Same! I just installed a 4WP bumper on my bronco with a winch plate, and a winch, and the instruction said it requires two people. I can see why, because the entire combo has to be pre-assembled and installed onto the vehicle all at once. It probably weighs 130 pounds. However, you can do it with only one person if you have an engine hoist! 😎

Lol. It's cool to watch unboxing videos on products you're interested in buying. You get to see what it will be like when you get your own in the mail, if you end up buying it. I have made purchase decisions based off of unboxing videos because the person gives a first hand review of the product. Lots of times you have no idea how the product arrives in the mail. How much assembly or how difficult the assembly is. I now know how these lights come in the mail. Thanks for the vid

unboxing - its kinda like giving someone a present and watching them open it. I mean - you know what's in it, you wrapped it, but it still fun watching them go through the surprise and discovery of it. Not that I seek out unboxing vids, but they can be fun to watch. Love the KC's!

  • @Stoutlagger_TV

I enjoy watching unboxing videos because I'm the kind of person that opens boxes in the store to see what I'm getting before I buy it (even if the contents are listed on the box). That's a little difficult to pull off with products like this, so thank you for the unboxing video.
    Cool garage by the way.

Man, that shop is look snazzy now! One step closer to professional TV series, haha. As for the unboxing stuff, sometimes it's a vicarious thing. Even if people can't afford or don't need new goodies, there is still a little rush watching something unwrapped, like a Christmas gift or something. I only very briefly cover the actual unboxing though and just skip to what's under all the packaging, since slowly tearing into the box is really only for comedic effect.
As for the Pod Bar, Woah Mama, that is freakin' gorgeous. Looks awesome and really keeps the retro look with a modern touch. That warm color temperature is sweet, I love LEDs with a warm color too. Had to giggle with how high your headlights are aimed though, such is the life of a light bar. Carefully you don't bump the switch with your knees though. And wow, a working dash clock, you are one of few who can say that haha.
Nice work, this really adds some nice character to the Jeep, really feels like a mean MJ now.

Wow... I wish these were in my budget, but great job with two things - FIRST - love the mods to the mount - your fab work and great explanation helped me work through a few things I'm trying to sort out on my current build. SECOND - nice job on the business front with paying attention to brand adjacency - KC makes a solid product and reflects the integrity of your channel!! FINALLY, I love the updates to your shop, it is often neglected...then I skipped the unboxing portion of the video (I think you and I feel the same way about that kind of content!)

That is a sick build you have and you got the best lights ypu coukd ask for. Now, I feel like I should tell you this. Your headlights are pointed too high and your lightbar is pointed too low.
You effectively have 4 different heights for your front facing lights.
    1) bumper / down low
    2) grille/OEM headlights
    3) low windshield/A pilars
    4) top windshield/roof
    All of them have purposes
    1) fog lights
    2) driving lights
    3) Auxiliary lights for off road
    4) long throw lights for off road
And they should be pointed in certain ways.
    1) low, this is for close ilumination
    2) straight to the horizon and lower
    3) straight and lower
    4) straight to the horizon and maybe 1 or 2 degrees up.
That is because legally you can only use your lower lights (1 and 2) in the road. And the higher lights (3 and 4) are just for off road use.
Also, due to refraction, you should consider that the highest lights will blind you if there is heavy rain, fog, snow or dust. The same applies for the ones in the A pilars/hood and even the OEM highbeams (not in rain or snow, but tey to use them in fog or heavy dust).
And colour temperature goes the same way.
Leave the purest whites for the higher lights and the amber for the lowest lights. Pure white will travel the furthest away from you while Amber will reflect the less if there are particles in the air.

Unboxing videos became very popular, because you had people who couldn’t always afford to buy something new, but who doesn’t love opening something new, just received from brown Santa? So people just started watching other people do it, experiencing the thrill of opening, something brand new, vicariously through someone else, who actually had to pay for it.😆

Your thumb is healed ! That took a while. We used KC Hi-Lites back in the '60's. They are built very sturdy. Now there are all kinds of brands out there. Some have really innovative mounting ideas. We never liked the light bar on the roof area due to the illumination cast onto the hood area. These don't appear to be doing that too much but you will find out soon enough if you are in a dusty area or in the sand, all of those airborne particles will illuminate and make visibility difficult vs. front mounted lights. Real nice set of lights and mounts !

Unboxing videos, in my opinion, are meant for people that would like to see that specific product being unboxed by a youtuber and see the youtubers opinion on the ease or difficulty, from opening the product to actually using the product, and again their opinion on the use of the product itself.

8:20 through 10:20 I expected the 2 end lights on each end, to adjust to 45° each so you could have the very last one shining straight off the side.
But that would require additional/optional relocated mounting point(s) 2 lights in from end.
    Perhaps it'll happen in a future model . . . . nah.
Separate lights, for ditch lights, separate control

Unboxing videos are popular culture's dream marketing. Let me put it this way, EVERYTHING that has visual or literaturel content, makes the viewer or reader dream that she or he is a part of it. BleepinJeep is way out of tradition. I watch your videos in every possible opportunity, because you're living my dream and I admire you in so many ways. So keep up the good work.
On the other hand, unbox is all about wealth. An unboxing-videos-junkie just hopes that one day she or he will posses a lot of money and do their own unboxing. Human is simple sometimes.

lol, I get a lot of boxes... like multiple boxes a day. Are you saying I could grow my channel by opening them all on video?

BleepinJeep can you? Yes. Should you? No 😁 you'd have to build a target audience from scratch. So little of the existing BJ subscribers would put interest in that. But (technically and practically) you can make a living out of unboxing. Unbox Therapy was a huge RUclips channel with lots of subscribers ( I don't know if it's still intact though)

you should add a peace of flat pate or use a half tube above the lights in case you roll. to help protect them

I dont think any single tube would hold up in a rollover

I like unboxing videos cause it gives me an idea of what I'm thinking of buying and makes me figure out weather it's what I want/need or not

TIP: Make sure the antenna plug is not left out of side wall. My auto electrician did some work on my antenna and forgot to put that black rubber plug back in. I'm from Australia (right hand drive) and the drivers side carpet filled up with water after it rained the whole day.
