@@TheAikatsuFan actually, I often do this. E.g. you can cut a video without re-encoding it so it happens "immediately". Also rotation, playback speed and concatenating clips is kind of easy to do and much faster than messing with a full-blown video editor program.
      Here are some examples:
      Cut (without re-encoding): ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -ss 00:00:12 -to 00:02:30 -c copy output.mp4
      Rotate by 180°: ffmpeg -display_rotation 180 -i input.mp4 -codec copy output.mp4
Scale resolution of a video to 1920 pixels (keep aspect ratio): ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf "scale=1920:-2" output.mp4
      Fade first 5 seconds of a video: ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf "fade=t=in:st=0:d=5" out.mp4

I always used to use capcut because it gave me the ability to create professional looking videos without the boundaries of a professional type software (Like Adobe's subscription or Davinci's hard learning curve). I really do recommend it for any beginners looking to make professional looking videos. However, I have recently left Capcut, because it was about a 50% chance that mp4s would turn into mp3s and it would make the editing process like 4x longer.

and back then, capcut got a little bit of bug where when you speed up the video, the audio will go stay on original speed and go out of sync so you need to restart the app and it'll back to normal. oh and for some reason it sometime freezes on my pc for couple sec for no reason..

as an old capcut editor, i can say the experience is solid but since i am indian downloading effects are hard and if there are any good effects they are either paid or just gone.
After effects on the other hand is more detailed and for simple things get more hard, but with its own benefits being better effects that need to be paid but no one literally does people crack after effects and use it on a daily basis.

Looking at the comments i dont understand why people r saying that its the brainrot of the editing or that its bad for long videos. You can use it, make a 1 hour fully edited video with it and you'll be making a good video
For everyone using capcut: if you're good with it, keep usin it to its max potential

its not just that capcut is expensive but also you need good quality hardware such as a good gpu in order to use adobe after effects for example. whereas capcut you can just use on your phone even. if it was not for the hardware requirements in ae, i would personally be willing to pay the money
