- I bought a 2020 Ford F-350 Superduty to have a reliable tow rig, and it breaks down in the middle of a 20 hour trip, with my trailer, and race car, and all my belongings stranded. Ford wouldn't do anything to help us get home, store the trailer, etc. so we had to find another way.

Thank you all for the support. As I said before. Please refrain from leaving bad google reviews. The situation sucked. But the rest is done and dusted nothing can be done to change it. Now it’s just a matter of if ford honors the warranty on a part that’s known to fail… overall, It’s a lesson learned. I won’t make this mistake again of new car warranty nonsense. Regardless of how it all shakes out. I think it’s time to go back to the basics with a truck I can fix myself. Being a car guy and relying on warranty is a waste of time. It’s like having your hands tied behind your back. Also Chris’s Instagram is @chrisgrunst if you wanna give him a follow for being a legend!
Update: I got a call from the president of the dealership. He apologized very genuinely while taking fault for the situation. He actually watched the video instead of just responding out of anger. This could have gone a lot of other ways. But the way he approached it I respect. He’s a genuinely nice guy. And he’s really gone way above and beyond to make things right without me asking.
Update #2 it seems like it is covered and may be done as early as this weekend! So that’s good news atleast. I was worried it would be some backordered parts and take forever.
If only Toyota made full size diesel trucks lol
@@ecarrion40 I said I left at 4. And that I got there at 2. Broke down at 11. I didn’t expect him to drop anything. I just expected. Some bit of sympathy for the situation and some sort of willingness to help. There was none of that. But it is what it is.
Sounds just like a shit dealer most dealers rather it be coved under warranty so they can charge more and get paid commission off the work
Sell me the black 12 valve get you a nice loaded Cummins or duramax? I love your old truck I’d definitely keep it if I was you

He doesn't have that truck anymore so highly doubt he would be back to it.

I was a service manager for over 20 years. It would have meant nothing to me to find a spot for your trailer and get right on your truck. I had a priority list and broken down travelers were at the top. I even had a crew who could sympathize with the customers also. There was always a mechanic willing to stay late if the solution was near. Your experience, had it been at my shop, would have been positive for both of us and you'd look back at it fondly.
Several years ago I was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia). I live in Carson City, NV. We headed off to MD Anderson cancer center in Houston in our 2016 F-350 6.7, towing our 30' travel trailer. I started getting check engine lights as we were going across NM. I ended up finding Gurley Ford in Gallup, NM. It was the first Saturday they were open since the COVID debacle. Anyway, I pleaded my leukemia dilemma and told them about my CEL (which I had diagnosed with my Banks iDash gauge). They took me in, let me drop my trailer down the street in one of their car lots, and immediately started working on my truck. They did a manual regen and updated the computer software on the truck. All this took about two hours. It cost me just over $100 - I was shocked. That's the same as "free" when it comes to diesel repairs. I was SO pleased with that dealership! I managed to get to Houston in time to get the proper treatment so I'm here to tell about my experience. There ARE good dealers out there!
I worked in service for 21 years. Anytime we had somebody traveling through the area that came in with a breakdown, understanding the situation the customer is in, I automatically gave them top priority. That might mean going above and beyond what we would offer to the normal customer dropping off a car for service. Like allowing a trailer to be parked in our storage lot temporarily. They were likely worried about liability for your property, but it's simple enough to make a note on the paperwork about the storage and that the dealer isn't liable. That dealer staff was terrible at showing any empathy.
The disclaimer about diagnosis cost if the repair is found to not be covered under warranty is just to cover the dealership's exposure though. It doesn't mean that they are trying to deny warranty coverage. Sometimes cars are dropped off with repairs assumed to be under warranty. Then after hours of diagnosis it's found that it isn't. Like an electrical problem on a brand new car that anyone would assume is covered, is found out to be due to rodent damage. It happens. The dealership can't bill warranty for that shop time and the dealership does have employee and facilities cost regardless. Myself and all writers I've worked with were always happy to give the good news to a customer that their repairs would be covered under warranty. Yes we do get reimbursed less than customer rate from warranty, but it's headache free and everybody is happy.
Yeah, that's the way I would approach it if I were a service manager in this situation as well. Seems like this dealer was intentionally messing with Taylor. I bet he's regretting that right about now. This looks bad on Ford and really looks bad on his dealership. 1.2 million eyeballs on his dumb a** so far. I bet they've never had this much attention in all their years in business, maybe combined. Supreme Ford of Slidell, LA folks.
I worked at a Dodge dealer for around a decade and ended up being the GMs fix it guy along with inventory work. This situation would have never happened. We would have dropped everything to get him back on the road ASAP. This is just a crappy dealer IMO.
I think he wants more then simply storage at the local dealer.....
Can you imagine the goodwill that dealer would have gotten if they just accomodated him in this situation and arranged for trailer storage. They missed a golden opportunity. Remember in way or the other it all comes back.
They don't care they know all the dope will be lining up to buy some over priced Lighting, or that broken down Bronco, or that POS Maverick. See when you have brain dead customers it easy to fool them again and again. Time to switch to a real truck eight Toyota or Honda, and before you tell me it will not tow a small country. Time to leave all that stuff at home or get a real tucking company to move it for you. Sure less expensive in the long run then to buy a Ford, Gm or Dodge anything.
Dealers make the absolute bare minimum on "warranty" issues...that and I am sure they were booked up with people who made actual appointments for service work.. you think that Ford dealer gives a rats ass who this guy is ?.... they don't... not even in the slightest
The balls the dealership had to come and ask when you would be moving the trailer while you were stranded. Ridiculous man.... That behavior just shows what kind of ethics that dealership is run with.
That’s what really got me. And it had only been like an hour or so. Refused an sort of loaner. Then also complained my trailer was there. Like bro. I can’t do both.
@@Taylordrifts you nailed it tho, you wouldn't be there if they had a reliable product. Diesel is currently in the same spot gasoline emissions development was in the late 80s. And yet again, the buyer is the test dummy.
@@Taylordrifts I’m very sorry you had a shitty situation with that dealership and area. If your ever in that area again look me up. I’m only 20 minutes away.
@@Taylordrifts can we get the details of this dealer so we can let potential buyers know that they are human scum and don't support their product after you roll off the lot?
frs shitty customer service. Now, if he were to be a potential buyer, he'd probably be getting the best treatment ever. All about the money for them.
There's an alternate universe where the dealership loans you a stickered up demo truck & tells you to carry on to texas while they diagnose your truck, & they get you singing their praises on a couple of videos, & having their name in front of crowds at LS Fest on your tow rig... but they seem to have screwed that one!
whoever this mystery chris guy is, is a solid dude. i havent even seen him pop up in your comments looking for gratitude for helping you out when you were in need. what goes around comes around and im sure he will be reimbursed in one way or another. thanks chris!
New viewer here. Sorry you had to deal with this, it's my fear towing as well. To the gentleman who only knew you from online and let you use his rig to get back home, you are an amazing human being!
Bring the fummins back to action. Like you said, you built it so you know how to work on it. If you keep the 2020, you’re just putting yourself back in the same situation if it does break down again. At least you can work on the fummins if it does break, rather than being scared to touch it to void the warranty. Do what you do best brother: GARAGE BUILT!!!!
I always wondered did he keep the fummins or sell it. I never saw the outcome of that.
and the biggest problem to is there's no telling what they will/won't replace. Say it's the pump and they change that, they may not cover the injectors even though shrapnel may have gone through them because a scanner says they're fine and they sprayed brake clean through them
@@10TowsDownTowing19:39
I don't understand why he sold it, he literallry built it to be the ultimate reliable truck, he literally built it to be more reliable than a new truck, it absolutely blew my mind when he sold it for a new truck.
@@motoweenies4431 Generally that is considered contingent damage and would be covered, but auto dealers do some shady crap all the time, especially when it comes to warranty work. Ford in my experience has been the worst and I stay away from them personally. Although my two local dealers that I have dealt with have been good the couple of times I have been forced to deal with them. It all just depends. Some dealers will almost bend over backwards for you, and others would piss in your cup holders after you leave (figuratively).

Whatever he decides, it's still a great truck and world's better than the newer stuff.
I see by your comments you've got things in order. I noted Chris has shown up, too. As an insurance guy, there's no way that dealership can assume liability for the bailment of your trailer. Imagine how differently this video would be if the service department was a little bit sympathetic of the situation. "Sure, throw your trailer in the corner of this huge lot we have for a couple hours, lets figure it out."
I remember learning about Net Promoter Scores when working in the service industry, essentially for every BAD experience that someone has at a place, they tell ~7 other people about it, at minimum. For positive experiences it's ~3 people. In Taylor's case as of now its 92,149 people that have heard of it.
Be nice ya'll, it comes around.
Well now is 234k people know to avoid new ford trucks with pos warranty
The owner probably shit himself when saw that Taylor had 600k+ subscribers.

If you wander around back you'll notice the techs all drive something they built themselves, and all the sales folks are upside down on something the dealer sells.

For sure I would definitely be making a call Ford main office because that ain't even cool
@David Yarbrough: in the end, who cares if Ford makes it right NOW? They ALREADY FUXX3D up so massively they would have lost my business FOREVER. Those trucks are the most expensive vehicles Ford makes (besides GT supercars) and those customers should be treated WELL; not like they are an imposition and not worth the effort of giving good customer service…the truck only has 50-60k on it FFS!!! This is going to cost them BIG, no matter how nice Taylor plays it because he’s a good guy not given to putting people on blast. He has a large following and everyone in the YT motorsports community will know about Ford’s 5hi++y warranty customer service (even if Ford bends over backwards with awesome warranty service from this point forward).
Sorry to hear about your issues . I have a F350 6.7L Powerstroke and has pulled my Travel Trailer all over the US with no issues. owned it for 10 years now
Also, God Bless Chris and those fellow people like him who understands that dire situation it was.

Sorry that this happened to you Taylor, and huge props to Chris for coming through. The world needs more of that!
I’ll binge watch all the upgrades/ repairs done to the fummins, love that thing
YES!
Had the same experience with my F450 6.7 diesel. Bought it with relatively few miles and after a couple of years things just started to break; one thing after another. Always took it to the dealer for service and they were very helpful; but they were mystified regarding the one-thing-after-another failures - all having to do with the engine, by the way - fuel system was the main culprit. Constantly throwing codes. So relieved that I got rid of it. Never again.
I hate dealing with dealerships. They will do everything they can to make sure that you aren't covered by your warranty thus sticking you with an outrageous bill. That comment that the service writer made about moving your trailer would have sent me over the edge. Service means nothing anymore and a warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. Shoutout to Chris for being an awesome dude.
I might have punched the guy in the fucking throat and said "sorry, what did you say?"
I would sue tf out of them
Agreed. Also, for a customer like Taylor not being able to rely on the warranty service to at least keep him moving forward is a 10,000% deal breaker!! He’s screwed both ways since the warranty makes him unable to get the part and fix it himself, taking away the only benefit warranty provides! Dealerships are great when well-managed, but comparable to the worst insurance company when poorly managed. That trailer comment proves the service manager either is a) a 5h1+ human being with no compassion or b) has never taken a road trip with so much in one trailer and the stress that multiplies on a situation…or both.
Absurd, I'm a tech at a ford dealership. We punch the causal part into the system and it shows if it's covered or not. There no hidden agenda to not warranty things. If anything we try our best to get items covered as it's a pain in the ass dealing with upset customers. There zero incentive to not warranty thing's that are covered. Get your head outta the sand 👎👎
@blazinlow86 He's obviously not saying a low level employee like a tech has a hidden agenda but the organization and higher level managers do everything they can to maximize profits by any means instead of doing what is right.
Hate to pull this card, but try talking to Vaughn. He’ll know who to escalate it to.
Or might know a non dogshit dealer 😅

This is the first time I watched your videos, and the headline caught my attention. Over 20 years ago, traveling to Alabama from Arizona, I had fuel injector pump troubles on a dual-wheel chevy. I was pulling a heavy 37' foot fifth wheel back home from a 3-year stay in AZ. On I10 in AZ while pulling a grade in Texas Canyon, I lost most of my power. I was able to limp into El Paso and get into a campground. I had fewer options than you. I spoke with a recently retired colleague back in Alabama and within 24 hours from Clanton AL he showed up in El Paso with Dodge Cummings and pulled me and my trailer home. I had managed to get the truck to an El Paso dealer and they gave me a ride back to the campground. I noticed you have an updated video, so I will get to see the end of the story. I had issues with the warranty on recently replaced fuel injector pumps with my truck. The bow-tie boys would not cover anything.
I had a 2013 f350. Had nothing but bad luck with it. Went back to a 2000 7.3 and have had nothing but good luck with it. It’s slow, loud and rides rough but it always starts and never leaves me stranded.

WOW, WHAT A GOAT F. HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT-----SO GLAD GREAT PEOPLE CAME TO THE RESCUE!!!!!
What a legend dude letting you use his truck, mad respect
That is almost like letting someone use your bass, your baby, that girl that sings your songs.😁
Would never have happened
Fummins all the way! You have invested so much into it to be a phenomenal tow rig. I'd trust your work more than a newer diesel truck, there are just way too many things that can go wrong.
Great video, new follower it’s funny that your video popped up on recommended, I also own a ford 2017 raptor and my truck has been at the dealer for a diff issue and engine issue for 36 days and didn’t get a loaner until today…….. best of luck on your new truck journey
Everyone i've known who has had issues with their ford has had similar experiences. Best bet is give the Fummins a good update, and have a good reliable truck.
My hat is off for Chris for letting you use his truck. There are still good people in this world.
Wow. That dealership experince sucked. Hopefully the GM at the dealership sees this video and does something for Taylor. Not ideal. If they dont do anything definitely sell it and upgrade the black tow rig. But the guys coming out of their way to help. That is epic. Reason why car culture is so special.
Nothing will happen unless Taylor calls them out and puts them on blast but he isn’t that type of guy

What an awesome guy Chris is. For a subscriber to just let you borrow his truck to pull your trailer home is amazing. The amount of weight you’re pulling could have easily damaged his truck but he didn’t care and just wanted to help you out. Glad to see people like that still exist

@@drywater3559 I don't know about cars but I'm looking at a used Subaru. Is that a bad idea?

That dealership had a chance to shine a great light on themselves and missed a golden opportunity by not being supportive. I'm guessing the owner blew a gasket at the employee that seemed to not have any empathy for your situation.
The insurance company and the dealership are two complete and different companies. Dealers offer this type of insurance to costumers as an option. Dealerships don't provide the relief from these policies , the insurance company does. The dealer only covers their warranty , which is the manufactures warranty and doesn't apply to trade in vehicles that are purchased used. I bought a car from a dealership and they offered a warranty for a price. I asked to see the policy terms and after reading them, I said no thanks. Skip the warranty folks.
That is absolute truth..........
But the fact is the dealer will use ANYTHING he can find to squirm out of giving anyone free repairs no matter who is backing the warranty. Everything new is overpriced and built for disposal and any implied warranty is a fight to make use of. The new motor vehicle business in America is dangerously close to crash and burn due to customer dissatisfaction.
@@mikehatch2114 the manufacturer's warreny covers the vehicle for a specified period of time and milage starting from when it was first sold. If it was bought used within that period the new owner still has the remaining coverage.
@@crazyoilfieldmechanic3195 of course dealerships don't want to give anyone free repairs. They're businesses, not charities and the people wirking there are employees, not volunteers. But warrenty isn't free work. If it's a manufacturer's warrenty the work is paid for by the manufacturer. If it's extended warreny the work is paid fir by the warrenty company. Extended warrenties are pretty easy to work with. You diagnose the problem, explain what's wrong and give them a quote for the repair. They either approve the job or they don't. Manufacturer warrenty is different. They demand more documentation only to pay less than the job is worth, the payout often being dependant on appoval after the the job is done. No one wants to do more work for less pay or no pay at all so they will naturally be extra vigilant when it comes to manufacturer warrenty claims.
@@lb9gta307 Depends on the dealership. I had an F-150 where the motor ceased due to loss of oil. I had been doing oil changes and there was no oil on the outside of the engine. This means that a gasket failed causing an internal leak and burned out all the oil. The dealership refused to honor the warranty and said that a new engine would cost me around $5,000. I know exactly what they were trying to do... try to get me to pay, but behind my back make the warranty claim, therefore getting paid double for the work!
You are not the first who was let down by the ford motor company. Oh the yarns i could tell you dating back to well much older than you.
Nice to see their are good folk still out there willing to help!
I road raced for over 20 years and the tow vehicle was always the best vehicle in the driveway. We had several breakdowns over the years and I was always amazed at how people came to you in the time. I do recall the time we were at Roebling Road and needed a water pump in the 'Burb. I had so many mechanics standing in line to help but no parts stores had the water pump for a 454???? We had to stay overnight and get a tow to the dealer. At least the track let me leave the trailer at the track. Another time we blew the intake gasket and stopped in Metter GA where a dealership was 300 yards off the interstate. One of the techs even ran home to get a part that wasnt in the store and we were on the road in just a few hours. I sent the guy a gift card for a very good restaurant in Gatlinburg because that was his vacation spot. There are good people out there but the bad ones usually are remembered. I almost didnt make LS Fest several years ago because my tow vehicle didnt make it out of the shop; its first replacement broke while I was driving it home after borrowing it from a racing buddy. Finally a client took a truck out of his fleet and sent the crew home early so I could have it for the weekend. Luckily I never broke down in La.
Fix, run, and keep the Fummins. As you found out, buying/having a newer truck is no longer peace of mind. In today's world, most dealers are horrible! Shout out to Chris, who helped you out with his Dodge!
Definitely keep the fummins in service. I was a bit worried about this exact situation when you got the new truck, I've had the displeasure of working on a few of the newer trucks and the fuel pump issue is an extremely common issue and dealers never want to help... Hope you get it all figured out, just my thoughts...
God bless that gentleman for getting you home. America is full of people like this but no one ever hears about them (which is fine with nearly every one of them).
God bless chris. Great dude. Thanks for being a good person
You're experiencing just a small bit of what the trucking industry has been dealing with these emission trucks. New doesn't mean less maintenance. Actually means MORE!
I HATED working on the 6.7 Powerstroke. Every single one of them leaked oil within the first year, many water pumps fail and the diesel emission systems are terrible. DEF heaters fail regularly as well as the multitude of NOx and EGT sensors. I was stranded out on a test drive when an EGT sensor failed and the truck shut off. Refused to even crank.
When the DEF system has ANY problems it'll start counting down miles until it will limit its' speed then refuse to start. Most owners didn't show up with them in this condition (yes...we had many) until there were only a few miles left before the truck bricked itself. You cannot reset this counter....you have to fix the problem (or hope you did) then drive it and once the computer is satisfied it's supposed to clear the counter and light.
Driving an F-450 dually from the local Gas Company (fully loaded box truck) the counter hit '0' and according to the readout on the dash it was going to limit itself to 50 mph...but that's not what it did...it threw itself into REVERSE at 50 mph!!!! Man...that was dramatic and it destroyed the transmission. Everyone was upset ...including me having to wrestle a hopping, smoking truck off the road without hitting anything...very exciting. I'm sorry but you couldn't give me a 6.7 Ford and anyone expecting to buy a new one and then depend on it for work is likely going to be disappointed....or worse.
Edit: I wrote the above before watching the video. Low fuel pressure is often the pressure regulator that is in the rear of the motor drivers side. When you pull it out there will likely be metallic debris in it which Ford will then say is YOUR fault from water in the fuel. Most owners don't regularly drain the water separator and Ford says you must replace the ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM. BS. We've replaced several pressure regs (they're not that expensive) without doing the entire system with success. You are looking at $5-7000 for the repair if you do it the way Ford says to do it. See...that's why I hate them.
Wait until they make you use electric/battery powered trucks!!

Chris is literally the homie for this kind of sportsmanship, I don't know a better word for it. And what a RIG of a RAM too!
Man, that's a rough patch. I'm really glad homeboy came through for you though. That's real kindness.
I sorta understand why the service writer didn't seem to appear to want to help you though.
True story. I'm working in a tire shop, doing sales. Dude comes in, dressed real sharp in a nice suit, he's clearly got to be somewhere important. He's a lawyer, he's on his way to trial he's got a flat tire. But i've got a 3 hour wait minimum.
He does the whole i'm a lawyer thing i've got to get to court, this is an important day, I can't miss this session, blah blah blah. I apologise, i'm sorry, the wait time is the wait time. He stresses how important it is again, he'll pay extra, but he can't miss todays court session.
What he doesn't know is the four people sitting on the bench all came in with their own story. So I point to them "this gentleman is on his way to his college finals. This young lady is on her way to a job interview. This nice lady is on her way to the hospital, (I have to ask her if I may share what she told me, she agrees) her husband has been in hospital for some time but he's taken a turn for the worse and they think if she comes to visit he might pull through, but visiting hours are limited. And this other gentleman (I have to ask said gentleman "may I tell him" and he nods) is on his way to court because he's trying to gain custody of his children. I really do understand how important and urgent this is FOR YOU, but as you can see, there are other people here who urgently need to be somewhere else too. I can't say your court case is more important than this man getting custody of his children, or any of these other people who are waiting so it's strictly first come first serve for walk ins. There is Discount Tire Center right across the street, and if you go down the street about a mile there's a small used tire place where they might be able to get you sorted quicker, but I have a 3 hour wait."
Ever since then, anytime I take my car or motorcycle for service I tell them to take their time, there is no rush, if something for someone else is more urgent take care of that first, just call me when you're done. I apply this to my doctor visits, dental appointments, my investments dude, lawyer, I volunteer to be bumped from flights, etc. I sat for 4 hours in the waiting room of a surgical center, 11/ 12 yrs ago, waiting for my procedure. The doctor came and apologised, there was an emergency etc etc, and I told them no sweat. I literally only commented that I was really hungry because I had to fast for 12 hours before my procedure.
Everyone has their own story/ emergency. Police hear them all the time, I never make excuses when I get pulled over now. I just cop to the infraction and take my ticket. There's more important things going on than me debating with a cop on the side of the road.
Anyway, i'm glad you were able to get home.
Chris is one cool dude. Very nice of him to let you use it. I will say I am a Ram fan but only a long bed for me. Glad you made it home safe and kudos to Chris..
That gentleman is amazing. Loaning you his truck!!
Glad you got it sorted out! Big props to Chris for stepping up. Can’t wait until after your truck is fixed so we can leave a review of the dealership 🤓
What would you say? Asking for a friend.

So glad everything worked out for. Dealers especially Ford has a reputation for not being helpful. Chris that lent you his truck is an Angel man let’s hope things work out. Oh yeah sell the newer truck like you say a breakdown will still be in the back of your mind. Fix up the older one it looks cool. Good luck buddy.

That service guy sounds like he’s never been in a tight spot. He will be one day and I hope someone teaches him how to be kind and to have compassion for others. Service above Self
Damn, this dealership is crazy! Back when i was working in a shop, we got a tow-in with a car, that wasn't any of "our brands". The guy was stranded. One of our techs were told to drop everything to get the problem diagnosed as best we could, just to see if it was something we could fix for him to get back home.
We had him back on the road again within 5 hrs.
I had a 3500 silverado dually with onstar…it started giving me trouble in Hoboken, nj which was 300 miles from home. To my astonishment when i asked the onstar operator if a dealer was close by she placed me on hold, called the nearest dealer, gave me turn by turn directions……the mechanic was actually waiting on me and upon arrival he directed me to drive up on the lift. Two hours later me and my trailer were on the road. It felt like a race car drivers pit stop. I am still amazed at the service.
Thats is the most scariest thing, I remember back in the 80s I was about 3 hours from home, I was young, broke, and I had a Chevy Nova that broke down in the Bronx NY. I was thankful about a block away, there was a garage with some dudes that wanted to help, and help they did, they got me back on the road in about 1.5 hours, and it cost me $40 and a case of Heineken beer that the folks in the garage requested and were thankful. I think the problem was with the starter or something, but the fix the brothers did got me back home safe and sound.
Chris is a legend.. That being said.. Power driven diesel need to be contacted about upgrades to the fummins. They've worked with westen and Finnegan recently.. We need to make this happen as a community of both channels.
First and foremost, lets all shout out Chris for the help. Whoever he is to help a person in their time of need, shows the true character that he has. Second Taylor don't beat yourself up over the truck. You said it best that the sole purpose of getting it was for that new truck reliability and warranty that comes along with it. I don't like the Ford brand from my own personal bad experiences and friends that have had to deal with them as well. People can have their own opinion on that and it's fine I'm not here to bash them or the brand so don't take it like that please. My vote would be to get rid of the new Ford truck and at least for now use the Fummins. Like you said you know that truck inside and out, if something happens you know it can be dealt with in a timely manner. I wouldn't rule out looking for something else new though don't let this bad experience make you worry about something that could be much better. Hope everything get sorted quickly for you and have a blessed day.
Just goes to show that there are still some good people out there.
thank you Chris god bless you young man
Chris, seriously, you are an absolute legend of a human being!

This gives me extreme pause regarding the purchase of a Ford with a warranty. Really disappointing as I’ve been a Ford guy my whole life. Glad you got home safe.
It's not just Ford Dealers, it's Dealers in general. A guy I knew had bought a brand new Suburban and the same day he took ownership the engine grenaded itself(not even 100 miles on it) the dealership basically did its your problem not ours. He went and got an Expedition after it was settled and has been happy. That's why it's always important to find a good dealership in your area and deal with them even if they're not your brand of choice.

@@YOSHI450R that’s insane. Part of the reason to buy one of the “big three” is the dealer network, emphasis on network. Well done, that man Chris!! Glad you were able yo get home. What an ordeal. I have been in the position you are in now. I bought a brand new 84 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale 2 door. Thing was forever broken. 42 work orders in the 18 months and not quite 30,000 miles. I should have kept the 69 Acadian. Such is life. When it comes to diesel, i only know what my brother has found out with his 2018 F-250 Power Stroke. He lives un a small town in the Yukon Territory just south of the Arctic Circle. It is sbout 6 hours or 350 miles from their place to Whitehorse. One day leaving Whitehorse the truck decided that the urea injection system was bad. Fortunately ttey were under 35 miles from the dealer. Limp home mode was 35 miles per hour for 35 miles, after which she die until the computer is reset. Being where they are, had they been out of town they wiuld have needed to use the Coast Guard monitored Emergency Beacon to ask the either the Search and Resue or the Army to come pick them up. Luckily he got the extended warranty. To repair the Urea system was going to be $10,000! To remove the system was $2,000. The warranty company accepted and paid the claim
Sorry you had to deal with this. & I'm glad everything worked out for you. & Everyone & everything is home safe & sound. - Shame on that dealer, they should have assigned one person with the task of getting you back on the road as quickly & smoothly as possible while they take care of your broken truck. Can you move your trailer should have been, 'Let's see about getting you & your trailer back on the road'. Hopefully they'll learn from this, because if they continue like this, sales will suffer & quarterly profits will fall & they will close.
I’ve worked at 4 dealers now and I can tell you they’re all very similar to your experience and it depends on people’s moods if they want to help or not, sell your new truck and get the fummins back on the road cause if it ever breaks you can fix anything on it
Agreed! Worked at 24+ dealerships. And it's really comes down to the leadership in the building. I did contract work for them. And most didn't want to give you a second of their time. They would just walk away from you. But if something was wrong....oh shit! They have all the time in the world to talk to you. Most high-end dealers, the management was amazing! Porsche, Mercedes, Acura, Lotus, etc. They actually gave a shit. They would drop or stop talking to someone to help or fix a problem. #1 thing at any dealership is who you know. And when you find that one person, only deal with them.
Absolutely unbelievable. You kept it so calm and collected when that warranted a huge Karen moment. Shout out to Chris absolute legend.
