I have entered the Kaba when I was a small boy. That day there were very very few people and surprisingly it was being washed and they needed few volunteers. My dad climbed in. The man inside inside pulled me and my siblings and few other men in and it looked not like this. Was so ancient and those silver pots were so so ancient too hanging around on top and there wasn’t any lights so kind of dark. When we were climbing the stairs to reach the top exit, the wooden stairs were also so ancient and shaky I thought they would break at any moment. Reached the top. Helped pull the black cover. Prayed inside. It was an experience I never forget. I guess the upgrade was recent. They should have try their best to keep it as ancient as possible with just upgrading the stairs. You could directly feel the times and presence of the prophets’ time.

Before Muhammad....there are hundreds of small kaabas with its own idol (worshipers normally pay/offering money to their preferred kaaba...the more famous kaaba received more offerings). Only during Mohammad the rest are demolished leaving only the Al-Lat kaaba..and stands till today.

I’ve heard They hide some artefacts from non Muslims and for photo taking and videos like this showcasing it. From what I’ve researched and heard, there was a photo of Mary, also Indian artefact and some traditions followed which they learnt other religions. Well, it’s had to be renovated or rebuilt a few times, and there is a story about the Prophet (PBUH) doing a really ingenious thing: different tribal or family groups wanted the honor of placing either a cornerstone to rebuild, or maybe it was the special rock (I’m not sure which)… but, to avoid the different family groups feeling slighted about who’d be chosen to do this special part of rebuilding or renovation, the Prophet had the cornerstone (or again, perhaps it was the special rock) placed on a blanket or cloth, and then many heads of family or heads of tribe ALL were able to grab a part of the blanket and carry the stone to where it ought to be. (Very cool solution, no ?)

Kaaba was reconstructed so many time due to damages by war and fire in the last 1400 years and is now it is in its latest state

I have done Hajj. Would like to know what the pot things are hanging. I question things and trust I'm not walking around some pagan relic. I know we are not to worship none but Allah. However I saw some behaviour that made me think some people worship the Kaaba itself.

Well, it’s had to be renovated or rebuilt a few times, and there is a story about the Prophet (PBUH) doing a really ingenious thing: different tribal or family groups wanted the honor of placing either a cornerstone to rebuild, or maybe it was the special rock (I’m not sure which)… but, to avoid the different family groups feeling slighted about who’d be chosen to do this special part of rebuilding or renovation, the Prophet had the cornerstone (or again, perhaps it was the special rock) placed on a blanket or cloth, and then many heads of family or heads of tribe ALL were able to grab a part of the blanket and carry the stone to where it ought to be. (Very cool solution, no ?)

That black stone is a piece of a meteorite and no one knows if was already there or if was taken there.
