Magnus Von Manthei I’m not 100 % sure but in the past H45 has been an Alabama Pocket Holster man & that’s what those look like. I have one myself and they do the job just fine.
I see your point about this gun being too big for a pocket gun. Why I like this gun is because I carry around a G17 all day on duty, so off duty I usually carry a G19 in an holster on my hip. But I like to carry often inside the waistband, which the G19 gets a little heavy and thick carrying IWB. So the thinner, lighter G43X is perfect for IWB carry, with 10+1 rounds vs. 6+1 if I went with the G43. So that's why I like it. Love your videos, keep it up.
bobbyfanman17 thanks for your feedback. Have you ever carried a G26 IWB? Curious how this firearm compares to the G43x as a shooter (muzzle flip + felt recoil) and from the standpoint of IWB comfort??
The 43x quickly became one of my favorite firearms for EDC. It is the most accurate gun in my collection next to my Beretta 92FS. I have never regretted purchasing the 43x. Great gun!
Thanks for reviewing the 43X. I've been an LEO for 23 years and a dept range officer for 17 years. I've carried quite a few different firearms over the years and carry both a G19 and a G43. I bought the 43X and it fits me very well and is now a belt gun for me. It's the perfect fit for me. I've always been partial to the 1911 and the 43X has a bit of a Glock x 1911 feel to it. 11 rounds along with either 1 or 2 spare mags on my belt suits me fine. I did put Glock night sights on mine (I have seen polymer front sights damaged on carry guns). So far I have 500 rounds thru mine with no issues (115,124,147). I don't expect everyone to like the 43X, but it's one heck of a compact pistol....... As always...great review.
The more I shot the G43x and the G48, the less I was inclined to be too critical of them. Regardless of whether they fit exactly what I want for myself, I just kept getting the feeling that these things would be very popular. Regardless of all the negatives I talked about, there's no way to ignore that both are handy little pistols that are not too heavy or two thick. And like all Glocks, they go bang every time.
@@hickok45Agree with your point. But your comment about 365 reliability is a concern. If reliability is in question with any firearm, DON’T CARRY IT. You’ve gotta have faith in your carry firearm! For me, the 365 grip is a dealbreaker, especially since it requires me to shift my grip for a clean mag drop.
One of the first handguns I've had the pleasure of shooting. Thin and light like the 43, but doesn't have the uncomfortably tiny grip. Still a tad snappy due to the light weight, but not at all unpleasant to shoot.
I see the 43X and the 48 as a more Ideal IWB carry gun because it is thinner yet it has a relatively full size length grip for a more positive grip when unholstering under stress. For people that are in a 10 round restricted state it is a less printing option to the G19 for concealment.
The 43x will function 100% with a 43 slide, barrel and guide rod/spring. Black cerokote would also make the slide black. Problem solved. I'm so sick of hearing people with thier "it's not black. I want it to be black." quible.
To me, that bright slide cheapens the appearance of the gun, kind of a bell and whistle effect. A glock should all be about business. Thanks for the vid Hickok, John.
as someone that likes to carry IWB because i dont like wearing a lot of warm clothes (and if I do, i remove my coat while indoors) i find the glock 43 a great iwb carry gun. now, im not 6’8, i am 5’8 with an above average build. I carried the 27 for some time IWB and it was too fat to have wedged inbetween my waist and pants. i can see this being a good IWB conceal carry for people that want more capacity and the reliability of the glock. the longer grip will print more easily under a tshirt, but that is up to you if you want more rounds. for me, i cant get to pocket carry until we venture into the realm of 380s which i dont really care for. a decent compromise between the 19 and 43.
@@cccjsw I find the 43 for versatile, as for as concealment goes... I'm in south florida so I think the 43 is a no brainer, summer clothes all year round. If I wanted more rounds I just add an extention which I can remove at any moment.
I'm in northern Wisconsin and you get me through the winter! I recently got into reloading last spring with the Redding T7 press and have been upping my long range game considerably! I recommend it for anybody like me. I'm disabled but still feel like I need to be out hiking in the mountains and shooting and hand loading kind of gives me a reason to keep going. Keep the videos coming, sir. They are quite the morale raisers for me. Thanks!
Don't forget conceal carry. Lots of us carry appendix or inside the belt on our hips. For those uses, double stacked pistols aren't as comfortable. The 43X looks like the perfect fit. 11 rounds, thin enough to be worn inside the belt and a grip long enough to get a good hold on it.
Before I bought my first carry gun I rented Glocks, Sigs, Springfields, Walthers, CZs, and M&Ps. Put as much ammo as I could afford through all of em for months...and nothing was unreliable. Brand really makes no difference when you’re talking about the top 5 or so. I just tell people to buy whatever they shoot the best...and I do not shoot Glocks well.
Pick you company of choice , then the model , then read the forums , all the mass produced polymer pistols have issues .. you shot a sample size of ONE , models that have been out for a few years have far less issues then the latest wonder gun
Have to agree. I can pick up other brands and shoot them better out of the box at least. All of the brands you mentioned are great guns though in my opinion.
Cole Byre funny thing was I was shooting my cz75 sp-01 tactical for 6 mo the and then I rented a glock 19 gen 5 and I shot it even better than any of my own guns. Idk if it was just a lucky day cuz I was destroying all the rentals that day. I felt like someone must have modified it or something like that. I never liked glocks till I shot that one. Now I don’t mind it. Kinda want one but I want a 1911 more.
I don't dislike Glock. They're okay. It's preference. However, for me, there are others I prefer over Glock. The G19 was my "go to" choice. I rented a Sig P320 compact . . bought it the same day. Been a Sig fan ever since. The CZ P10c is another I prefer. However . . I respect those who prefer Glock.
I ordered a Glock 43x with factory night sights, from Buds, 2 weeks ago, the Thursday, right before Christmas. It arrives at my local FFL, today, on the 2nd. I own several firearms and love almost all of them. I also own a lot of Glocks, and prefer them as my conceal and carry firearm over any other firearm. The department that I work for uses Glock 22’s, and seeing the durability and reliability of Glocks, is why I trust them. I bought a Sig Sauer P365, about 2 months ago. It was either in the end of October, or the beginning of November. Since owning it, I have had nothing but issues with it and don’t trust it. I originally bought my P365, for my wife to carry. She has really small hands and my firearms that I own that have double stack magazines feel very uncomfortable to her. So now, I will have her try the 43x out. If she likes it, then that will be her carry firearm. If not, then I’ll keep on looking for something for her. I will also have my daughter try it out too. If the 43x, also feels good in her hand, then I’ll buy her one as well. But, she won’t be able to carry it until she turns 21. With what Hickok, said about the 43x, being to big to carry as a pocket gun and it being a belt carry only firearm, I have to disagree with him. This is a great firearm for women. The thinner, single stack frame, make it easier for them to carry. It allows them to have a full grip, and allows them to carry at least 10 rounds and eventually, 15 rounds, when Shield Arms releases their S-15, 43x metal magazine. With the 43x, you also still get the long term Glock reliability and durability. But for women, they can conceal the firearm in a purse, ankle holster if they are wearing pants, inside the waste band either on the hip or appendix carry. In their vehicle, that may be a smaller vehicle and have very minimal storage etc.. Personally, I think Glock did an outstanding job on both the 43x, and 48. I cannot wait to get mine at then end of the day today, after I get off work. Then this weekend, assuming that the weather is nice, I will be taking my wife and daughter to the range and am going to start training them.
@@triptre3638 yes. Originally i swapped to their first gen aluminum mag catch. The aluminum one started wearing a bit much after a while and i replaced it with their current steel mag release and its been perfect.
@@1312020m I just bought a 48 and saw the s15 mags, do you absolutely need the new mag release? Ive heard with some mags they start to snag on the factory release
I love my glock 43x. This is my first handgun. Just started women basic training. People ask what are you shooting with, I said Glock 43x, and they say wow. Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it.
I think your thoughts are spot on with the 43x, I have many of the same findings with this gun. Thank you for a real and honest review and not just sugar coating everything because it’s a glock
I do not see how someone could DISLIKE this video? Unless that person goes around disliking gun channels in general; in which case they are wasting their own time.
193001 kiplssd I’m a confused person, I am a 1911 guy. Love them. Have the sig scorpion. Love to “bash” my buddy that carries a 21..... while I load the mags for my 19, 19x, and 43. Also I prefer apple products over android and Microsoft simple for the fact of their simplified UI. To me apple is to the tech world as glock is the gun world. (I would like to point out I’m not bashing you, your weapon of choice, or your tech of choice, just making a comment while I’m at work that shows there’s odd balls in every group lol.) P.S. I also liked the video and honestly considering getting the 43x as a back up carry to my 19x. (My 19 is my home/truck gun. Has a laser/light combo)
The shield arms mag is a game changer though. You have the same capacity as the G19 with a smaller frame. The 43X is the best one to carry IMO if you have the S15 mag from Shield Arms. HUGE difference.
As a “belt” gun, OWB, I’d agree with your observations. But (you knew there had to be a but), as an IWB or AIWB this gun rocks! That’s the niche this fits best.
Got mine Friday, didn’t intend on buying it when I walked into the store but loved how it felt in my hand. Put 500 various rounds thru it today, naturally flawless and will absolutely be my new carry gun. My 26,19, and 22 will be very upset.
The moment i got the chance to lay my hands on the G43x , i fell in love with it right away and its going to be my next purchase for my ccw. The Sig p365 is also a candidate but its just so way mighty expensive around here for me to consider. Thanks for this review sir
Just picked up my 43X today... at this point mags are hard to find... but in time... I'm sure I will score some! I'm a big-time Ruger fan... but I have a Glock 17 & 19 in the Burnt Bronze and now the 43x in the two-tone!
Just held a Glock 43X today. I think the rubberized Talon grip would be a great edition. My EDC is. Glock 26. I carry Appendix so the thinner G43X is looking good.
This is my everyday carry. Highly recommend this gun for personal protection, ease of use, and incredible comfort just sitting in your hand. I swapped out the mag to hold more ammo, but everything else is absolutely fantastic with this handgun.
My wife and I just got to shoot this tonight at the range. Aside from it being a little snappy, it was actually a fun shooter for sure. For someone who can’t see all the beauty of this firearm, my wife approved for the most part. She killed it st the range with a bit of coaching! Keep doing what you do and I’m so glad our opinions are equal of this firearm. Glock did a good job with it for sure!
Internet people claiming hickok45 is a Glock "fan(man)" haven't been paying attention. Among the many themes of Hickok's channel (safety, education, proper firearm handling, defending the 2nd Amendment, smoking pots and destroying garbage sodas 2 liters at a time) there has been a running theme of his quest for the best combination of small+light+capacity+reliability for a carry gun. His fandom of Glock comes from the fact that Glock has long been the best combination of small+light+capacity+reliability. The P365 has changed that (assuming they worked out the reliability part).
@@fuzzytraveler he gave an honest assessment of the new Glock. He even stated he thinks the Sig is a better carry option for him but he says that it's overall a good gun and that if you like it use it.
@@pandax75 I didn't say hicock is not objective or anything. Just says he IS a Glock fan. Nothing wrong with it. I like his videos and reviews, hence I'm here.
@@fuzzytraveler From what I've seen he isn't. He has his standards and Glocks meet a lot of them. Just because someone doesn't bad mouth Glocks does not make them a fan.
Just got my 43x yesterday. Loving it! Did notice the 'finger thing' after the 1st 40 rounds though. Not a deal breaker for me either. I love how it fits my hand. I'm a woman with larger than average 'woman hands' but certainly smaller than most 'man hands'. I simply love this gun.
Thank you for commenting! I keep having issues with staying on target and I believe it's because I have to creep around to pull the trigger; so I'm not gripping as well as I should. I fired a 43 and it was like magic and I honestly think it's because I can grip more properly. Do you have any other weapons that fit better in your hands? I need some more options
@@brandih4882 No, nothing that fits better. For me, the way my 43x fit my hand was the final selling point. I had watched several review videos & thought it was the one I wanted, but actually putting it in my hand was what removed any doubt. I still LOVE this weapon! In my experience, if you ask 100 people, you'll get at least 95 different answers. You have to go with what feels right to you, what fits, has the features you like, etc. We all know the top 'firearm rules', but the one everyone forgets is personal preference. My son doesn't really like my 43x. It doesn't fit his big ole man hands too well. My best suggestion would be simply to hold several & really pay attention to how they feel. This probably isn't much help, but I hope it is. You will preform better with what is truly comfortable. Good luck to you. Oh, & don't forget that you can almost always change the grips on what you already have. That may help, for a lot less money.
@@jackiewilson7069 thank you! I didn't realize I could change grips (currently have a SW9) but I already fired a 43 and that's probably what I'll be getting. Thank you for the helpful reply 👍
The explanation from the firearms judge himself delivered to us students as if he were an English teacher in the past that moonlighted as a part-time Sheriff's Deputy. An honest and objective opinion by an individual without an agenda. Absolutely amazing coming from someone who's an avid Glock aficionado. Summed up very simply... hater's are going to hate. Not even concerned with the proverbial fanboy battle, "this is a pocket gun and this is a belt gun". Carry the tool that you need... but make sure it's a hammer. And I don't even like people from Kentucky! Well, not exactly true... I'm just jealous of his range (edited in... and skills)
I've EDC'd a G19 for longer than I can remember. It's a great firearm and fantastic carry gun. I'm looking forward to adding the G48 (a/k/a Skinny Nineteen) to my carry rotation. It will be especially nice for the six months of summer we have here in Flyover Country.
I watch him because he's decidedly not one of those loud wannabe tacticool, know-it-all, "badasses" that seem to populate the gun video community. He's just a relaxed, knowledgeable, humorous man, with amazing aim sharing his passion with his viewers.
My uncle who’s retired Austin PD, swears by the 43X as a carry and I just bought mine today. I love that the slide is shorter and the grip is longer because I have huge hands. I’m very happy with it
Duluth Fire Hose Cargo Work Pants have big enough pockets to carry the Glock 43X. Having the longer grip also helps when drawing the gun from the pocket. At least that's the case for me and those Duluth pants. The smaller guns like a G26 or P365 are slightly harder to draw from the pocket.
@@hickok45 Yeah, I don't care too much for carrying in a cargo pocket though. I don't like the gun flopping around against the side of my knee. Those Duluth pants have large front pockets. That's what I carry in.
@Howard Luken LOL, Yeah right. I certainly don't work for them and I only buy them when they are on sale for $40 something with free shipping. I like them because they are durable and last a long time and the cargo pockets fit my other EDC gear really well and the back pockets are velcro closed and hold my backup ruger LCP really well. I've tried several different pants and they just work for me.
My 48 is easier to manage and therefore more accurate for me than my G43. My 48 has become my conceal carry. It feels similar to my 1911's. I'm sold on the 48! Also, I always change the connector to 3.5 without any spring changes. It makes it just right for me.
Greg, I agree that the G43x is not a pocket gun, and it will only get lost in the crowd of OWB guns. I carry a G27 with an extended grip IWB every day and will be running out to purchase the thin G43x with the larger capacity soon. I'm not sure what percentage of the 16 million plus CCW carriers carry in the pocket, but the vast majority carry IWB. That's a huge market being addressed by Glock. Surprised you didn't mention that. I'm a huge fan of yours and your reviews are the best! Keep America Great Greg!
I fought jumping on the Glock bandwagon for the longest time but once I started shooting them I fell in love with their "boring reliability". I now own several Glocks and I love all of them. The 43X and the G48 are pretty cool but I couldn't justify buying one just because if I'm going with something that size I'd want a "standard capacity", I think Glock was kinda going for markets in states that have magazine restrictions with these pistols 🤔☺
Just so grateful this channel is much more interesting than some of the guns shown, especially Glocks, yawn yawn yawn. More cold hard steel please Hickok.
I love hickok45 but this time I think he failed to consider the convenience of this gun for someone who wants to appendix carry and the fact that its slightly thicker than a G43. The comfort of nearly a full size gun but in a package that makes moving throughout your day and bending over much easier. Also, if you do appendix carry, you can carry a G43x with an extra mag in a slim and spread out holster by someone like tier1concealed and have more comfort than appendix carrying a G19 or an M&P9 2.0 Compact without an extra mag. So 16 vs 21 rounds with more comfort. Also, the Sig 365 feels like holding a 2X2, its some what square in grip shape. Yes the 365 is small, but I'd rather a gun that will comfortably shoot 21 rounds guaranteed vs uncomfortably might shoot 25. He is always honest in his opinion. Also, he does have big ol' hands and big ass pockets so it seems like his optimal carry set-up is different than people who prefer appendix rigs and/or can't fit a g43 in the pocket and still have a quick draw.
I love Hickok45, too, but you might be right. I never appendix carry, so I really did not think about that. You definitely want a short barrel and a thin pistol for that, and the grip length would not generally be a problem, I suppose. Just kidding, though, I DON'T really love Hickok; the guy's not playing with a full deck of cards. :-)
Then a P365 with 12 round mag which is still even shorter than the 10 round x you showed us in the video would be even better for appendix carry right? +2 more cap. I'm really glad to hear you've been happy with the P365 and looking around the Tube haven't really seen many complaints so it really is top of my list for pocket carry. My last pocket carry was a Kahr MK9 Elite and love the size and love the Kahr trigger and didn't mind the cap. But the Elite was SS so it was HEAVY! I want to pocket carry again so as soon as I can... P365.
@@donm527Yea its shorter, but you know the glock will work, also you get a full hand on the Glock. go hold and shoot both :) If nothing else, you get to shoot two guns!
I didn't know anything about the P365 or the 43x. I handled both of them yesterday, along with several other single stack pistols. The size to capacity of the P365 really stood out. Also had one of the nicest triggers. I'm also thinking that the P365 is the way to go.
Great review. You pointed out something I wish others would grasp, meaning there's no such thing the right gun for everyone, just the right gun for you. My first gun was a Glock 19, but I quickly realized it was too large for me to carry. It is now my home defense gun. Next I got a Taurus PT 709 Slim, but also found it to larger for me to carry. It became my vehicle gun and has been as reliable as my Glock 19, over 5,000 rounds without failure. However, I've now replaced it with the Glock 43X. Obviously it is reliable, but clearly more accurate than the 709. As for me, my EDC is the Taurus Spectrum, over 2,500 rounds without failure. Many would hate it, but for me, it is the right EDC. So my word to new shooters is find the right gun/guns for you. If it isn't right for you, you simply want practice or carry. Thanks for your wise review of the 43X.
Good video, I was considering the 43X or 48 but I love my 43 for pocket carry so I’ll just stick with it. I noticed your belt buckle, very good probability that my friend Russel Hen made it, he made thousands and sold them at gun shows and in gun magazines. He has since passed and is missed. I just recently moved back home to TN, go Vols
I'm a coach also, and I've seen some pretty unorthodox shooters, but if it's been in their family and it works and is safe, I let it slide. One thing I can't tollerate, is a shooter that takes all day to fire, especially at a trap range, but also at pistol matches, I'm talking about the untimed events of course.
@@1911meShoot Good thing I'm retired and don't have to worry about your opinion. And in my 27 years I have taught many novices who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn to be very competent shooters who are still out there protecting your streets. You're welcome.
@Man Plan so you're going to retrain Hickok45 on not putting his finger too far in? Or letting his pinky dangle? Or shooting a modified Weaver stance instead of the tacticool approved isoscilese? These things have really hurt his ability to shoot well and enjoy shooting. The arrogance of your post is troll worthy, so bravo.
Surprised at how Out of the Box Accurate" mine is. Great trigger too. Like it MORE that Sig's 365. The 2-Tone color kinda grows on ya. They DO now make a 43X ALL BLACK.
Just ordered one through the Blue Label Program because at that price I couldn’t say no. I carried an exposed hammer/decocker most of my career (post 1911) and that is what I am most comfortable with. Decocker popularity seems to be waning so I thought I better at least take a ride on the bandwagon. Thanks for the video and for giving up your time.
We got them in today at work. Its Glock's respoonse to the M&P Shield 2.0. Lol. It looks cool and actually feels really good in the hand. I havent shot one yet. But I definately liked it. Youve gotta see the 43X in person, pictures dont do it justice. And im not even a "glock guy".
you mention pocket carry and say its too big because of the longer grip. then you say its too small for side holster carry because you can carry something bigger. you failed to mention the true purpose of this gun.. single stack weapons or even single and a half lol is primarily for in the waistband conceal carry. for two reasons . 1. less printing. 2. comfort... anyways. to get 10+1 on a skinny almost single stack carry piece is amazing.. my g19 is bulky and prints easily. it also isnt super comfortable. i usually carry my springfield xds. but i want more capacity and this weapon is significantly more... im buying one in the next week or two. anyways. you are still the man and i watch all of your videos. just wanted to highlight that one flaw in your critique. have a great day good sir....
I just went from my g19 gen5 to the new G43x and I love it so much. I was having the same problems you were. With my 43x, i can actually carry 3 o'clock while sitting down and driving fairly comfortably. Best decision i've made when it comes to conceal carry.
You are going to need a pretty loose or thick shirt for this not to print. Once they get so big that you can't wear a good fitting T-shirt in summer, it's too big IMO. In winter, you may as well go with the 19. I think he is saying he has guns that do everything this gun is designed to do better. This is like a jack of all trades master of none sized gun. To each his own though. You are the carrier and your best self defender. You'll be first on scene...
@Josh Neff While driving, I hate even having my G42 on me. I put that in the console in a car or on the floor in work trucks. I don't feel like I could get it out fast enough with a seat belt on and all that. Plus, sometimes it pinches me.
@@MikeBrown-go1pc it's been a month since I've posted this comment and I immediately take my comment back. I now just have my Glock in a little cubby in my truck but I'm currently looking for a holster for it that I can put under my steering wheel.
I choose Glock because it “goes bang”-Carl from Tactical Rifleman! When you need “Glock reliability” why choose sig unreliability! Until Sig can compete with their reliability in a possible life or death situation it’s pointless to even consider it an option for that!
Great video, I just purchased my new Glock 43x and I love it! I have big hands like you and I always wanted a compact 9mm I could hold on to. Glock definitely knocked this one out of the park.
They come with two 10 round magazines. That's it. Yes it would be added value if it came with three. But this is a carry gun through and through. Most people don't concealed carry two spare mags on them. So imo you're not really gonna miss the extra mag practically speaking. Only monetarily.
I just purchased a 43x trump edition, love it. I will have to say my GX4xl Taurus is built a little better, full rail frame and the feel is a little better, but love them both.
I used to be a glock-hater.. But shot them really well. I have now a Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS. Looking for a Glock 26 Gen 5 MOS with threated barrel as we speak! :D They're really good guns, I must admit. And I used to say "no plastic guns in this household"!
Going to stick with my Glock43. Sig makes an awesome gun but I would wait another year to make sure they worked out the bugs. I trust in what Hickok45 says on his reviews.
I agree that the 43X is too big as a pocket pistol. And it doesn't really make sense as an OWB holster gun. But the real value of the 43X is that it's an excellent IWB appendix carry gun.
Just ordered the wife one! Love watching your videos! Before my dad passed he used to watch every single video you put out! I have learned so much about firearms and safety and I thank you for that. I know you might not see this but I just wanted to say
Finally getting my cc permit after putting it off for years.. Getting the 43x of 48 after getting a feel for them when i go back to the shop Wednesday to pick up my new shotgun. Thank you
This gun makes sense for people like me in states with magazine bans. I have a Glock 19 that I carry daily, but I can only have 10+1 and feels like a waste carrying the bigger gun when I can’t have the extra 5 rounds. The 19 is my all time favorite but the 43x seems more practical to carry for my situation.
The sig p 365 and the glock 43x are hands down, the most reliable carry guns on planet earth. And let me just add, the most reliable guns of any type, on planet earth.
I visited a gun store yesterday set on buying a CZ P-10M. The store reserved it for me. I am not a Glock fan, but when I compared the CZ to a Glock 43X the store clerk brought I was impressed. The 43X fit my hand and I loved the trigger. Sights of the CZ are better but the sights can be replaced. I purchased the 43X. The decision was purely subjective. The CZ P-10M may fit somebody's hand very well. I liked the long handle of the Glock.

Good point. Sometimes "thin" and light is just very welcome.
I was thinking the same thing. He jumped from pocket right to holster. IWB is where the 43x makes sense.
I carry iwb off duty. Been looking for a thin pistol and this appears to be perfect.
And Shield is making 15r mags for it already. The p365 and 365xl were just too thin for me but the 43x fits my hand very well.
bobbyfanman17 thanks for your feedback. Have you ever carried a G26 IWB? Curious how this firearm compares to the G43x as a shooter (muzzle flip + felt recoil) and from the standpoint of IWB comfort??

I used to carry the 43 when the 43x came out I was so excited. I love it. It shoots great holds more rounds, and I love having a bigger grip.

@@waholoopesorry74 the weight is more uncomfortable on a double stack no matter your shape
I would buy all of them!
43x with an s15 is my daily carry now for over a year. Best carry pistol ive ever owned, and a great compact way to have 15+1 on you.

@@brandih4882 No, nothing that fits better. For me, the way my 43x fit my hand was the final selling point. I had watched several review videos & thought it was the one I wanted, but actually putting it in my hand was what removed any doubt. I still LOVE this weapon!
Yep, with a large enough pocket, it opens up a lot of options. I've carried a Glock 19 before in a Cargo pocket or large vest pocket.
My 48 is easier to manage and therefore more accurate for me than my G43. My 48 has become my conceal carry. It feels similar to my 1911's. I'm sold on the 48! Also, I always change the connector to 3.5 without any spring changes. It makes it just right for me.
Greg,
I agree that the G43x is not a pocket gun, and it will only get lost in the crowd of OWB guns.
Held a 43x today, and it's been on my mind ever since. Might need to buy it.
Never fail to impress. Great shooting and commentary! Keep up the good work 👏
This man is the reason I bought my first Glock!
The Glock 43X is a great state compliant handgun. I live in a state where 10 rounds is the maximum magazine capacity
There's not one of yalls videos I've ever disliked. Even if I'm not a fan of the firearm, you're still very informative and entertaining
hickok45 Hahaha! You’re the man!

Carrying appendix is what changes the play for the 43x and 48.
Surprised at how Out of the Box Accurate" mine is. Great trigger too. Like it MORE that Sig's 365. The 2-Tone color kinda grows on ya. They DO now make a 43X ALL BLACK.
I'm currently shopping for a g43x and I wanted to see it perform. The first person that came to my mind was hickock45, and boy was I right.
I knew that 365 would be right up your alley! I'm holding out for the 509M.
I like the 509M, but it's a totally different animal from the P365. The P365 is much smaller.
The 48 was a pleasure to carry. I'm sure the 43x will be as well.
Back before the Ammolypse of 2020. Those bowls lookin full! Great Vid, got myself a black 43x. Love it!
There's no need for Innovation.Glock is already perfect😊
I don't know... I was a glock hater... But i like that 43x...
Am I confused about my identity now? Lol
you mention pocket carry and say its too big because of the longer grip. then you say its too small for side holster carry because you can carry something bigger. you failed to mention the true purpose of this gun.. single stack weapons or even single and a half lol is primarily for in the waistband conceal carry. for two reasons . 1. less printing. 2. comfort... anyways. to get 10+1 on a skinny almost single stack carry piece is amazing.. my g19 is bulky and prints easily. it also isnt super comfortable. i usually carry my springfield xds. but i want more capacity and this weapon is significantly more... im buying one in the next week or two. anyways. you are still the man and i watch all of your videos. just wanted to highlight that one flaw in your critique. have a great day good sir....
Exactly. I am considering this firearm for that reason. My G23 and G27 are alot more uncomfortable then my G43.
My good friend just recommended the Glock 43x to me for my first weapon. This video and the comments have me hooked. That you.
Love the range. Can’t buy a gun without listening to his input👍🏼
Great video, I just purchased my new Glock 43x and I love it! I have big hands like you and I always wanted a compact 9mm I could hold on to. Glock definitely knocked this one out of the park.
Thanks, you helped me make my decision to go buy the P365 for my carry gun.
Why dont they come with 3 mags like other Glock models?
Most glocks come with 2. The 34,35,40 long barrel come with 3 and the LEO versions come with 3
@@fujimi715 my g23 came with 3 mags
They come with two 10 round magazines. That's it. Yes it would be added value if it came with three.
But this is a carry gun through and through. Most people don't concealed carry two spare mags on them. So imo you're not really gonna miss the extra mag practically speaking. Only monetarily.
fujimi715 actually most glocks come with three... or at least used to in the recent past.
Gen 4 17 came with 2
I just purchased a 43x trump edition, love it.
They're really good guns, I must admit. And I used to say "no plastic guns in this household"!
My Lt. called them tactical tupperwear.
@@LoganVanders I really like that actually! :D
@@terrible2u Feel free to use that.
Just ordered one for the little boy in my basement
@@bloopy6166 the FBI wants to know your location
Finally getting my cc permit after putting it off for years.. Getting the 43x of 48 after getting a feel for them when i go back to the shop Wednesday to pick up my new shotgun. Thank you
This gun makes sense for people like me in states with magazine bans. I have a Glock 19 that I carry daily, but I can only have 10+1 and feels like a waste carrying the bigger gun when I can’t have the extra 5 rounds. The 19 is my all time favorite but the 43x seems more practical to carry for my situation.
What a badass Grandpa
The 43x and 48 should sell well in the states who restrict the second amendment and restrict magazine capacity to 10.
Why would that make a diff? They can just run 10-round mags.
good stuff
As always. Good to see fellow RUclips 2A members backing each other.
Trying to decide between a 43x and a dig p365. I’m a big guy and I can’t decide which is more reliable! Great channel btw👍🏾
@@WILDWESTGNG
I have both
And let me just say that they are both, hands down, the most reliable guns on planet earth.
The sig p 365 and the glock 43x are hands down, the most reliable carry guns on planet earth. And let me just add, the most reliable guns of any type, on planet earth.
@@WILDWESTGNG i can say the 365xl is a very solid choice also. I own the glock 48 the 365 and the 365xl and my edc is the 365xl.
