I export videos and photos with different settings and post each of them, check each of them and keep the one that feels sharper, detailed and as original as possible and delete all the other ones. I used to think I'm a maniac but, now as I saw this video I think I'm not the only one of my kind 😂 I enjoyed the video a lot and thanks for the tips. I've actually done all those methods by the way. I also agree that decreasing file size has no effect on the quality. Atleast I didn't see.
I did my experiment too. The method you called ‘just send it!’ works best. Thank you for your work and for the truth. I found your channel when I was looking for videos on this topic and now I'm subscribing because my experience has shown me that you are worth trusting!
Whoa! I love the quality of your camera and positive energy. You got yourself a subscriber! Very curious how to shoot high quality photos and the technical stuff.

Heard about 1440x1800, anything about this ? Because when i upload to Instagram at 1080x1350 and then download with a chrome plugin it is still the same size. When I upload double double it is crushed at 1440x1800 and not 1080 when i download it. As I seen on other photographers Instagram when I download pictures it is 1440x1800. So maybe they upload at a bigger size or they upload it at 1440x1800 because Instagram does not seem crushing these to smaller size
Instragram a while ago started allowing 1440px width photos instead of the standard 1080px, I think due to the increasing usage of QHD 1440p screens on top smartphones. I used to upload at 1080x1350 for portait (4:5) photos (just like krispy kreme) but one day I forgot to scale one photo and it ended to be uploaded at 5000x4000 (the native resolution of my camera -> crop to 4:5). That photo ended to be at 1440x1800 despite the others being at 1080x1350. I upload from my phone and heard of that not all devices support 1440px upload (maybe the ones that have 1440p screens are supported? My phone has it, so idk)
I use the 1440x1800 method with 87 jpg quality as it is said to be almost as good as 100% Quality but produces a smaller file. Bicubic sharper on Photoshop jpg settings looks the best to me. Adding a bit of noise, to the final image used to help with banding but haven't tested it lately. Whatever the method Instagram will unfortunately remove some details 🤷
Hi Anthony. I use caput to create reels for instagram. When I upload to instagram, my cover photo always turns red. I watched this video and thought I might need to downsize the photo? I didn't really know what I was doing, but I resized it by emailing it to myself, and choosing medium (480 x 640). It still turned red. Any thoughts?
Is it normal if I don't put the stories in the highlights but then want to put them in the highlights after 1-2 months from the archive. They are then with very poor quality. can someone help me here
so, in resume, there is NO OPTION to get sharp clear images? i have been trying with some 3d still renders and every way i try there`s always a ugly compression in certain parts
Just send it! Yeahp thats my go to setting. Lmao, like none of my friends would zoom my photos to 300% and look at it as if their eyes are about to kiss their phones just so they can say oh this one is tack sharp. Hahaha... If you have your website then thats a different story.
I have the problem that if I export a picture at 100% quality and then upload it to instagram, it just won't allow it, it will always say that it couldn't be shared. I have to compress it to around 50%, which does quite some damage. Any ideas?
Are you aware of any way to just get LRC and additional cache (1TB)? They offer LR, alone , but you can't print from LR, which makes it useless to me. I am only asking because I gather you might know something more about the parameters of their platform. Thanks for your video!! I just posted my first wildlife pic and it looks like crap. I get better results for Lunar shots, don't know why...
Instagram or Facebook or Meta whatever they want to be called would not be anything without its users. I personally don’t give into algorithms and do what makes me happy and to my aesthetic. Otherwise Instagram will suffer the same fate as Facebook, its going to die eventually.
Can you give some recommendation for how to export for website upload? Obviously don't want it to be too big as it will struggle to load, and also people can save your image and have high quality image for free. Thoughts?
It's an absolutely different challenge: use next-gen formats where possible, different resolutions for Android/PC/Retina. The most popular CDNs can do this job in real time, for paid.
can you help me please, seriously i couldn't get the concept. what he was doing or what should we do for more tiny better quality ? Do we need to install/ purchase Adobe lightroom in our computer and taking photos with phone and send this photos to our computer and edit in lightroom and send them back to our phone and install them to instagram or skip last step and just install them through your computer to your instagram after edit them with Lightroom ???? IF yes I'm ok with to take pictures and run your instagram on phone and install them :))
hi idol i hope you notice me. I hope you will help me with the camera, even if it's not used at first. I want to be a photographer like you. Because I don't have a camera to buy. Because it's expensive.
What Method looked the best to you? I tested a few other settings that I didn't show, but these ones seemed to be the most popular!
So the moral of this story is that instagram completely sucks! Thanks for letting me know 😂!

I like the Krispy Kreme because it allows me to control the cropping of the photo to my liking, and get the fullest size photo on a phone screen.
Export using the option small 2048px option , it worked for me .
Would it work for digital arts?
conclusion: instagram sucks if you are an actual professional #boycott
You have definitely gained yourself a new subscriber 👏🏽👌❤
I need this information right now!! 🤟🤟
thank you for telling people that high quality button in instagram is the solution to better uploads! you gained a subscriber because I trust you lol!
I can't find that button doe
The opposite is the case
SuperUsefull! Thanks man!
Love your work sir! Can you do another one (Lightroom export settings) for Facebook. You are the only one i trust ! THank you sir !
what about manually sharpening your image pre post?
thank you for the video. one question tho, do any of these settings resize a vertical o horizontal image ? thanks in advance

Test upload from iOS av Android amd image Quality To Instagram..

Man why in carousel insta eats quality like crazy??? And with the same photo if uploaded solo it’s good?

I keep it simple and save time. Export at 100%
You could be right. Instagram is definitely not as popular as it used to be.

Method 1 is what Peter McKinnon uses, which he said in his recent video.
It's definitely the method to recommend!
so... WHAT is the best ppi and size ( px by px ) for insta post in PS
Been using Krispy Kreme since my phone is almost full 😂 but before I just send it as well.
Still applicable in 2024?
Everything works well untill i try to upload images with lots of red lights and some editing around them. I dont know why but Instagram hates red!
same for me with the reds😕
Ok.. I’m going with “just send it too”. 😂
I spent way too much time researching this…

So basically just dont do anything to it🙄
How do we achieve Method 1 on Lightroom on an iPhone?
Most saying if you use the adjustments editing settings directly in the app that should help? Saving as 72. From 300
You mean using the Instagram Filters?

what happens if you go higher then 1080 x 1350?

Yes. Max insta resolution is 4:5 1080x1350.
@@thebetergede But if the image much larger, would it not just crop it? From my experience, the quality reduces quite a lot.
