awesome demo. Clarification for the Thump, Response and Presence...its like a Bass Middle Treble for your Output Tubes....very magical anyways lol
ChrisBarkerLeadGuitar I wouldn't call the Response knob a "middle" for the output section. It actually controls the amount of negative feedback and really affects the FEEL of the amp. For example, you can back it off and then bump the actual "Mid" control up to compensate...totally different FEEL than if you bump up the Response and back down the Mid control on the channel. Very cool feature of this amp!

GuitarzFromMarz Dave Friedman himself said that the BE 50 Deluxe is the best amp he has ever made. I would go with Dave’s opinion and get the BE 50 Deluxe.

Question...why do you have your channel masters up so high? Is there a sonic reason for doing so? And where was your effects return level set for this video? Were you on full power? What gain structure setting? SAT switch on? Great tone! Thx.

Noticed you had your channel masters for both the BE and HBE channels CRANKED for the intro song. HOW in the world could you even be in the room with that amp at those volumes??? Can you explain? I gig my BE-50 Deluxe and only keep my masters around 3-4 maybe.

Thanks for the review. I'm stuck between the 50 and 100. Basically down to the clean channels. Wish one had had that 50 betty clean without sacrificing the 100 plexi sound. Everything dirty is just awesome.
I say go 100 man. The 50 rules but the 100 deluxe has the Plexi channel

Does it have the deep bottom end like the BE100 does?
DividedByTime as it's a 50 watt amp, it will not have quite the "thump" and "grunt" of a 100 watt power section. However, it does not lack for useable "low end". Too much thumpiness quickly becomes a liability at "gig levels". How much do you really need?
It has a ton, yes. I like this amp more than the BE-100. Best I've owned. Been buying amps since 1986 and it's king in my book.
So I've only been playing guitar for about 3 months now would you recommend this for a beginner LOL

I love the BE amps but wish they made an even smaller 20 watt/5 watt version for under 2k. I don't need 50 watts for home, recording and small venues.

This amp has half power switch on the back if I'm not mistaken. 25 watts is a perfect amp power for my studio, idk about yours...
Fun demo. I know he said he prefers the Low Gain Structure mode the most, and wonder if that’s what was on during the demo. My BE-50 has more gain than what I heard on this demo.
Definitely had to be on the "low gain" gain structure setting...he didn't even talk about the SAT switch either...this amp is incredible!

Just gigged my BE-50 Deluxe twice this weekend...both outdoor gigs. I got more compliments on my tone than I ever have in my life!! I used the second highest gain structure setting and it was just great! 😎👍🏻

Robert I've been watching you for a long time I think you're an awesome guitar player and I love everything you do with Van Halen I've been watching about this information on this amplifier I am as well a Edward Van Halen fan since the beginning I love his brown sound and I'm kind of shocked that I've been looking for someone demoing this app to play some Van Halen on this so far I haven't found anybody that is playing any Van Halen songs and that's what would sell this amplifier more than anything I would think and I haven't found a video yet where no one plays any Van Halen to see how this amplifier sounds because I'm absolutely in the market now to buy an amp and that is the only issue I wish you would have put some Van Halen songs through this amp❤ 14:46

For me, easily the best demo of this amp!!! Would you say the BE50 is the best or one of the best multi-channel rock amps you've tried to date? Also any insight or have you tried the Bogner Helios Eclipse or the Mezzabarba M zero Overdrive??

Sorry it seems that this is your first time with the amp, and for this being a high gain amp your choice of guitar/s is really poor. If it were a JCM 800 unmodified you were right on.....?

Carey Lee curious...in your opinion, what exactly is this amp "missing"? I own one, have gigged it many times and consistently get great comments from almost everyone who hears it. I don't own a BE-100 but, own a Runt 50 and, while a very good amp, it is not as good as my BE-50 Deluxe.
@@tomulator Guaranteed dude has never played through either of them or any Friedman amp. It's not missing anything. Lol people are hilarious. They can say anything on the internet. This is Dave's most versatile amp and sounds huge.

Somebody who, like this guy, can actually play guitar please explain what the issues are that gibson's es-335's are zeroes, flunk outs, has beens, worthless relics, unplayable, fruit cake fodder. Is it that nobody can play them but everybody can play a LP, a Strat and a Tele. If you think about, possibly no other guitar other than maybe a LP has the mid-tone possibilities as good as an es-335. Is the Micky Mouse ears? Maybe the f-holes remind people of the word "music". Or could it be that John Mayer doesn't play one? Please explain.
