i just use bluestack. it's an android emulator. it works just like phone, you can use all functionality of instagram just like phone, no upload and storage limit, it's free, and you can play games or use any other playstore app. it can also use webcam as the camera.i can use my drawing tablet to paint in the story, etc. I hope more people know this.

So after watching this my final conclusion is that their is no way to upload video from desktop ,unless you have a paid version of lately. inspect mode doesn't allow video either if their is a way to upload video from desktop to IG, for free, let us/me know thanks in advance
*open up instagram in chrome , *Sign in with your account *select tablet/phone tab in inspect mode(right click on the page and it will show up inspect or simply press Ctrl+shift+i ). switch to tablet/phone mode. *click on your profile tab on top right corner, *go to IGTV video tab and add a new video. i uploaded a 561mb video file in this way and i hope this helps you all here's a the video instagram.com/p/B_0AAlZHSB4/

Hello Eddie, Just one Thing. The flume method did not works for carousel post. I mean if u wanna post multiple pictures , the upload fails ... Is like this since a lot of time and the Support team of the developer do not answer for any kind of help. Flume Pro costs some money so it is better that people know this before spend some money and get disappoited!

Thanks Eddie. I’m going to install Flume for posting videos on my Mac. It will be interesting to see what the max file size is for uploading videos with Flume. Mine are song/music videos about 80-100Mb. Might have to export them smaller!

Maybe its not controlled by chrome, even-though it is said to be a chrom extension. So it might mean it is not a safe website and it can store the profile data. So not sure if there is any other safer and better option!

If you click on the word Responsive which is located to the left of the same toolbar with the blue cell phone icon, you can change the setting to the type of phone you have. There you can upload videos, but you are limited to a specific format.

Not working under Windows, I can only select image files, I can switch to "all file Types" and select a mp4 Video but nothing happens.

you were signing onto the account from a different website so it was probably -you-
