      i agree!!! i'm a long-time subscriber. i've learned so much from unmesh!
      years ago, i cleaned a private international school, and the head of the innovation center (computers & tech) randomly brought up his dilemma of needing to teach his students photoshop, but not knowing a good way, since he didn't use it himself. i enthusiastically shared the piximperfect channel and why unmesh was the best teacher on all of youtube. no doubt he's been recommending this channel to thousands of students every year since then!

    Awesome Method. If you want to get this effect and avoid hotspots straight out of camera, best to use a polarising filter when capturing your images. It really saves a lot of time.

    I've needed this video for years already! Thank you, I'll definitely implement it next time! Until now I've done healing brush/remove tool and then reducing opacity. Works pretty well but it could change the skin texture if there are a lot of highlights.

  • @chrishansen2586
    @chrishansen2586 Год назад +1

    Thx, this is brilliant, works fantastic! However there is always a little telltale sign that something is just a little wrong. I tried and tried, it looked fantastic, but it seems impossible to get the blend 100%, no matter what I did. Then I did everything you did, but carried on in camera raw.
    Using the new "point color" (btw what a tool!!!) in the color mixer, I matched the color in the original hotspots, and adjusted so i could blend to perfection even @ 400%. It's magic, nothing less !!!

    since i was never taught photoshop and had to figure out everything on my own, i would always create a duplicate layer, use the spot healing tools to get rid of all the white and match the color around it, then lower the opacity.
    i did somewhat recently see a tutorial using selective color, adjusting whites (i think), and then changing to relative or absolute (can't recall which one, whatever looks good), and then opacity changes if needed.
    will definitely try this method out and see if i like it.

    • @photopracticum
      @photopracticum Год назад

      I think the best way to learn is in context. I assume you are using Photoshop to edit your own images. In that case, keep shooting and editing your projects. Then when you find a problem you cannot solve, try to see if you can find a new solution in Photoshop. Photoshop is amazing and really interesting, but at the end of the day, it a tool to help you do the work.

      No! This is the reason why you still need Photoshop- because it has all these very advanced features and workflows. Lightroom is more suited to, for example, documentary photographers, who do not need to retouch or manipulate images heavily.
