I don't know about the PC version, I use Filmora & Premiere Pro. But, I've been using CapCut on my phone for the longest. Not only is it beginner friendly, there are a lot of useful tools that make the job easier that other editors don't have.
As someone who has been editing videos since i was about 11, Capcut is a really great and cheap software for a RUclipsr. It does a great job with a lot of features
I always used to use capcut because it gave me the ability to create professional looking videos without the boundaries of a professional type software (Like Adobe's subscription or Davinci's hard learning curve). I really do recommend it for any beginners looking to make professional looking videos. However, I have recently left Capcut, because it was about a 50% chance that mp4s would turn into mp3s and it would make the editing process like 4x longer.
And they locked so much useful features behind paywall now u csnt evenseparate voice from a sound without paying it sucks + +99% of of the update is only for desktop so the mobile app Doesn't even get any good updates

Also rotation, playback speed and concatenating clips is kind of easy to do and much faster than messing with a full-blown video editor program. I'm so glad you covered this. I've been using CapCut since I began content creation, and as someone who was jumping into the whole scene blind, CapCut was perfect. It also is the only thing that is free and runs on my potato laptop.
I've used CapCut for about two years. Typically it is very good. There was one update that broke a lot of things, and I did take a break from it. I came back to it though.

First time watching your channel-you're killing it! I love the content! By the way, I use CapCut daily to edit TV ads, and there are so many hidden tools you haven’t explored yet. The pro version has even more features that are really impressive. I used to be an Adobe Premiere user, but honestly, CapCut is just as fast as Final Cut Pro for me. Plus, the sheer amount of great templates for almost everything helps me focus more on the creative side of the video rather than the technical editing part.
I was a VideoPad user, and it was laggy at times and crashed. But I found CapCut, it was WAY simpler to use and had all the features I needed for my videos. It hasn't even crashed once since I started using it back in July.
i use it for a couple reasons 1 its free 2 its easy to learn 3it doesnt have watermarks 4 its on mobile so i can continue editing when i leave my house
10:50 to do an audio transition just drag your other clip into a track underneath your main one, stretch (or move) the bottom one underneath the main track, and then fade out the main track and fade in the second one (hopefully that made sense)
16:48 you can add guides in davinci. Add an adjustment layer, and then in open fx pull grid over to it. Customize the grid however you need from there.
i used to be a podcast editor, and i decided to challange myself with only using capcut for 1 video and my god it's a nightmare for a huge long project like podcast with 3 different camera perspective. but for short form which i sometime make for the clips, it's a godsend! especially the auto caption thingy, just need a little bit of adjustment and tweak a little bit and it saves a lot of time. and back then, capcut got a little bit of bug where when you speed up the video, the audio will go stay on original speed and go out of sync so you need to restart the app and it'll back to normal. oh and for some reason it sometime freezes on my pc for couple sec for no reason..
that is why is dont use it, i dont like that the CCP is getting more data from me (us that is) who knows that there is a piggyback option in it that can abuse your system when your doing other stuff, (yes, i am paranoid as shit )

Out of all the free video editors I've used throughout the years, CapCut has been the most user-friendly video editor I'd ever came across. All of the previous softwares I've gone through are slow and unstable, but I never got it with CapCut, even though I am currently using it with my potato PC.

Don't listen to them some of them are just salty cap cut is great for editing for RUclips and other social media platforms. Whilst the others are better at more advanced stuff color grading compositing etc.

its not just that capcut is expensive but also you need good quality hardware such as a good gpu in order to use adobe after effects for example. whereas capcut you can just use on your phone even. if it was not for the hardware requirements in ae, i would personally be willing to pay the money
Hi. I ditched Premiere for CapCut. I've edited in premiere for almost 10 years and last year I switched to CapCut for faster editing and rendering. I'm never coming back to Premiere since in my line of work (3 to 5 reels per day for the clients) the editing software had to be lightning fast
I use capcut to make tiktok edits, it's much more capable than what you showed here, I'm slowly switching to AE tho which will help improve the videos a lot. I like that you mess around with the shortcuts, so definitely will start using some of those. Also; the pro features are everywhere now, so I have to screen record the edits when I'm done, and thats not ideal at all and one of the reasons I'm switching to AE (Cracked)
Given capcut is less than 10 bucks a month for all countries from what I remember... crazy value, especially when it comes to beginners or people who prefer having more clients with easier jobs rather than a few clients with huge harder jobs.
well... I made some of my edits capcut and... that's not bad, but when I started learning AE, I started to understand the editing process better, so now my edits look better even if I made them shorthanded
as an old capcut editor, i can say the experience is solid but since i am indian downloading effects are hard and if there are any good effects they are either paid or just gone. After effects on the other hand is more detailed and for simple things get more hard, but with its own benefits being better effects that need to be paid but no one literally does people crack after effects and use it on a daily basis.

as an old capcut editor, i can say the experience is solid but since i am indian downloading effects are hard and if there are any good effects they are either paid or just gone.
After effects on the other hand is more detailed and for simple things get more hard, but with its own benefits being better effects that need to be paid but no one literally does people crack after effects and use it on a daily basis.

In the Export window, there's a checkbox "Add video cover at the beginning" :)
