I actually bought a micro dagger. I prefer it over my 43x. It’s mostly a metal thing. I’m not a Glock fan. That’s mostly because so many Glock guys are so stupid about them. The it’s the best and only great gun stuff.. ugh I opted not to get dagger mags. Something about the metal and plastic. I had shield arms mags for the 43x anyhow. But would still go shield arms if I didn’t have them already.

I just got the G48 MOS last week. I hate the grip/recoil on this Glock more than any other. I have order several upgrades for this and once they all get in I will upgrade.

  • @Cucurú-c9v

That G48X just might make a nice duty and off duty gun. But a G43X would work better during hot months. But it's hard to beat a SIG P239 .357 SIG for concealment, and is allowed for a duty gun. One for duty, and another for backup. But they no longer produced. SIG is great, but fickle when it comes to keeping models available for very long. I just may have to switch Glock.

@@shuumai I have no idea how it might work. I know several shotguns come with multiple barrel sets. Of course that's with one serialized receiver which is the required part for a SN. My Beretta semi-auto shotguns only have a SN on the receiver that's recorded. The barrels are not serialized. My Beretta O/U shotgun barrels are hand fitted and have the same SN as the receiver. Glock chooses to serialize all 3 parts. I am not certain if the same SN could be used if the pieces are sold as a package deal. The frame is what is required to be serialized here. Maybe why they SN all 3 is because of requirements elsewhere.

Can’t say I notice a difference shooting the 43x or any other gun. When it’s fully loaded or the last few rounds. I don’t see the few extra rounds the 43x has. Making a difference in recoil. Now had you said the longer grip makes it easier to hold and manage recoil. I’d agree. Getting my pinky on the grip does help. Also talking about the other safeties. Doesn’t beat the argument of no frame safety. People who complain about no safety. No there are safeties. They want a frame mounted safety. I’d assume you should know that.

In this video she also mentioned the shield still magazines could fit in I met someone at a shooting range that did that they had to spend extra money to get some kind of adapter to go into the squat 48 the problem is you can't use the original magazines anymore you have to stay with the steel ones I think it's just the gimmick and a waste of time otherwise clock would have came out with a 15 shot I always found leaf well enough alone once you fool around replacing things with a Glock GLOCK won't cover the warranty anymore

Sorry to be an a-hole but I had a little bit of a hard time reading your comment. It's 'steel' not 'still' and 'leave' not 'leaf'. Also that's one hell of a run on sentence. Anyway I know I'm being a jerk but I had to stop and try to figure out what you were trying to say. Having said all that I am testing the Shield Arm magazines. When I first got them I started getting a lot of FTF's malfunctions but I noticed that was on the same box of ammo. I've since put a few hundred rounds through of other types of ammo without a single malfunction so far. Think I'm going to go to the range again here in a bit to test some more so I probably doomed myself.

Correct. The 320 had a drop discharge issue that was corrected and another issue with it going off un-commanded although there many different individual accounts that only maybe one was substantiated. Others have details that could lead one to believe they are negligent. However enough reports have caused entire departments to stop using them. The 365 series is perfectly safe though. I carry Macro appendix and super pleased with the thin profile and high capacity. Shoots pretty darned accurate and flat.

Take the 43x and put an extended rear sight in it and hang Streamlight TLR-6 light on the front for weight or a DPM recoil system on it and you’ll almost cancel the differences it has with the 48. If you own one of the 80% of accurately molded pistols you can switch to S15 15 round mags. Sadly about 20% of the 43x/48 pistols aren’t reliable with the S15s because the molded mag wells are slightly mis-shapened.

Depends on body shape and clothing choice. 19 is the obvious better “gun” but not for all situations. Not ideal for true concealed carry. The shield mag is also not a 100% reliable mag either, I don’t care what they say, so I stick with the 10 rounder and just carry the second In my pocket 😂. Or you could get a mag holster. I understand where you are coming from though. In the winter in NM I can get away with carrying a 19, even my 20 before. But in the summer when it’s just shorts and t shirt. Either48/43x

Not sure there is any huge advantage to that but I thought about trying it. Also I bought 3 Shield Arms magazines and their mag release. Initially I had a lot of failures - mostly all FTF's. However I noticed that was on the same box of ammo. I've since tried several other different types of ammo and haven't had a failure yet. Great informative video, but please please , the distracting background ( for lack of a better word) music , is not at all necessary.

I think the 43 Built diff the only Glock thas Built Perfectly the handle is not too small or fat, barrell is not long and ugly like 22lrs🤮🤢, its perfectly chubby and not too big its in the middle plus aims better and feels perfect in hands and recoil is perfect plus its still more aggressive than the 40 cal jus not 50 😢

I Love Glocks as well However I Hate the Stock Sights!! They are terrible! It’s a pain to buy a New Glock and have to spend an other 160-180 for Trijicons HD Night sights! Very important for a CC gun!!Also the Trijicons give you a longer sight radius..

What influenced the design of the 43x was Glock getting its ass chewed up by the M&P Shield, which came out 4 years before the G43, had greater capacity, and sold like hotcakes. Glock came in with the 43 and it was too little, too late. So, the 43x was born.

Hi, I have 2 glock 22 gen 3 I conceal carry IWB and are my home defense guns. I use 180 federal tactical law enforcement HST and 180 Speergolddot ammo as my primary. I switch it up. I've rented an AR-15 and shotgun at the range to try but didn't care to much for them. Is glock 22 .40S&W good enough for self defense and home defense? Do I need an AR-15?

The more weight in the magazine (more rounds) does not equal less recoil in a pistol. Recoil plus or minus is affected by barrel weight and length

The difference is the G48 makes no sense. Same capacity of a 43x but not as concealable. Same footprint as the 19 but with 5 less rounds.
Its a gun without an identity. It would make sense IF it weren't marketed as a gun for concealed carry. Its like they took the worst things about two different guns and combined them to make the G48

43x was created due to guys with large to extra large hands having issues with the 43. We can't drop a 43 mag without it hanging up on our palm. They took the 43 and gave it a a slimline version grip of the glock 19. The 48 is essentially a 43x with a glock 17 equivalent slide. At least that's how glock explained it to me.
