly just better fuel and tunes are how you get smoke. And the thing about the 800hp Cummins and you have 800 hp wether you’re on it or not... I wish I had an engine that made 800 on idle... lmao
Lol turbo does have something to do with it if it isn’t big enough to put enough air for the fuel then it will smoke more but they go hand in more fuel you want a bigger turbo to help clear the smoke up but also the non vgt turbo will smoke more on bottom end until it catches up
There is a company that makes a 6.0 that’s stroked out to 6.3l it’s J&K engines (if I remember correctly)

You messed up on it being a 6.3 because of a .030 over bore. That would only make it a 6.05 no where close to a 6.3

I agree - I have been recently looking at 6.0s - so much bad info on them - I've owned 24vs ,12vs,7.3s - my test drive in a 6.0 6 speed made me a huge fan - might need a few common issues fixed but man that was a nice driving truck with tons of power
Fuck it. The way I see it, let the reetards spread misinformation and create a bad reputation for em. It just keeps them cheap. I can pickup 2wd 6.0s for for like 10k, then just do the usual mods, stud it, gaskets, egr delete etc. Then you got a kickass truck, and the 6.0 sounds the best of all the power strokes IMHO and can make serious power.
@@robertkurtz7587theyre dead reliable as long as you keep stock power deleted. Same with even 6.4s. Stock power fully deleted emissions run good and long

I love my 6.0 (04 f250 single cab knap hide 8' bed) bought it at 160,000 currently at 193,000. Had a few issues after a few months. It was just a back pressure sensor and the ficm. And bad alternator and dash draining the battery. Cost about 1600 in repairs no issues since. It's stock I've pulled skid steers up and down the highway no problem. It's pulled everything I've hooked up to with plenty of power.
I got a ghost drain on my 2006 f250. How did you track down the dash drain?

How did this work out as far as reliability as well as fuel mileage? I'm doing a frame off on a 97 crew cab dually 7.3. thinking about putting on of theys in it.

Sorry but 205s don't get you 800hp, but them 5k governor springs do. You would need more like 285cc hybrids to get to 800hp.

The only company that even makes or really advertises for a 6.3 is J&K Machine in Tennessee, you have to redo the bottom end of the motor, that means 6.4 crank ect ect, advice really do your research before you do videos, it’s the quickest way to loose subscribers and you now have a great chance of becoming the new meme on Super Duty forums.....A motor machined 30 doesn’t mean it’s a 6.3....or 20 over now becoming a 6.2....just FYI

So I've done some research on these engines and from what I know is that they were designed in Europe and the fuel quality there is way better than here in the US so that has alot to do with the turbo spot buildup as well as the egr if you run archoil I guess it completely resolves those issues go over to powerstroke helps page the man has pretty much mad the 6.0 just as reliable if not a little more than a 12v cummins and let's be honest there is no better sounding light duty truck engine and the performance is unreal out of a little 6 liter in my opinion it is the best diesel engine ford made after it is bullet proofed and I am a 7.3 fan but the performance and sound sets it aside from the competition but that's just my opinion

Was a 6.0 basically ya buy a blown up 6.0 on a preferably rust free 03-07 super duty that has a generally bad rep for a couple thousand bucks and dump 20 plus in a custom built motor and still not have a mortgage amount in a truck not worth it and avoid expensive emissions payments etc it's about having what you want and that looks different to everyone but there is clearly a 6.3 now just like everyone with a Camaro doesn't just have a 5.7 LSI etc there are dudes with their motor sticking out the hood with crazy motors of all sizes configurations etc
