- Time to harvest our Red Norland potatoes from the raised bed in Deep South Texas. These potatoes were planted in the middle of January. A little hiccup when the polar vortex blew through, but the final results are great.
Hi Larry well I love your garden and those potatoes looking forward to seeing the rest of your garden all right take care
Thank you. Onions may be next. 🤠
Larry i just wanted to bake some bread and I stumbled upon your channel and your about to hit 1Million congrats!!!!

Hey Larry, Pretty nice potatoes, they look cute in different sizes, and big volume 17 pounds, great job yeah !! when I was watching you harvesting, I feel happy and excited too^^, love your video, full of vivid!
Harvesting potatoes is fun. Doing it on camera is a little scary, lol. 🤠
Wow nice to see again your beautifull garden sir .i love to plant red potatoes or sweet potatoes everything i want to o watching here from saudi Arabia more.blessings
Nothing tastes better than a potato right out of the garden. Had 3 last week.
That is the reason to grow your own. Hard to compete with the price at the grocery store. 🤠
Looking good, Larry. Watching you harvest, I'm thinking of ways to cook them!!!
They go quickly! 🤠
Nice!
Thanks! 🤠
Great harvest ! Mines are already blooming and anxiously waiting to harvest I am in Mission 🌸
Good luck! 🤠
I wasn't able to get the Red Norland this year until way to late to plant in the south. I did get some I've never grown before, the Red LaSoda. I have a few Pontiac Reds, but they were planted late and may die from the heat before they produce.
You always have a good potato harvest.
Thank you and good luck on your potatoes this year! 🤠
That’s a very nice harvest.
Thank you. I was happy. 🤠
Nice potato harvest Larry !!!
Thank you. I am very happy with the harvest. 🤠
They look great
Thank you! 🤠
Looks amazing 😻
I'm from Kentucky I planted red norland reds march 24th 2021, 70 days in plants are dying back after 3 weeks after flowering. Done this in containers.
Good luck on your potatoes. 🤠
@@DeepSouthTexas so far I got 3 to 4 in potatoes. They are 3/4 of a inch from the surface as deep as 18 inches down.
@@DeepSouthTexas thank you I've already started harvesting radishes big ones to.
Nice job!
Thanks! 🤠
Nice harvest, Larry. Seventeen pounds is a great amount from that bed.
Rob
Thanks Rob. I was pretty happy. 🤠
That was pretty good considering the storm you had.
Thanks! 🤠
Things are looking good Larry, here in centex kinda behind on our garden and mourning loss of trees and bushes from polar vortex
Yes, a very bad start to the year. 🤠
How fun to be able to sit and harvest enjoying the sounds of birds in the background. I can't wait to retire and have time to relish in the moment. I have 3 buckets of organic potatoes chits growing. I'm starting small right now. We just built a standing garden bed around 3x6. I think it's too late to plant a bunch of common veggies? I'm in the SA area. Not sure as to what to do with the bed in May?
If you can find sweet potato slips it is not too late for them. Maybe watermelon as well. 🤠
i wonder if you get larger number planting closer to march, im putting in Feb10. So May? not too hot yet. i used alot of compost too, and have been using gypsum last year. Tex9a, Eastern Coast.
Good luck. I plant in January to get ahead of the heat. 🤠
How to get them to come back again ? Should I leave some in garden bed? I'm confused on how to make this potato come back year after year without planting.
These need to be planted each year. If. You leave some in the ground, they will grow, but it will not be likely the right time of year to get a harvest. If you save some you have harvested in a cool place till the next year, you can plant those. 🤠
