I put the my GT350R Logo on my truck too!!!!!! The dealership is like how did you do that!!!! lolol. I drilled a small hole in the pin, put a key ring through it and then some 550 cord . Easier to pull. I pulled the rear headrest up and out, then placed the loop around one of the rear head rest legs and replaced the head rest. The cord never falls behind the seat.
Duuuude. Great find. I had to pause and go check my truck. It’s rubbing in the same spot, but hasn’t rubbed through. 2020 with 42k. I’m gonna wrap with Tessa tape and sand the amp with 600 grit on the corner to make sure it’s smooth.
Don't forget to file down smooth the apparent sharp edge that caused the rub out to begin with from that module. I think this was a great video and look forward to seeing more just like it.
This just confirms the saying that all of this fancy electronic, etc."Bun warmer" add on equipment is just more shitz to turn into a problem down the road. And did I hear you comment that it Never functioned from day 1 for this one. Time is $$, Money for ARod, and time out of the owners' time bank.
It would be nice if ford engineers would take things like this into consideration, it may only happen to 1 out of 100 built, but they could have just as easily placed the module stationary next to the amp and been able to control the clearances a little better. I did car audio and accessories for the better part of 11 years and came across things like this allot during that time in all makes and models.
How many people look into why a fuse blew? Seen to many people just put a 20 or 25 in there. Unfortunately, your wire starts to become the fuse at some point. Great find! Love digging into electrical issues.
I have never seen someone get so lucky chasing down a short in a wiring harness on a vehicle. In my experience shorted wires are always found in the most difficult locations to get to.
Quality is job 1. C’mon Ford, you can do better! This isn’t the first harness chafing problem on these Super Duty trucks, either. Regardless, interesting video and nice fix.
I have a 2016 F350 SD 4dr Platinum and I am having a similar issue. On my pass. rear seat the high heated seat setting is not working. The low heated seat setting works, but not the high and both settings work for the driver rear seat. Any ideas on what could cause this? Thank you.
Figure out a Forescan fix of the no heated/ cooled seats with remote start? My 2021 doesn’t turn heated/cooled seats on remote start… dealer says no update available on my model year only 2022…. 😠
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod I know and the dealer said SM51714 does not apply to my model year truck even though I’m having the same problem. Heated/cooled seats. Do not work when I use my remote start until I get in the cab in touch start button. That’s why I asked if there was something that you could turn on in forescan that you may have discovered
i didntk now you worked at bill brown ford i am just up the street from there i live in livonia small world you also know a mutal friend rayman rays repairs
Do you know what could be the cause of the multi contour seats on my 22 F350 turning on. The passenger seat I will look over and it is moving and no one has sat in it and I haven’t turned it on. Dealer says there’s no fix for it, or not anything that they’re aware of.

A-Rod is a true Ford Truck detective. Culprit found and case closed. Great Job!

Good find. You have proved your ability to fault-find many times but it’s the observation that impresses.
Don’t you wish they all could be found that easy, Great catch!
Unbelievable ! If I have said it once I have said it a hundred times….Aaron is KING of all things Powerstroke ! YOU ARE THE MAN !

Awesome troubleshooting and repair Aaron!
You was in Ford Beast mode no pressure on problem you can do it 💪💪💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸📸📸😎
Wish all mechanics were like you!
That was a nice fix, padded tape covering too.
Great find, going to check mine this weekend
Great Reel from that catch! Sherlock Holmes type stuff. 🎉😂
Excelente diagnóstico y reparación. Desfija el cable y el uso de la termorretráctil fue definitivamente mejor que cortar y soldar los cables.
What a great find! And repair. These are the jobs that give that warm & fuzzy feelin.

Nobody has ever even sat in my rear seats I have no idea if mine even work.
SAME HERE 2017 KING RANCH AND NOBODY EVER SAT IN THE REAR SEAT, I WILL NOW GO CHECK IF THEY WORK
Top Notch Work! always a pleasure to watch.
Now take a hammer to the top of that amp and create a little more clearance 🤪 Now I need to go out and check mine, thanks PTT!

Good repair and great content.
Awesome job again bud… 👍🏼
Good catch
Ford biffed that one. Need an extra 1/4" of space in there. Could be a fire hazard - spark hit that seat-back material...
15:35 like A GM radio connector.2007 to 2013 The black one
Is that front camera integrated into the glass?
Nope, has a lil bracket that it sits in on the glass
My 2018 f150 Platinum’ backseat heat does not work. The lights work on the buttons. But the seat never gets warm.
Might be an element
I wonder how many folks watching this then went outside and checked their own truck to see if the wires were rubbing against the amp…
Haha more than u think. We get many emails
I did, and I added some tape! Ty Mr Boss-man!
Rear heated seats? It's like 100 degrees outside. That was a joke by the way
I really wish I could just shadow you for a day !

What kind of heat shrink do you use? Mine doesn't shrink that much!!
Ford ones

No I DO NOT work there. Yes Ray is great
Just replace the harness! You'll probably get back flagged for the wiring repair time anyway!
They can back flag my ASSSS!
You did a good job puttin a bandaid on the problem but didn't fix the problem. I would have taken a grinder to that amplifier so it didn't rub.,
Yea lets grind the amp elmer fudd
Can't admit when you are wrong. Got it.
Keep puttin on those bandaids Ahole@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod

We need to reprogram some modules in the truck
