I used to have a 95 7.3 for my first truck, did some power mods that I could on the stock tune. Started having some head gasket issues so I sold it & got a 93 7.3 idi w a ZF5. The 95 was an auto so couldn’t do much more power without beefing up the transmission. These things are great & would love to get another in the future!
@@blugods2655Ya I’ll stick with my IDI over all the shitty electronics and the pita it is to work on them. If I wanna go fast I’ll just jump in my LSX Silverado…..

Yessir, I have a 01 7.3 with 120k miles stock motor just on a tune, more aggressive turbo wheel, and then of course some exterior mods such as rims, etc. I had some guy want to trade me his 6.7 which he has easily put over 40k. I also had some guy offer me 30k which is actually really good.

It works good too that's why I was getting 19 miles a gallon pulling a 39 foot trailer weighing 17,500 lb

Nah cummins sucks. 6.0 and 6.4 Navistar engines are far better and are used in actual heavy duty trucks. Cummins are just weak tractor engines
Proof that 7.3s aren't as gutless as everyone claims they are

The amount of work it takes to make a 7.3 go from 0-60 in less than a minute
it's pretty easy, especially on a the 99.5 and up engines. same as a Cummins, automatically needs fuel pumps and injectors to make power.
All it needs is a manual transmission and it makes all the power
7.3’s are the most expensive way to go slow
Slap a tuner in it and call it a day
It’s not that hard ngl
