Pentax 50mm 1.7
argus c3 50mm, its even cheaper, can be found for less than 10 bucks with a whole film camera attached to it still! I shot my most recent video exclusivly on it.

Don't understand the reference.
I have it. I also have the new Sony 50mm 1.8 FE and the Sony 24-70 2.8 GM II. At 2.8 you can barely see a difference, just a little less contrast in the Minolta. At F8 the 3 are the same, the only difference is the bokeh balls of the Minolta are more geometrical. Please don't buy lenses thinking that you will get a cinematic look. It's a lie. I tested the 3 in the same conditions, they look the same.
Would like to see the comparisons. Do you have a link somewhere?
The bokeh quality, the flares, the sunbursts on this lens just hit differently and I like it in my opinion.
Downvote just for the photoshoped thumbnail image to look like a different kind of lens.
