Him and agent venom are on my grails list. A guy who had a shop near me as a kid had agent venom on the register. Always wanted one even before I knew who it was haha. Thought he was a custom painted swat figure 🤣

best Venom for me is the deluxe monster Venom but the Marvel Select Disney exclusive version is a good second to me but I am still waiting for Hasbro to release a comic Venom on the movie body

Hi David. I just want to say what a great job ur doing, I like how u don't just go over the figs and then its over. I like that u give us some information about the figure and its background and its relation to other characters in terms of their story and when the figure came out etc. Thanks dude great show and I don't even collect Legends.

The only Venom for me is still the mid-2000s Toybiz one from the Amazing Spider-Man Classic line. Just the right size, and can't beat articulated fingers so Venom can flip the bird.

Hopefully, hasbro gives us a more comic accurate head sculpt and paint deco to match and I think the movie venom could be the definitive comic venom. Maybe redo the weird toe and throw in some additional accessories or interchangeable head and we have a new deluxe figure.

So jealous of the that first Venom figure. The heads are fantastic. I have the 2nd one from the Monster Venom wave on my Symbiote shelf.

What are your thoughts on the Mafex Venom? I heard collectors have a love hate relationship with it.

same here, it looks too subdued for a venom figure. Are you confusing Mezco with Mafex though? I also have the Mezco Wolverine preordered. It's the one with soft goods and sentinel base.

It is, I used to have the KO with looked great.
Now all hasbro needs to do is to repaint that retro venom and make him have no red and blue highlights and also give us some new head sculpts you know the usual tongue in and out head but for the new heads having him the half Eddie Brock half venom head and also have a new Eddie Brock head that is not oversized like that monster venom wave one

Since you read more comic books than me. I have a question, if you can help answer. How did Spider-Girl (Anya Corazon) and Spider-Woman (Julia Carpenter) get their black suit? Did they’ve any connection or bonded with the alien symbiote? Just like Symbiote Spider-Man
Good question. Actually Spider Woman had that design before the Symbiote came along. At the time Peter assumed he was subconsciously thinking of it when he got the Symbiote and that’s why it took that design.

Venom has appeared smaller and more Spider-man sized when Gargain was the host during dark reign.
Yeah That was due to Norman giving him some sort of medicine that reduced the Symbiote.

I have kind of a controversial take on Venom. I don't hate him, I think he's a fine character, BUT I've always had two issues: 1. I think he's WAY overrated. DON'T HATE ME! Hah! Again that doesn't mean I think he's shyt, just overrated. 2. I think he UTTERLY oversaturates the market at times. But yes, I largely agree with your take. I tend to also mix and match parts between all the Venom releases and all the Carnage releases. I also like that we have options: Eddie head. Eddie head with the sort of goopy neck piece. The original "smile" head. The sharp teeth head. The sharp teeth with tongue head. Now one thing I've ALWAYS wondered? So when Venom eats people...like how does that work? Does that technically mean the body goes into the suit...and like a chomped up corpse is up against Eddie's body? You've gotta do a Carnage ML comparison now. =P
I always wondered that too! More specifically does the human body merge with the Symbiote or is the Symbiote just sitting on top because Venom bites and eats things that would never fit in Brocks mouth and often when the Symbiotes jaws are wide open you should technically be able to see Brocks head underneath. We deserve answers!

Well in spiderman 3 originally eddie was supposed to die after venom is stuck in that "pipe circle" after he turns into a bunch of tendrils eddie's skeleton just falls to the ground because venom consumed him

You know, there was one comic when venom was so huge and I think it was a Marvel + Venom vs Carnage comic (which is also probably the first time toxin appeared) I think he was really boosted there and you know venom can change his size so in my opinion it is a good representation and it certainly makes more sense to me big venom than a big sabretooth which I am waiting for on the body omega red by the way. And about this body I hope hasbro will give us repaint of retro venom which can represent the classic one with 2/3 new heads? Because I would like to see new McFarlane head without tongue and Mark Bagley head with tongue and Eddie Brock head. Fisted and opened hands and that's all this figure needs. But I wonder if it would be a good idea for hasbro to add blue shading to make it such a FULL BAGLEY that it would stand out from the rest, and so we already have 2 black venoms because the monster and the newest one with 2pack king in black (on which I can't wait ) so I won't have to complain that there is no black venom. If, of course, they only do it well, because in my opinion they are not doing well with this shading. But imagine a 2pack of retro venom rerelased and absolute carnage rerelased with more accessories and a more classic design that would be something EPIC !!!!!!!

Not all of us are in progress with what's going on in the king in black since it hasn't been released neither in paperbacks, or hardcovers.. I honestly came here for the figures and not to get details about the current events told in advance. Please, less spoilers about ongoing comic book stories. I am absolutely sure that you have read them all but you don't have to retell the stuff about the events

We still need an updated classic Venom cause these old molds are awful. A lazy work from Hasbro. And dude, the Venom from 2016 is NOT EVEN CLOSE to Mark Bagley’s art.
I don't think the old molds are awful but certainly an updated one would be hugely appreciated. A larger buck with butterfly joints would look the business.

Eddie brock/Venom is the mcfarlane one. Period. All the non-sense created after that (giant venom, agent venom, etc) does not exist in my timeline.
I can appreciate that. It's 100% the most iconic version although I do love the way the character has evolved. I mean you can only have that original version of Venom torturing Spider-Man for a limited time before you need to either kill him or evolve him. The character has had some rough moments no doubt over the last 30 years but the current run is absolutely superb. I hope the new creative team coming onboard can keep the standard high!

I haven't seen the video yet but I'm pretty sure I'll have the same opinion by the end, The movie venom is the best. Monster venom.. i think he is a great figure but me personally, i hate it. I hate pretty much everything about it other than its monster venom. The OG Marvel legends venom… same thing with monster venom except its a way worse figure…, not bad, but not good IMO. I really hope they take The movie venom body and make a classic comic venom. That would be amazing!
