But I discovered a big problem, with this method the photo is published much worse quality than from a smartphone - the colors are dimmer and darker, the skin is gray. Try it yourself with one photo and compare. Sorry, very convenient, in fact.

@Gabriel Bianchi A photo taken with a DSLR and editing in LR and PS would still be a few MBs even after decreasing the resolution. And as you may have notices, most images on social media are like 150-200 Kb.
Instagram compresses your photos with it's algorithm. Decreasing the quality means you apply your own compression, which in this case is the jpeg compression. So there's less for Instagram to compress away now. And since you applied the compression yourself, you can anticipate it and make it look better before exporting it. Atleast that's my understanding of it.

Dark Mode is pretty common so the PS background isn't really as important as instagram's background changes depending on the phone's mode. I think your curve adjustment would have improved the image on a dark background too.

I faced the same problem.. actually maybe your monitor has less resolution than your phone...Now either buy a 1080p monitor or do one thing (if thats the case, like mine) download an app named "PC Remote" of Monect from play store in your phone and its receiver software in your laptop. With this software you can see your deaktop in your phone and also vice versa. Now whenever you edit your photo, connect the phone to you computer and see in your phone for saturations and colour(may seem dull in monitor, but good in phone which is the actual quality).. My problem was solved like that and the app is free.. so didn't need to buy a new monitor.. lol
Why do you reduce the quality of the image? I'm sure it has something to do with image compression but could you elaborate on how reducing the quality of the image helps? Does IG not compress the image if the quality is initially of lower quality?
my guess is either lowering the quality of the image can reduce file size which helps compression, and/or lowering the quality can just stop the compression from being too harsh

both ways compress my image insanely. im having a hard time. its 1080x1080, ive tried between 60-100% quality, the file is only between 100-200kbs and it looks good, but its awful once its posted.

Agree on this! Uploading via Chrome causes a slight more compression than uploading from a mobile device.
