For highlights like this I use the brush in darken mode and sample colour as you do , works for me and is quick .

I always worked with the Density tool so far. And noticed it wasn't easy to achieve realistic results when removing hotspots or having a more homogeneous lighting on faces especially, as the colors became all washed out. Will try this trick, thanks !

This is a lot faster way to control the highlights. I will be using this method more often from now on

Most retouching tutorials are portrait oriented (this is where the money is). However, i could adapt this technique to photos of museum art, since they sometimes have hotspots in the corners and/or edges due to uneven lighting. Photography of objects (eg for sale on Ebay) using a flash (eg indoors) could also benefit from this, since they have uneven highlights.
In an ideal world, there would be a 1x AI model that automatic fixes this without manual area repiar; if the effects is too stong just lower layer opacity.

Sir how can you control the brush size so quickly and smoothly? is there any shortcut for that?

I'm changing the brush size on my Wacom tablet.
You can use keyboard shortcuts, bracket keys.

Also, on a Mac, you can press the Control and Option keys, then move the pen or mouse to the right or left to change the brush size. Dragging the pen or mouse up or down changes the brush hardness. I find this easier to do than using the bracket keys. Not sure how this works on a PC, but you can try it.

In Windows, we just press the Alt key. Dragging up/down changes the hardness/softness of the brush and laterally changes the diameter.

Are there other professional generative AI art programs like Photoshop that do not require paying licenses? And buy on physical disk?

LOL, Piximperfect just made this tutorial a week ago 😄 p.s. it's a bad idea to remove highlights, unless you want to make a rubber doll
