The person who is responsible for the design of this zone is my lifelong Nemesis. I will have nightmares for a very long time so thank you for that.
Anyway, I edit out most of the pain so my viewers are left with a (relatively) easy to follow step-by-step guide to collecting the remaining treasures of the Great Crystal. As always for this place, there is no map, so follow my instructions carefully.
Once you are at the blue save crystal you are able to farm for Gendarme (the games's ultimate shield). Check out my previous video for help on how to do that:

Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

Ok If you're stuck at Virgo II: from the Virgo II gate being behind you go -
right,
left ( libra platform),
left (XVI platform),
right,
only path,
left (capricorn platform).
Hit Cap and back track to XVI which is back out the way you came,
right
only path,
straight.
Open C1. Hit Virgo and go
Right (XVI platform),
Right (libra platform),
right,
it'll be the gate on your left.

Jean-Baptiste Calmont You might have to back track from that gate. That's what I did, using this comment, because my Virgo gate was locked.

thank you so much i’m just now playing zodiac age and this was so helpful, i did all of this on ps2 as a teenager with memory and me making great notes and maps myself in a notebook. i literally had multiple pages of all of the gates and passages. i seriously can’t believe my brother and i 100% this game when we were 16 with no internet or smart phones only a ps2. i love all of your videos though keep it up
That yagu darkblade was not there apparently has a 25% spawn rate ..

I played this game years ago on ps2 and spent hours and hours of rage in this dungeon, without being able to complete it. and now, playing zodiac age remake on my Playstation 5, your video guide simply saved my life, as even with some maps of the area, it was extremely difficult to find the right combination of directions and gates. My friend, if I could like your video 100 times, I would. I have no idea how difficult it must have been for you to record this, so here is my most sincere thanks, and my total admiration and gratitude. you made my gameplay and of so many other fans of this beautiful game a LOT easier. hugs!

thank you SO MUCH for this guide ! I was stressing so hard about how to get Hastega (I legit thought I had to activate multiple gate stones at the same time ^^") and now I finally have all the spells !
The fact that you begin this video with a sigh is all that anyone ever needs to know about this area hahaha. That was certainly 3-4 hours of my life I wish I could have back (decided to do it all while I was down there - Ultima, Gendarme, and this guide to getting all the magic) and without you, I'd be lost, literally, in the great crystal forever. Thank you so, so much.
Note to others - you definitely want to follow the Ultima video first, even if you're not going to fight the Esper yet!
Edit: Found my way out of the Great Crystal after all. I thought I was locked in there behind green barriers forever. So the raging was premature, though I'm still frustrated by the experience.
Without a representation of the map I remember spending 2 hours in the crystal, gained over 30 levels, massive amounts of loot, and the absolute fear of games that don't autosave.

Yes that Virgo gate was closed for me
I saw someone liked my post, so I did actually figure out how to go around that gate and still get my items, the other gate was open for me, so I had to go around, every time he mentions that gate, I had to visualize my route around, hope that helps, I'm on my phone and I'll try to explain it in detail later
There is a comment further down that shows instructions on how to get the gate open from the place the video discrepancy starts

I remember helping a French streamer out of the great crystal. Contrary to popular belief, I think this is one of the greatest dungeons in gaming history. It's twisting mazelike bowels are a huge metaphor for the incomprehensible nature of the Divine in ivalice. I remember fearing the great crystal as a kid, because I didn't have internet access so I couldn't find a map. I fondly remember wandering into the dark depth of the place and getting slain by an ash wyrm. But eventually I stumbled on Excalibur and was so happy. Nowadays I run around with berserker genji khumba vaan with bravery bubble and haste. All I have left to do is beat Omega.

Lol. I can see why this aggravated you. I was trying to follow you by voice and when you said go down this path and I look and you're heading up, confused me. This would have been impossible without this guide thank you so much for doing this. I just dont see why they made this maze so difficult to me it takes the fun out of it when i am confronted with something so difficult to figure out it becomes impossible for me. Without this guide i would have given up at this point.
A big thankyou mate for the vid on how to get through the dam crystal maze, id spent ages with a bit of paper drawing circles and noting down left right etc, nearly ended up pulling my hair out trying to map this place out to find all the goodies before admitting defeat grabbing a beer and searching for the answer on line.
May be worth noting that the Yagyu Darkblade is also a 10- 25% spawn rate i had to run in and out of the area a few times to get it.

This video looks helpful! I started my game over after getting to the 2nd ascend of Pharos last playthrough but I had vision problems ( a bleed from diabetes causing blindness temporarily) - While blind I used my voice to listen to / watch "Final Fantasy 12 Walkthrough with Commentary on RUclips" - which always seems to bring me to dansg08 but he does it as a first timer's playthrough. I honestly want a playthrough on RUclips where they are completionist so I cna see all the things I should get . My vision is for the most part back now and I started my game again - When I got Panelo, I got Blizzard from South Bank Village, and was going to get Poison but waited until after Barheim Passage as I was getting molested by the monsters with just Panelo at those levels. Now I have gone back and forth a few times between Raithwall's tomb and Rabinastre by foot and am at like level 22/23 for most of my party and about to go to Jahara soon. Some questions that I can probably investigate myself - Is this part of a series playthrough so I can follow from the beginning or are they just one-offs? I've seen the video about like finding certain spells before but it'd be nice to follow from the beginning.
Followed along with you and collected the treasures as you got them. For some reason the Yagu Darkblade wasn't there but I did already have one drop from a bomb. Cheers for saving me 4+ hours of hell haha

Thanks so much for this guide. Tip if you haven't beaten ultima yet you will get stuck at the Virgo date, which happened to me so bare that in mind if you're using this as a guide. Really great video and easily the best way to navigate the crystal I'd say
