as a favorite Symbiote.
And a Bagley Venom is an immediate purchase if you make it!
Very generous score, I'm kinda suprised. I wouldn't give this set anything higher than a 6.
Also, it's weird that Hasbro based these figures off their modern designs instead of the Mark Bagley/Ron Lim designs from the 90s. So now Agony and Riot look out of place next to the previous Scream, Lasher, and Phage figures. I guess I'll wait until they release the inevitable "Life Foundation 5-Pack" exclusive to Hasbro Pulse for the low price of $749.99, or whatever they'll be charging by then.

Even though he is new in the mythos for Venom but my favorite is Sleeper. He looks more alien, I love the colors of green and black, and his ability to produce various chemical compounds when he is fighting.
Outside from Venom himself, my favorite symbiote is Carnage. Toxin comes in third, though. He's pretty cool.
I think Riot's head is so big because they're thinking “Big monster man has big monster proportions!”. Oh well. Could definitely be smaller.

You know Anthony, I don't even think they needed a new sculpt for Riot. I think the Caliban body would've been a great choice for him. It's big, it's an easy repaint, and there's never been any other symbiotes on it.
They said they needed a body bigger than venom but chose one of the biggest 🤦🏿♂️ caliban would've been perfect 🤦🏿♂️ or at least AOA sabretooth.
It's crazy to me that nobody's done a mark bagley style venom. I haven't even found any custom heads sculpts done in his style. Its arguably his most iconic look.
Careful with this venom, the ab crunch (for two copies I've seen now) will actually scratch against the paint of the venom symbol at the bottom if you're not careful. Just a heads up for everyone!
Yup happened to mine. It was so wack. Doesnt help that they used that weird new paint they been using lately. Which is more fragile
I like when Hasbro straight up copies diamond select (the Eddie head).
Also I believe these multi packs are getting too pricey mostly under the excuse that riot is "deluxe" size
I wish they'd straight copy DS, but that probably requires skill Hasbro lacks.
They didn't even copy, the select venom came out like 10 years ago, and DS isn't the only company allowed to make that half-venom/half-eddie head.

Yes, I would absolutely buy a Bagley head. It's mind blowing that Hasbro hasn't done this yet, so it's up to people like you to pick up their slack if we ever hope to get one.
For me, I would’ve liked it if agony had this color scheme:
All the pink should’ve been that purple/magenta color the head is, and then the head should’ve been black, like you said. Then the rest should be a deep purple

The venom head looks directly based on the kotobukiya figure, even down to the tounge
I don't mind the monster venom mold, but if they wanna give us the Life Foundation, Agony is close enough but Riot is all wrong. Everyone is saying the Colossus/death head/AoA Sabertooth body and I have to agree. Plus if they had used the smaller body maybe we'd have gotten more bludgeoning accessories instead of the scythe. I think the Null Venom head looks better on this body. Bagley 90s or Larsen is my favorite spider man art.
Symbiote wise, it'd either be Carnage or Toxin (first toxin), I like symbiote that can make weapons but prefer Toxin's overall look.
Perhaps Riot should take over the role Venom originally had before becoming Anti Hero.
White with a pearl gloss in an ideal world but solid glossy white would be fine for me
Yeah it's the same for me. Venoms my all time favorite symbiote, but if I had to choose another, it's carnage for sure.
Venom is by far my preferred symbiote character, but I do love Carnage too. For me they're the only symbiote characters I care about, Toxin and Anti-Venom I have a passing familiarity with, but things like Knull and all the life foundation symbiotes do nothing for me.
I don't care for the Omega Red body on Venom, to me like a lot of Marvel Legends the shoulders look really weird, probably because Omega Red had those shoulder pads to compensate. For me the recent 2-pack Venom was the way to go, I just prefer the heads and general proportions.
Venom is definitely my favorite symbiote, but honestly Carnage would be my next favorite, especially with Ben Reilly.

Hey man all I know is those custom venom feet are perfect! I put the head of this venom figure on the knull two pack venom and it makes it look cooler to me! Also you should definitely make a new venom head because the feet were great already!

I ordered two sets from Amazon, so I could piece together a good one and return the other. I had scuffs and/or scratches on 1 riot eye, 1 agony upper body and jacked paint on the arms, white eye on both venom/brock heads and 1 of the venom tongue heads.
I'm ok with the set, but I've either been getting really unlucky or hasbro's QC has gotten even worse since switching to these virtue signal packages.
Best symbiote is the one from Spiderman 3 that managed to make Peter Parker become the biggest tool ever (I just pretend that wasn't venom).

Question of the day: I definitely favor Carnage, Lasher and Phage were easily my favorite back then if I had to choose any but Venom. There’s so many of them though, so this changes for me tons.
You should definitely make some Bagley heads for Venom, I know you aren’t asking but I would absolutely buy a head for Riot if that somehow came down to plenty of people actually wanting one 😂.

I think a Bagley venom head would be awesome. If i could put that on this venom figure, I might actually buy the 3 pack. Also, while I prefer Venom, if I had to pick a favorite symbiote besides him, I would say either Carnage or Anti-Venom. Obviously, Carnage is better than AV being a real character and a real symbiote. But I also think that AV looks cool.

I am overall happy with this set, and I collect most symbiote characters so glad to finally have Riot in my collection. Should have happened sooner, and the reuse of Monster Venom is not a shock. They could have done a lot better, but I'll take it over the Toy Biz version, which looked like something out of a David Cronenberg movie. Agony could have been painted better, but I will admit, I like the pink because it helps her stand out in my symbiote collection since most are either black or red.

My favorite Symbiote... besides Venom... Lasher. I know he is another conflicted character like Eddie Brock, and his colors are cool.

I've never liked the monster venom mold, I don't think it's enough of a size difference to warrant proportions being that wonky. My favorite symbiote other than venom is either anti venom or carnage, but venom will always be number 1. Thanks for the video Anthony

Never read the comics but loved the old toybiz riot and wish this looked like that.
Would LOVE a Bagley head for this figure. Tried swapping the earlier version from the Absorbing Man and movie waves, and, they're ok, but a tad too small for this body.
In terms of design my favorite symbiote is Dark carnage followed by toxin with the red upper half and black legs. And then anti venom.

Favorite symbiote is Carnage. Being Venom on crack and that awesome Maximum Carnage SNES game (Based on a subpar comic) cemented him as my favorite of the symbiotes.

Great review, I do think you were a bit generous in the final rating. I was expecting a 7 tops. Maybe even a 6. As usual Hasbro could have done better, especially given the price point. Might be my favorite Marvel legends Venom though.

Do you know when you will be shipping out the venom feet? I ordered as soon as the video came out. I cant remember if you said when they would ship out tho.
I've been shipping and production since the sale ended. There were hundreds of orders as soon as the video went live.
1) Other than Venom, Carnage for obvious reasons
2) Yeah we NEED good venom heads. One smiling and one open.
3) I preffer white too. For me, it looks better and it's easier to fix if the paint is scratched.
We reached a point where even the "good" MLs are overpriced and not worth getting full price. All the ones i've been getting were very discounted. That's what everyone should do, not pay everything and wait for discounts.
How do you feel about the shape of the chest luck on venom. I think since they were trying to avoid the butterfly joints it came out too M shaped and really throws the figure off to me. Idk I thought this would be the best venom and I know I'm in the minority but I really prefer the knull one and will even moreso when I get your feet. Something has just off about this and I don't think it's just the head
I don't think hasbro has done a good venom logo. The old toybiz one was decent
Was your Agony head not super tight? I had to get a second set. On the first one, her head was extremely difficult to pop on. As soon as I started turning her head for posing, the hinge portion of the ball peg sheared and fell apart.
Amazon replaced the set and the second one wasn't as tight but also wasn't an easy fit, and I tried turning her head cautiously... It didn't want to move so I'm just leaving it alone for now.

Hello for my agony I aimed her head fully down to turn her head and after a few days it turned without aiming it down

Do smaller hands work on this Venom? I noticed in the comparison pictures that the grabby hands of this one are H-U-G-E [maybe not as big as Monster Venom's, but] compared to the "Hyperion" mold and "King in Black" versions.
They maybe could have used the hair from the Walgreen's Medusa figure for Agony's hair?

Wave. And this venom head more looks like movie venom. Seeing they were on a repaint kick why not use the same headsculpt from the animated series Comic-Con and just don’t add the cell shading!? Another swing and a miss. The venom heads from the knull pack work well enough though on this body.
