- Learn How to Easily Remove Extreme Highlights and Harsh Shadows from Portraits in Photoshop! Using several advanced filters and adjustments, in this tutorial, we will learn how to bring out the highlight and shadow details in portraits, and make the light look even and beautiful.
We will use filters like Camera Raw, along with the essential combination of Blend-If and Adjustment Layers like Curves. We will also learn an important technique to use the Patch Tool to recover highlight areas or hotspots. I hope this video helps you. Thank you so much for watching :)

I learned Photoshop in College back in 2001. It was version 6.0...I've used it for many years since and I gotta say I've learned more from this channel than all of my years combined! Unmesh does a fantastic job explaining everything clearly and covers so many topics and questions that designers may have. This was so timely. I just shot a 3pm outdoor wedding in harsh hot daylight that ate right through my shade and just was not happy with the deep shadow recovery I was getting with Lightroom alone.
