In today's video I share my SECRET and the best export settings for high quality Instagram photos in 2023. I also share some tips to keep in mind when posting to avoid any compression or quality loss along the way. I truly think these are the best Lightroom export settings to get high quality instagram photos right now. This is what I've been using and I think my photos have been coming out so good!

does that mean for FB where it will compress down to 2048 on the long edge, you would export at 4096?

How about videos? I tend to get bad quality content even tho my format is JPEG and have already changed the setting on instagram. Have not tried the sharpening method so that’s nice.👌🏽🤙🏽
why do you upload from the phone instead of uploading from the PC in web mode? does this make a difference?

Hi, very interesting...but If the photo is loaded from the desktop does it lose quality? Furthermore, if instead of using Airdrop I share the folder with the iPhone, does any compression happen?

No it doesn't. Desktop is the best way to upload quality photos.
strangely, when i upload a photo that has a higher width than 1080, it is slightly blurrier than when the width is 1080 when zoomed in.
what do u put for max height for vertical photos? also, have u compared 72 dpi vs. 300 dpi?
ALWAYS on the internet 72 dpi. always. 300 is for printing
so exporting for say facebook to keep quality - go for 300ppi?@@brak1827

Yes!
is this better than just expoting at Quality 100, Leave Resize Alone, Resolution 300dpi, Sharpen Screen Standard ?
Out of all the settings I talked about resizing is the most important one and one that shouldn't be skipped. Posting a photo from any one of these newer cameras now a days the resolution is going to be too high and instagram will destroy it. Resize it like I did for the best results!
dpi is irrelevant. That is for printing. As Stefano says it's the 2160 number that is important.
Upload your photos through your PC and they will be crystal sharp.

do you think 2700 pixles is too high for Instagram ?
I mean if I thought it was too high I wouldn’t be recommending it. 2700 is what I‘ve been using it and it has been great!

I cannot post multiple photos(carousels) on IG, the app crashes when I'm at filter section before going to description and tagging. This issue has been going on for about 5 months and it happens on older and newer iPhones. Sucks
Really! I’m sure you’ve probably already done this but… have you updated Instagram or restarted your phone! I had an iPhone XR up until a couple months ago (somewhat old) and it was still working for carousels!
