    Maddie today I am writing you a very detailed thank you, because to know the journey, then you know the level of where my thanks is coming. I have always kept in good shape by doing whatever workouts fit my lifestyle since my late teens: Gym memberships, TV workouts, Jane Fonda in the 80s to getting in shape after each of my 2 babies by whatever means, including using my baby in the workout. Going from 105lbs to 162lbs!!! Then back to 110lbs. Tons of running and cardio and diet didn't do it, but I was stunned to learn that by adding small weights the pounds melted away. I got in better post-baby body than I ever had before, including concave abs and losing the extra lower belly flab. In my late 30s to almost 50, Martial Arts gave me the most intense workouts and best shape I could have ever imagined! Then around 50 I couldn't stay with martial arts because of work. It was on and off. I Eventually became caregiver to a family member and the martials arts stopped. I tried running a mile at night and adding a quick bunch of P/T after. Then at age 54, stuck at home,...nothing but shoveling food and kicking myself for it. No time for me. I was back to 158lbs!!! All belly fat and I could feel the thighs touching and the muffin top and I looked pregnant! Friends asked if I was! I had huge arms. I had three bellies: Upper, middle, where the pants squeezed, then a lower flab like after childbirth! (which, by the way, ladies YOU CAN LOSE THE LOWER FLAP OF FLAB! I SWEAR IT IS POSSIBLE) I ended up with Kidney stones & shortness of breath. I did Keto but my will power died. During the Covid shutdown I discovered MADFIT!!!! Wow! yes! At first I couldn't tuck my knees to my chest because of all the fat. It physically hurt and I couldn't breathe. I huffed and puffed and I was astounded that only a few years ago I was tight and lean! This would have been a walk in the park, but instead I could barely finish each workout. But slowly, Maddie, since last year I had breakthrough after breakthrough. My thighs and arms started toning, The back above the bra flab is also slowly going away. In April of 2021 I was 147lbs. As of today, July 1, I am now between 132 and 135lbs. I know soon I will hit my 120s! I have no doubt that before end of summer I will be in the low 120s or teens. It is because I can work out in my livingroom with you Maddie! I don't have to drive somewhere. I can take care of my family member and still do customized workouts to suit my timeframe. Today it was ALMOST effortless...still sweating but I don't drop in the middle of abs or pushups anymore! Those half burpees, though..I gotta take a breath! I am in tears of joy. My clothes aren't so tight that I have to wear a big something over the top to cover it all. At work, I don't need to wear the cover-up jacket anymore. I barely have to suck it in. It just happens naturally. I'm getting tight and toned. That ginormous gut is shrinking. It was like a giant thing I was carrying around. And my heart was taking a beating. My appetite is way down. You are an angel. Many many many thanks. When I hit my 120s I will shoot you a quick note! THANK YOU MADDIE!!!!!!!!!! XOXO PS I am 57yrs old now. When that last bit of lower belly flab is gone, I will let you know too. Because it will be gone.

    I feel defeated. I’m gonna be honest being healthy has unhealthily consumed myself ever since I was 13 and over three years later I now find myself over the binging disorder, the bulimia, the anorexia and deffinetly healthy weight I still find myself beyond depressed. I workout four hours a week (four times a week) and I see nothing worth writing home about. I’ve been doing so for a while, a little more muscle mass but nothing crazy and it feel so defeated. This is me rambling but I just don’t know where I’m going wrong

      I know the feeling of getting no where.💕 Have you tried cardio? I know you probably have but sometimes shorter intense workouts are better than longer ones. I have just began cardio maybe like a 2 months ago and I don't want a scale but some of my clothes are definitely loser. Please do try to take care of yourself, you must be kind to yourself you are trying.💕💕

      Mental health has a big impact on our physical health, as I’m sure you know. Maybe you could try to encourage yourself mentally, and then the physical will fall more in-line. I know it may seem odd, but I actually started using the 12-step program from A.A. even though I don’t have any trouble with substance abuse. It helped me to learn how to communicate with others, even on difficult issues, and understand myself and my emotions. It may feel weird to ask a stranger on RUclips, but if you have questions, feel free to ask. 🙂💕 However you proceed, I hope you find true peace and joy.

      So I’m just another stranger giving advice here but I was you 5 years ago, and I want you to experience the changes I have in mentality and life-enjoyment. The foremost thing that really helped me out was becoming friends with a guy that had and have a positive outlook on life, a mentality of living life in the moment, making choices that are good long term - but having fun while doing it and appreciating the results when they come instead of being sad they aren’t there already. It might seem like a bad advice, “find a happy friend and don’t be sad now”, and trust me I know your problems, and they are deeper than what my “advice” suggests, but surrounding yourself with positivity is crucial and way easier when you find a person who already projects this, rather than beating yourself up because you don’t radiate it yourself. Eating disorders are emotional struggles where our logic can’t easily penetrate and make a change, so focusing on your emotions instead of logical thinking might bring you more results than you expect! Emotions are often thrown out as irrational, but the evolutionary basis for emotions are highly rational and using them to better your situation might just be the most logical solution right now.
      I wish you the best, you deserve better.

      Also, I want to add that my journey started with establishing a healthy relationship with food alone, I did not allow myself to do any straining physical exercise before I established a relationship with food where I did not punish myself or overly obsess. Only after that the exercise returned, under supervision of a personal trainer friend that kept me motivated as I struggled to gain physical strength. Progress in one field then became progress in the other. When I ate more, I gained more strength, and when I gained more strength I ate still more. I have had a few setbacks, as one must expect, but I tell you - the struggle is worth it. And focusing on getting a healthy relationship with food and exercise might be easier if you let yourself struggle through one at a time, then both. At least it was for me.

      Remember that health is not just physical, it's mental. Feed yourself as not just a body, but also in spirit. Find your balance queen 👑❤️ You got this. Ask yourself "What would make me happy now?" and do it. Your happiness is never wrong.

    I was doing only cardio workouts at the beginning of my loss journey, and yes, I did lose weight, but I didn’t look muscular, so once I started doing your arm leg and booty workouts I have seen such a difference and I am EXTREMELY confident in nyself

      Hi Brianna! I am a guy and did this session with my gf. I could manage only with 1 lb dumbbells and stopped after like 7 minutes mark as my arms just gave up 😟. Is it very poor? My gf did the entire session with 10 lbers.

    My arms are my WEAKEST point for me. I definitely don’t work them out enough whatsoever. Which is why I am bad shoulder injuries. But I love feeling the burn and being able to do upper body with my injuries. Thanks again, Maddie!

    Ohmygod, I miss working out, the last time I did was last wednesday and then I got sick, like reallyyyy sick. Always love maddie’s workouts, especially the arms!!! Nobody can compare to her arm and hiit workouts I SWEAR. Have this saved so when I get better, I’ll go do this with my fave 12 min hiit by maddie!

    Hi there, any advice for where to place the elbows during push-ups? I sometimes get a little pain on the inside of my right elbow, so I’m guessing that I must be doing it wrong. I know this is a 3-year-old post, but hopefully someone knowledgeable will see my comment anyway.     I love maddie! I am a runner that was trying to build muscle and i use some of her exercises at the gym and home (if I am in a crunch for time). But my running has never been better! Also, I love having the strength too! 😁🙂🏋️‍♀️🏃‍♀️

    Tried your exercise out. My son gave me some weights a year ago and they were just sitting there while I was contemplating getting fit without the action.     guys im trying fasting 16/8 and my last meal is about 5pm and my first is about 9-10am but sometimes im bloated i don’t think im gaining weight because im trying to lose weight and i feel bloated it’s so annoying and i also drink green tea and peppermint tea idk maybe it’s because of carbs but i don’t consume so much carbs :/ please if you know something about this lemme now:) thank you so much have a nice day

    Excuse my total ignorance in termonology but "set of 5 pound" means 5 pound each dumbell or 5 pound is the total weight of the set? Thank you very much

    What a great work-out. Push-ups scare me (since I just can't do them) but in combination with the child's pose, I really got in a flow :) Also liked the exercise where you turn the weights in a cirkel around your head :)

    The dumbbells you be using in your booty workouts videos can you recommend we’re to buy one online because I want to start using dumbbells for my booty workouts because I only Used resistance bands I never used dumbbells but I want to start but idk were to buy them online And can u tell me what weight I should start off with if I want to buy dumbbells for example 10 pounds or 15 and what’s the name or brand of the dumbbells you have in the videos
