Ahahh..that hold shift key teknik was the one im looking for during these past couple of years😂..i always undo my selextion to restart all over again my selection😢..thank u😊
I have no idea how you figure out such detailed levels of adjustment; it boggles my mind. Surely you just live, eat, and breath Photoshop. Your tips have helped me so many times over the years with this complicated, but powerful piece of software. Thanks!
This one totally blew my mind. I've been using Photoshop for nearly 30 years now, have extensive experience, and have even taught it at the college level. And yet Unmesh frequently makes me feel like a noob. Genius.
I know my opinion is highly specific to my usage, but you're the greatest content creator out there. Informative, quick, articulate, professional, and super helpful. Thanks for all your tips!
Jack Sparrow Photoshop... that was hilarious... subscriber, i been seen your videos for years... i don't even have photo shop since CS4 or 5... but these tricks work in other platforms. great work as always your a Master at this.
What a great tutorial!,, Seriously... I've been around youtube design tuts for ages and this is the first time in a long time that I think I found a useful, simple and professional tutorial. Well done & Thank you.
I've been needing (procrastinating) to do this to a favorite outdoor family photo before enlarging to a canvas. Was just thinking about how to do it yesterday. Great timing for me that you just created this awesome video! Thank you!💖
Your videos are always amazing and insightful. This one though... this is just black magic! So much out of the box thinking and genius little tricks, love it!!!
Can’t wait to try this. I have a number of shots taken at an animal refuge where the cage isn’t quite blurred out and shows up like a shadow. I think the same principle will work.
Great video, Unmesh! Another shadow question for you. What would be your method for cutting out a product/object shot on white along with its shadow, resulting in a transparent PNG with a shadow that will work on any background? Bonus points if you have a good method for extracting the shadow from non-white or textured backgrounds as well! My current method uses an action I made the involves Select Subject to extract the image and then making a selection of the RGB channel to mask a black shadow fill layer, along with some levels adjustments on the shadow mask. But I wonder if there's any better way 🤔
You are freaking amazing! I had the honor of meeting you at Imaging last year in Nashville. What a great honor! Your videos are the best. And, yes, you are super handsome, too. :)
Blessed to have you as mentor. Pease let me know if we can increase the lightness of the shadow area and blur the edges and, in the end ,add colours from nearby area
Amazing video Indeed! Update Older Technicques with the Latest one very easily & Sharply. Using so many Technicques as faster as it's seems sometime difficult to remember all steps. You are Genius. Thanks for sharing these usful trics & tips. ❤❤❤
It seems after all that effort, we still see residue shadow near the right eye shadow down to the right ear direction. I think the day is coming whereby AI powered apps with similar photoshop editing ability would be able to do all this by a mere two steps method. You think so? However, if we have people like you in AI powered editing or developing app it would be phenomenon. One thing I must give credit to you, is your great charisma in giving tutorial in a pleasant and capturing attitude, a unique personality.
Eyes break we have the 15 minute rule at the VFX studio I used to work at, every 15 minutes look away at something 15 metres away, and count to 15 or count 15 things you can see, it helps train your eyes to rest a while.
"Happy Teacher's Day! 🌟 Though we’ve never met, your videos have been my greatest guide on this artistic journey. The way you teach has unlocked new creativity in me, and for that, I’m forever grateful. Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge with the world-it’s made a lasting impact on me as an artist. Wishing you a day filled with appreciation, just like the one I feel for you every time I pick up my tools.
Thank you for the video. You mentioned that you had previously did a similar video to this one, where you removed shadows using layer masks. As I'm using Elements 13, would you be so kind to share the link?
I find the contextual task bar distracting when it is floating over the image. But I find it works nicely for me when it is pinned over the toolbar at an empty area area (between "Select and Mask..." and "Share")

I've been looking at my phone since I wake up and suddenly this comment hits up🥲
Yes, and come back tomorrow to look at it, too. I'm almost never happy with my first edits when I look at it after a few days.
@DavidWilson_mfx same! Sometimes I come up with other editing options when I'm trying to go to sleep! 😂

Very informative video, I guess the right eye color only needs to be fixed so can look even better
