loved the clean tapping section.
Best amp out there and a hell of a demo. Damn.
super sick demo. absolutely perfect amp for so many applications
Damn that guy can fkn play
Sammy is a fantastic player. Love his column on Guitar World!
That's my boy sammy 😍
Well, I already kind of felt like this amp was more than I deserved, skill-wise, but after seeing this video I really don’t feel like I’m doing it any justice. Man can this guy play guitar. The BE-50 is just out of this world too.
Great stuff, Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hot Damn! I have many other amps. I definitely need to have a Frideman to continue to KICK OUT THOSE JAMS! Great post!!
Wow...I'm almost embarrassed to say I play the same amp as Sammy there...I'm def NOT WORTHY!! Regardless, the BE-50 Deluxe is an AMAZING amp that works equally well in a live setting or a practice setting. Not many amps can truly boast that. It's not over the top "high gain" but, certainly has more than enough for just about any genre of music. The difference is...it's all USABLE gain. Doesn't get mushy or squashed out like most ultra-high gain amps do. And the way this amp is voiced, it sits in a mix perfectly. Cuts nicely and maintains tightness in the low end...just a wonderful amp. Highs can be tailored to exactly how you want them too. Effects loop is without equal. Clean channel is really really nice too. But, it's a CLEAN clean channel...can't really dial in any "grit" to it. But, can just use an OD pedal for that tone if needed. Btw, the clean channel is about the BEST pedal platform I've seen on an amp...Dave really "hit it out of the park" with this one!
I seen you have this amp! How is the lows and depth on this?
@@chasingtone5748 It has what I think is the perfect amount of "low end". It remains "tight" however, relative to the flubbiness you get from most modern amps...the Thump knob is very effective...especially at stage volume. Dave wasn't lying when he said you can literally tailor this amp to just about ANY tone you want...it'll do it all and do it WELL.
Thanks for the reply! I returned the amp. As you stated, it didn't have the gain that I hoped it would to pull off Whitesnake, Night Ranger etc on the 3rd channel for the leads without a boost.
Chasingtone no offense but, I’m shocked you say it didn’t have enough gain. I use it on the lowest gain structure setting, without the SAT switch engaged and the HBE channel just sings for leads! 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks, I play heavy 80's hair. And no offense at all. It just did't take it over the top to pull it off. Great for hard rock which I also play.
i thought that malmsteen is playing for a second. great amp & great guitar player! with no doubt, one of his influences is malmsteen :D
I have his amp and love it.
Sounds great! A good amp, does not need any treble booster in front of it.
Sammy Boller is a monster!!!
big time
DAMN SAM!
Was the gain structure switch in the “high” position for the BE and HBE demos?
The layout and feature are so similar to that of Bogner Ecstasy (3 channel, hotter channel shared eq, high end preamp adjustment, etc.). Both killer amps though.
Jim Yang having owned and gigged both...I'd take the Friedman BE-50. It's punchier and has almost a perfect "feel" to it under my fingers. Just my opinion...YMMV.
@@tomulator I guess the BE50 isn't as compressed as the 101b? I own a 101b and as much as I love the blue channel, I can feel how BE100 is more punchier and more raw sounding than 101b (Maybe that's the same for the BE50, too).
Jim Yang honestly...the BE-100 and the BE-50 Deluxe are two different amps. The BE-50 is a bit more “aggressive” overall in its voicing. Just seems a bit less “well mannered” than the BE-100. Both are fantastic though. The Bogners are great too...I’ve owned the first gen Ecstacy 101B...and an Ecstacy Classic. The Friedman is closer to the Classic in that it’s more “open” and less compressed. Although, you can def get the BE-50 to “saturate” if that’s your thing. It’s more of that old “Marshall” thing but much more refined in the high end and mids. LOVE the amp! Just played a gig on Friday night with it and man...the lead tones I was getting were so nice! Now...I just have to work on my lead PLAYING!
😎👍🏻
@@tomulator Good to know!
Clean channel demo obviously wasn’t a priority!! lol
Haha that's what i thought, but the clean channel sounds so good though!
How does everyone get so much gain on the BE and HBE channel? I bought one of these used from Guitar Center and it sounds muddy, flat and not much gain. The only way I can get close to this gain is to max out the gain on the HBE channel, master at eight and the effects return cranked. The switch in the back is on H and I need a SD-1 in front of the amp to get it to bite? I'm sure its user error, but gonna have to return it if I can't figure this out. Any advice would be really appreciated. I see people getting high gain with the master on 2...? how?

Don't you have any neck pickup Sammy?
What did he do to that les paul?
Wish I knew what the back settings on the amp were!
SAT switch was off. Gain switch was set to HIGH. Amp was in 25 watt mode.
My moth dropped when i heard the so called "middle gain" channel
I think too much effects kills the chime of that amp!
Can you apply this amp to anything else besides arpeggios
yes
Dave skipped the city of Philly because we no longer have any guitar stores.
Too much gain for me
he hesitates and is awkward no on can improvise, anymore
Maybe he was nervous. Not everyone is a public speaker, but he had the courage to stand up there because he believes in his product.
