ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Anyone upset about this re release is a toxic collector, not everyone can afford the build a figures. Good on Hasbro
Emil Mckay thank you!!!!!!! 🙏🏽
Emil Mckay facts bruh I couldn’t get the build a figure so this is definitely big win for me
I agree with this. I have the original Baf but never did I feel cheated. In fact the moment I laid eyes on it, I was like “Yes! Hasbro’s listening to us.” Now if we could figure out this nonsense with Red Hulk, we’d be golden(although I think part of that is on Target).
I agree with you. I think some of the upset comes from the fact that Eddie’s Venom was never this big. Mac Gargan’s Venom was infamous for being huge. So this version, while really cool, isn’t comic accurate.
I agree
The articulation segments set you apart from everyone else gives it that unique feel
As a kid I always wanted to be a collector. Unfortunately my parents weren't of too much money so that they could spend on action figures.
As I grew up and earned money, I bought some of the figures I really wanted as a kid, and watching your videos just make me happy. Thank you man
The best way to do it my dude, I used many opportunities myself to acquire the figures I wanted growing up
The Guy same here man. I started collecting figures I like as an adult. I’m at 43 figures and counting.
@@Kingofthenorf420 I’m at 18 legends, but if I were counting my wwe collection then it would be over 100 lol
Stop motion showing the articulation was top shelf idea man. Hope you use this in other future videos. As always , great review , informative and hilarious. " I am Groot." 😄
Gotta respectfully disagree. The amount of extra effort he has to put into isn't, I feel, as effective as his usual quick run down. It is so consise and informative that I'm pretty sure many of us have that standard rundown memorised enough to know immediately whats different. "Arms can come up that far rotate 360 bicep rotation double jointed elbows come up that far hinge at the wrist can crunch that far legs come out that far forward that far kick back that far thigh cut double jointed knees boot cut ankle rotation and you do have ankle pivot!"
I love this figure but would it kill them to throw in some kind of accessories. An alternate head a pair of fist hell I’ll take a pile of symbiotic goop just something to make it feel a little more unique
A grinning head and some alternate hands would've been nice IMO
I feel you, been trying to get that Red Hulk from Target. Same price and at least he comes with a extra set of hands
Or at least the Normal Eddie head from the venom from the previous Monster Venom wave.
Thing is same size and regular price, should have something extra for a "premium" figure
@@super9248 highly agree, would of liked a different head and a bit more goop
that articulation part was 1000% worth it 😂
I think the stop motion could be a little bit slower so we can process how the joints work easier, but otherwise it's a very cool and original idea!
It is similar to what counter656Toys does.
Sam I agree and maybe he could voice over it
He mentioned he only tried it because he’s reviewed the same mold before
Dogelman does it too
@Sam, Play the video with the speed of 0,75 instead of normal speed, et voila
I think the reason some reviewers compare size with unrelated figures is that the viewer might be new to the line and comparing to many different lines the viewer might already collect so the more different toy lines compared the more likely every viewer will have at least one figure from the other lines and will have a better chance of understanding the size difference.
chucker173 Really, the only comparison anyone needs is a pizza Spidey figure mold. Everyone has that body mold, in some sort of deco or another. For real, not necessary, but if you guys think that’s quality content maybe I should do endless size comparisons in my videos too. 😂
@@ShartimusPrime That seemed a little defensive, Shartimus. What would be a more reasonable reaction would be to do size comparisons to one "average" figure from a handful of popular lines with various figures. A bit like what you do, just less Marvel Legends and more, say Neca or some such. You have to remember that every video could be someone's very first time seeing your content, and that one video might be what gets them really into the wonderful hobby. So, the more wide-reaching your comparisons, the more likely you are to hit on something they might be familiar with. Also I don't have a Pizza Spider-Man mold figure. Tons of Hot Toys though, which you seldom seem to do size comparisons with. But that's okay.
@@ShartimusPrime cmon man. People have different ways of reveiwing figs, don't gotta shit on em. Its iust personal preference at the end of the day.
@@ShartimusPrime e.g why would someone need to see the icons venom compared to the baf? Comparing to other lines makes more sense than comparing to the same character in differnet scales. Plus it was pretty rude if you to mock the guys voice. Smh shartimus i expected better.
killzone 1401 Man, I really don’t care that much. The goal of the segment was to be funny. You guys in this thread suck the fun out of my video, I think you guys are dicks. Let’s just part ways, huh? Hugs all around, and good-bye with well wishes.
I do random figure comparisons and figure comparisons within the line because people request to see them and thank me for doing them.
I think the benefit of showing multiple size comparisons for figures even if they don't make "sense" is covering every body mold size as well as seeing how they scale between other lines. Think D_Amazing or Daredevil19, they've always shown how certain figures scale with other "unrelated" figures, but I love their reviews because they cover more bases for true sense of scale. Just a thought. Loved the stop motion articulation too!
Really, it’s a joke, it’s great that people do different stuff. But this was a trend that needed a little poking, so I had fun with it. Nothing truly wrong with lots of size comparisons. I get it, unlike so many got my joke. Smh 2020
@@ShartimusPrime right, I can't make any type of clean joke on social media anymore without getting bombarded by comments uh, I miss the simpler times lol, great review though shartimus keep up the awesome work
This figure not coming with sculpted nipple tendrils is a HUGE LETDOWN, but it's still a pretty rad figure as is.
Juan Sanchez stop it get some help
i don't think venom had nipples in the comics.... the nipple guy again!
@@toren2099 no he should get is big badass toys at big bad toy store dot com, click the link on the description below
What is it with you and nipples?
@@andytrevino4077 He's probably related to Joel Schumacher
Cant wait to get this figure!
Edit: love the new articulation segment, just a bit shakey!
I love the articulation segment. Definitely Great for molds you've already reviewed
The stopmotion articulation was cool but I feel like that took a long time to do. Maybe if the stopmotion was a bit slower we could see it even better too.
I can't wait to get mine. Be well everyone.
Go Cowboys!!! Lol
that lil dig at other reviewers wasn't needed my dude, i like those since i collect other lines and it helps me decide on figs from time to time on scale. just do your thing otherwise folks can comment on your stuff as well.
Stop being a crybaby. He was spot on with that.
When did this happen? I keep seeing comments on this yet I don’t see it..
Wait nvm I found it
Liked most of this video. Not the part where you crapped on other reviewers. I didn't like it when Dew Dog did it to you either.
That's a HUGE false equivalency.
I like when figures get compared with other brands
What's different between disappointing frustrating and issue?
I actually like seeing a figure's size comparison to other unrelated lines. So that's why other reviewers do it. People like seeing it.
Mr. William This! He’s just mad because these other channels affect his YT income.
@@JayL8899 Not mad at all. Ever hear "Imitation is the highest form of flattery." I watch all those guys for a reason, I like them!
Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes YES!!!!! The new articulation segment is amazing!!!!!!!!! Please keep doing this! I’ve never had a problem with the original articulation segments, but this is a nice way to spice things up a bit for ur channel, and kind of separate your channel from other reviewers! Love ya Shartimus keep up the good work!!!!!!
Love the new editing additions!!
Love the stop motion articulation segment. Please do that with figures that have been reused a lot like bucky cap and hyperion mold figs
nice man its been years since i saw a video from you, it brings me good memories. good to see! nice job with the stopmotion
What a great video ! I love the new stuff you are putting in your videos, especially the articulation segment in stop motion !
I like the new articulation segment!
Shartypants! This is hands down the best toy review video I've ever seen! I appreciate the hell out of all the extra work you put into it! I lost it at Venom party! Great job, man.
I honestly watch all reviews when it comes to characters I love, if someone does a review on one and another does a review on the same character....that’s just more to love and appreciate out of a review for the characters! Which makes me want to get the figure even more, or better yet... open it up and play around (I usually collect to leave in box) I know I’m a monster, but now I’ve come to terms with opening up and playing, because sooner or later they will rerelease a figure.
And shartimus sir, keep the stop motion, it was fun... but slowing it down a little gives us SLOW guys a chance to see it better. Keep up the wonderful work my dude
Yoooo Shart!!! I really love this style of your reviewing figures!! Really smooth and right to the point!! 😎👏
The new type of video editing is top notch😄😄😄😄😄!!!Gr8 Review!!!
Thank you Shartimus for that articulation segment.
Though you review some figures very late I desperately wait for your review. You are my favourite action figure reviewer and one of my favourite youtuber. I started reviewing my action figures in your style in my language(except stop motion). People call me small shartimus. Love from India.
Best video you’ve made in awhile man loved it 👍👍👍
Just found this channel. You are now my favourite channel 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The articulation bit is quite nice Shartimus! Keep up the good work 👌
Huge fan of the stop motion articulation overview. Would love to see this continue with future figure reviews 👍
Awesome idea with the stop motion articulation segment loved it! Keep doing it and I shall join your patreon sir!
The articulation segment is awesome.
Articulation segment was dope !!!
Love the articulation segment! Cool idea, nice and quick.
Bro, no man dont stop, the stop motion artculitation section its pure 🔥
Articulation is good for re-releases but for new figures its nice to see the old style
What a awesome week 🤣
Found Red Target Hulk and I'm ordering this Venom from GameStop
I dig the new articulation segment!
9:36
Mary Jane custom with Jessica Jones body and Black Widow vintage head?
Nice
Damn, didn't even notice, that does look nice
I think the articulation section is hella cool, reminds me of old school JobbyTheHong (which I know you know of his Shartimus) overall I love it man
I'm so glad about this re release, I wanted to collect most of the symbiotes and really didn't want to buy a lackluster Spider-ham to get this figure, so this makes me so happy.
I hope Hasbro make more marvel legends headsculpts for all figures with a special line that sells those heads each seperately
Who else is hoping To get the Tom Hardy Venom marvel legends figures line? I hope Hasbro will make it soon, the design of the symbiote is sick!!!
Actually that's a really cool idea for the articulation
I'm Actually ordering this figure very soon on Amazon, since I missed the monster venom, great review man, I've been watching your vids since I was a wee boi, thx for being an inspiration man
bro this video is soooooooo good bro, keep up the good work
As always great super entertaining review you're still the best
ngl I feel like this review is one of the best reviews on this channel
I like the idea of a stop motion articulation segment. Maybe for figures we have seen once before or a figure with a similar body mold to another fig.
I like the stop motion articulation. I love this figure! Great work again!
The new articulation segment was awesome!
Great review Shartimus! I just got my Monster Venom last week, I love it! If this is the way you will be covering articulation, I am going to miss you saying "aaaand beautiful ankle pivot"! Peace!!
Love the new articulation segment
I love the stop-motion articulation. 👍🏽 Its a more effective demonstration and I haven’t seen anyone do it that way before. But man that must take ages to do!
Intelligent Chimp Yeah, it took hella long.
Great review! I’ve owned some other venom figures and this is definitely my favorite, for now
I love the articulation segment
LOVEE this video man! The articulation stop motion is very very cool but it should be a little slower, please keep them coming! And the random comparisons lol! These little details really make this vid really fun to watch!
That stop motion for the articulation was awesome!
This was one of the most funny video man. Thank you!
I couldn't get the Gargan monster Venom so was real happy to see this release. Can't wait to get this and the red Hulk soon.
That stop motion articulation part was hella cool, also so true about other channels having 2 figures together that aren’t even in the same universe, so weird
Loved the articulation segment
love the stop motion articulation section. nice fun addition
Omg that stop motion was so cool n smooth. Awesome job man
Can't wait for the Eddie Brock Toxin repaint, but joking aside this will be my go to Venom figure
FYI: It's actually fun to mix characters from different series. Some collectors like to do crossovers and mash ups of characters from different universes with their figures. It would be boring to just compare them to figures that relate to that character
YounKnowJACK FYI: It’s a joke.
I obviously wouldn’t know hella people were doing this if I hadn’t already spent time watching. And I don’t waste time watching stuff I don’t want to watch. Dammit, joke ruined! You’re a ruiner, see? Immortalized in the comment section as “YouKnowJACK the Big-Time Ruiner.”
Lol! Come on guys, unclump your boxers and let’s try to have fun.
@@ShartimusPrime If by joke you mean spreading negativity, you are right.
Shart is right ,its just fun and jokes ,just gotta loosen up . Hes just trying too have fun while doing his thing
@@legendscollector2285 Does not sound like a joke. Sounds more like he is threatened by other people doing their thing.
Jimmy Conway Settle down, Jimmy. That’s not the case.
Heyyy, don't be hating 😠 on my man Jay Hernandez.. He makes awesome reviews!!!
Reptilian Richard Ramirez did he name drop him? It sound like he was throwing shade at daredevil19
@@joshuaorozco9705 I thought it was D amazing
Nothing aimed at one person, in our figure reviewing community, that shit has gone rampant!
@@ShartimusPrime I was totally only kidding shart! Keep up the excellent content my man - you'll forever be one of the best in my opinion! :)
The blue shadings look badASS
Hi Shartimus, loved the articulation motion review.
That stop motion was really cool! I know it is unrealistic to expect this for every review, but it will be nice to see on the occasion.
OMG the stop motion joint segment was awesome !
Love the stop motion articulation! Nice idea!!!
The arcticulation segment is brilliant!!
One of the best videos. Love it
seriously... everyone is going to love this stop motion articulation segment... I don't even think there is a debate about how awesome it was.... honestly there are enough reviewers out there doing the same 'articulation' video that it's always been a thing of mine to skip through anyway... the stop motion looks cool... as someone pointed out, throw in some type of music signalling that it's a different part of the video and it will be something people will demand.
Love this articulation bit
That stop motion articulation was cool man!
the animated series Venom highlights are like the old 3D glasses
Awesome articulation segment.
"And here he is next to the beast of the mesozoic velociraptor."
Alright I LOL'd at that one. 😅
One of the best venom figures I've seen from Hasbro yet. Looks great!
In my opinion the best Venom figure will always be the Marvel Select. It has the best body proportions, extra head (closed mouth, open mouth and a head transforming into Eddie Brock) and extra hands, nice paint and fits well with Marvel Legends. The only downside is the lack of range of motion in the legs. You will not regret this figure!
Great video.. loved the stop motion for the articulation
LOL, the figure comparison segment. And yes, the articulation dance segment was fantastic, but we need dance music next time please !
Sorry I'm a yr late but honestly this is the best Venom figure made. Before this my favorite version was the Toybiz one where it has the button on his back to move his tongue except mine didn't have the tongue. Well this version made me forgot about the old one. I feel this is the iconic version of Venom. It's the one I remember from the comic classic Venom: Lethal Protector.
the stop motion is great, but I really love the part when you say : "that beautiful ankle pivot!"
on the articulation segment.
Or better yet, make the stop motion + a voice over
I might pick this up. I'm still trying to get it to grow on me.
I think the stop-motion for the articulation segment is a cool idea, but it's too fast
Loved the stop motion articulation showcase
Loved the stop motion for the articulation! What flight stands do you use? They always seem to hold the larger figures well.
Holy shit do that more please that makes the figure look so cool with the stop motion
Articulation segments was great especially since you reviewed this body mold already.
Doesn't matter if he's a repaint. I have to have him. Great review as always, Shartimus.
Great figure!!!
What stand did you use for the final images?
I like the new articulation section 😂
I love the stop motion articulation
