Any negative comments need to be ignored. There's very few workshops that would want to get involved in such a complicated heavy transmission such as this. A great job done by experienced hard working guys.
We sell ex CCCP heavy tanks, turreted/ tracked personell carriers, URAL 6x6 trucks gas turbine heli's HIND, MIG 23 Warbirds.
We service & repair / rebuild all types of transmissions and jet engines (Turmansky) and have a comprehensive machine shop.
These guys are working outside with only basic hand tools and little else. Just shows what can be achieved with teamwork and dedication..
Greetings from Russia (Girood Airfield Hangars)

This isnt some car auto transmission sensitive to a bit of lint from a cloth, it's a very heavy duty commercial trans subjected to a lot of abuse. It's the equivalent of the multi plate type we recondition in both tanks and tracked lo personell carriers.
The work these guys are doing is fine given the extreme nature of this type of transmission..

Like the “hand prints” on the cowshit fire cakes - to the guy who makes the welder to the crew that makes the truck frame rails out a sheet of flat stock, a straight edge, ruler and some chalk and then a monstrous press that they use as I would my car jack! Banging brittle gears against each other That is bad!!!. They wash bearings and don't remove them for inspection and replacement? Installing new bearing with a rusty heavy hammer? Using hammer and screw drivers to close the bolt locks and no pliers? Never replaced the satellite bearings, they use aftermarket parts on the clutch pistons..Originals are Teflon, the one they are installing are cast iron...old technology.
