If the telescoping tube that was broken by the limb was thicker it would be heavier. The more weight further out on the end the more difficult it is to use, the more strength it takes.

True. I’ve been using a battery powered Ryobi with three screw-together sections & it’s a 9’ long boat anchor. Awkward & just plain unpleasant to use.

Never put tension on limbs while cutting.for future reference. It' causes pinches and breaks bars and drive links.freind

Like your honesty!! First one of seen doing so.thanks.I'm landscaper as well but raised true TREE guy.since age 12 im 45..I see alot of nonsense reviews ..about to get pole saw..mainly for weight reasons I like this one.and it's reach and the bar matches my echo climb saws same bar size ..on 2511t ..dont like echo trimmers I use shindiawa the older ones before the buy out ..echo makes square plastic shape junk.on WEEDEATERS they are doing it to the new shindaiwa whips, it angers me.best weed eater is shindiawa t235 and the combi, m version.I do 150 property's includeing a huge park for parks reck plus my own yards ..it's. Best weed eater for weight and the build easy to work on.it's rounded full cover will role on hills and not brake.been doing this 27 years by that model weed eater before there gone ..they are made more comercisl at entry level comercial.I use it all over the state in tall and comercial plus residential.it's best ..red max has one for same price at 250.plus tax but it has that flex shaft and that square desighn dealer s are screwing us again.just trying to help ya out ..but I would by those t235 fives plural before there gone.all these dealers are out of big saws as I bought last 462 cm they had and before I used it had blown seal and crank case. Beware of dealers ..I try buy the models from last 2 years so you can fix them yourself and mostly wont need to if you blow them out with compressor and changed out filters plugs exctra.any saw you buy you better be cleaning it out with choke closed and compressor nightly.fines will get in your piston.poor airfilters,

I’ve watched a dozen videos of people talking about this pole saw. Virtually zero of them using it or showing any results with it. Hate to be a dick, but talk is cheap & it only pleases the speaker. How about a video of the tool being used for 20 minutes or so?

Everyone likes that handle my concern is longevity.seen on arborist site as im a climber they said they like it better for removals for the weight and the bigger chain ..and they like the sthil for pruneing, it has smaller kerf chain ..Pico or micro ..

I don’t know if I should get the straight handle or the loop someone said you can reach further with the straight but I don’t really see how

I’ve used the loop handle that a buddy had and was about to buy one for myself. My saw shop told me the straight handle was preferred over the looped by most folks and was very much more durable than the looped handle.

BigJack 601 I ended up getting the loop handle one not long after that comment but I’m glad I did it’s a lot more comfortable especially if you have to stretch out your arms and so far so good reliability wise

Echo has an awful warranty, they don't honor it at all. I worked at an echo dealer and echo themselves told us that it's not there problem and that they don't cover anything

I’ve never had a problem using an Echo warranty.

I got a free new coil on a 7 year old Echo saw. Lifetime ignition warranty. I still have the saw almost 20 years later.
