It's illegal to film but he obviously didn't go out of his way to film some secret organization but I can appreciate a unique story.
Arcaryon my dad went to hajj last year and he filmed there freely without anyone telling him otherwise. It’s completely okay to film the only reason why people might make it seem like it’s not is because it’s not about the legality, it’s about the hajj’s process. You shouldn’t film your pilgrimage in some cases because it’s not allowed as a hajj procedure
@@a_z_771 You can but you should keep the cameras small. " The authorities disapprove of you taking pictures inside the mosque in both Mecca and Medina. If you are caught they may ask to view your camera pictures and force you to delete them. However, with almost everyone now having mobile phone cameras its a losing battle as so many people take snaps from all sorts of vantage point. You are not going to get far by trying to take a big zoom camera to the mosque. If its sticks out the guards will just frisk you. A relatively small compact camera or mobile phone hidden in your pocket will be totally fine. The DSLR will be fine when you are doing the tours around the other religious sites." Again, it's click bait because everyone does it but it is still kind of like that.
Arcaryon that might true but it’s not that deep. Remember when the angels proclaimed, “O Mary! Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him, his name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and he will be one of those nearest to Allah. [Qur’an 3:45] Indeed, We have sent revelation to you [O Muhammad!] as We sent revelation to Noah and the prophets after him. We also sent revelation to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants, as well as Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon. And to David We gave the Psalms. [Qur’an 4:163] Indeed, those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have fallen into disbelief. Say, O Muhammad, “Who has the power to prevent Allah if He chose to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, his mother, and everyone in the world all together?” To Allah alone belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in between. He creates whatever He wills. And Allah is Most Capable of everything. [Qur’an 5:17] O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes regarding your faith; say nothing about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah and the fulfilment of His Word through Mary and a spirit created by a command from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say, “Trinity.” Stop!-for your own good. Allah is only One God. Glory be to Him! He is far above having a son! To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And Allah is sufficient as a Trustee of Affairs. [Qur’an 4:171] Then in the footsteps of the prophets, We sent Jesus, son of Mary, confirming the Torah revealed before him. And We gave him the Gospel containing guidance and light and confirming what was revealed in the Torah-a guide and a lesson to the God-fearing. [Qur’an 5:46] The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food. See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded from the truth! [Qur’an 5:75] …and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” But they neither killed nor crucified him-it was only made to appear so. Even those who argue for this crucifixion are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever-only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. [Qur’an 4:157]
About that stoning part. It's not actually that people would stone satan. It was done by one of the prophets where he threw a stone at satan when he was there. So it's just a reenactment. He IS an alien from this. I mean, think about this. Millions of people go to one small city in the desert, do an ancient ritual (nearly religions consists of ancient rituals before anyone accuses me of something) and basically live on a diffrent planet for a single week. Imagine someone who has never been to Rome, visiting Europe for the first time in their life, coming from say a nation in southeast Asia on the day the pope is elected and has seen very few things about the process but had a Christian upbringing in a modern city and works as a journalist vor a hipster style journalism channel. Religion is crazy. People pray to beings of which noone can know for sure if they even exist, follow almost outlandish customs and call it "faith". I mean, you can even see how the oldest of these faiths meaning Judaism, developed from interactions with travelers in the region, how Islam, Christianity and Judaism were founded on the bases of always taking parts they liked and adding to them. I am a non-believer, I believe in nothing, not by choice btw but because my reasoning doesn't allow me to. But like to myself, this process is completey foreign to him. You don't have to believe to be a part of a religion. I am a Christian on paper. He is a Muslim - on paper. I can still do all the rituals my faith requires. But that doesn't mean anything if you do not believe in them anymore.

@@rezaF_ Was he really disrespectful or just casual? He pointed out a lot of things that are not wrong, the strangeness of the process, the logistical challanges and he wasn't disrespectful but not respectful either. If someone would go to travel to any place in the world, come back and tell the story to a group of friends, the results would be similar. He didn't mock anything about this process. Maybe the problem wasn't in the process of the report but merely the nature of the tradition. Going into a church to pray is extremely weird. You read from a book that was written centuries after the events it wants to tell us about, sing songs to praise God and eat a small piece of bread symbolizing part of the story that allegedly happened all the time ago yet also choosing to believe that all this is still real. Let met tell you something about humans. Nearly all fear death and have at one point or another spent time thinking about it. Religion is a tool that gives people hope. That has nearly always been true and will almost always been true. It can be a very direct hope or an indirect one. But as a European; let me tell you a little story about the truth which you think so little of. Many decades ago, a war broke out that ended up killing millions. And they all prayed to their god. If a god exists and didn't do anything about this he is either diabolical or completely uninterested in our fate. Or - doesn't exist. www.nationalww2museum.org/students-teachers/student-resources/research-starters/research-starters-worldwide-deaths-world-war Battle Deaths: "15,000,000 Battle Wounded: 25,000,000 Civilian Deaths: 45,000,000 *Worldwide casualty estimates vary widely in several sources. The number of civilian deaths in China alone might well be more than 50,000,000." I knew someone pretty good who had a brother that died - the mother turned to god for hope. She couldn't bare to not know what had happened to her child. If people choose to believe in their gods, fine. That is a private buisness. But let me assure you that my truth isn't simply a faith it's a fact. People kill, rape, pillage, die... Want kind of god is that the world prays to? I read the whole bible and all I found was a bloodthirsty ancient god that wasn't much different from most and a new god that preached love and peace and still let so many innocents get slaughtered. Reality isn't debatable. I never mock religion but when you pray to some guy that was executed nearly 2000 years ago or perhaps choose the younger Islamic faith I seriously question if you have ever really thought about faith as a fact and not merely a philosophical believe. I encourage religion btw, life is often too horrible to endure existence without having something to believe in. But don't ever assume again that my truth is merely something as mondaine and primitive as a faith.

There are few things to be corrected/clarified in this video: 1- it's ok to film holy places like Mecca, i have many photos and videos. But filming with a pro camera is not welcomed unless you have a permission. Like many TV channels for example. 2- Having someone shouting the prayers while that group on the plane repeating it , is optional. It can be an individual thing. All other prayers are to be done individually. No need for shouting out loud.. so no need for microphones. 3- the laps around Ka'aba can be done from the 2nd or 3rd floor as well, to avoid the crowd. 4- what's displayed in (7:45 - 8:13) in this video, is because those people did not pay enough to have a normal trip to Mecca, with a place to stay and other facilities to be provided. It's not organized. The average round-trip price from USA is about 5000 USD for around 12 days [6 in Mecca, 5 in Madina] including everything (air-ticket too) and this is once in a life time type of trip. 5- throwing stones are not actually for Satan.. it's a (Commemoration) of what prophet Ibrahim did when he threw 7 stones at Satan. 6- at the end, you can cut little of your hair or shave bald.. you can choose whatever you like

"we snuck a camera into mecca to film the hajj" they make it seem so dangerous and dramatic as if it's something illegal to do.
But it is. They have the official broadcast in Saudi Arabia (as I have learned now) and while you are right about the drama being weird (kind of click bait but I think he didn't write the title) he is right about everything he says.
"
The authorities disapprove of you taking pictures inside the mosque in both Mecca and Medina.
The DSLR will be fine when you are doing the tours around the other religious sites."
Again, it's click bait because everyone does it but it is still kind of like that.
Arcaryon that might true but it’s not that deep. I’ve been to makkah and madina myself multiple times and i’ve taken so many pictures there and i’m not gonna lie, one guard actually saw me taking a picture of the kaaba and he gave me a bad look, didn’t say anything to me but he was definitely not happy with me taking a picture and that’s it

Remember when the angels proclaimed, “O Mary! Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him, his name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and he will be one of those nearest to Allah. [Qur’an 3:45]
Indeed, We have sent revelation to you [O Muhammad!] as We sent revelation to Noah and the prophets after him. We also sent revelation to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants, as well as Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon. And to David We gave the Psalms. [Qur’an 4:163]
Indeed, those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have fallen into disbelief. [Qur’an 5:17]
O People of the Book! [Qur’an 4:171]
Then in the footsteps of the prophets, We sent Jesus, son of Mary, confirming the Torah revealed before him. And We gave him the Gospel containing guidance and light and confirming what was revealed in the Torah-a guide and a lesson to the God-fearing. [Qur’an 5:46]
The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food. See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded from the truth! [Qur’an 5:75]
…and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” But they neither killed nor crucified him-it was only made to appear so. Even those who argue for this crucifixion are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever-only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. [Qur’an 4:157]

It was such an arduous journey. Now we have flights and all modern facilities and still this guy is complaining. Hajj is a test of patience, not a tour.

@M Sagri true, in the "Year of flood" which is 1941. The tawaf was underwater. But there weren't many people there at the time. You can find images by googling "Mekkah 1941"

The title is so misleading, they make it feel like a FBI mission
The reporter acted like he was an alien from all of this and wasn’t a Muslim or didn’t get the true spiritual meaning
@@Arcaryon let's think you're completely right , Still does it all allows him to go to some place (without any invitation or force just out of curiosity) and start mocking people so loudly that millions of people hear it RUclips ? We,re not supposed to go to a strange place with different people which for one reason or another believe differently from us and start looking down on them and mock them with our tone and the way speak . if after all we're decided to go there at least we should show them respect and broadcast whatever we have seen honestly!

Battle Deaths:

Civilian Deaths:
45,000,000
*Worldwide casualty estimates vary widely in several sources. The number of civilian deaths in China alone might well be more than 50,000,000."
I knew someone pretty good who had a brother that died - the mother turned to god for hope.
But don't ever assume again that my truth is merely something as mondaine and primitive as a faith.

from all walks of life, all races, all nationalities, humbling themselves together. You're the CEO of a company, but you have
to sleep on the ground, next to a poor street sweeper who saved up for years to perform the Hajj, it's a humbling experience.
- The journey isn't meant to be a holiday. It's meant to be arduous. What spiritual experience doesn't have a certain
degree of difficulty?
- Even if it gets a bit overwhelming, it's 6 days... 6 days for a Muslim to have a morally clean slate. C'mon, man.

I thought the lacking resolution would make this less interesting but boy was I wrong. Everything was done so well, I forgot the resolution was bad. The way this was filmed, the music, and the storytelling also made me feel like they're on another planet and it was as if I was there. I really appreciate this since I love learn about culture, history, and religion.
There are few things to be corrected/clarified in this video:
1- it's ok to film holy places like Mecca, i have many photos and videos.
6- at the end, you can cut little of your hair or shave bald.. you can choose whatever you like
So regarding 4) does that mean mecca is also a big industry? Like I didn't see anything that would justify a 5k price tag, flights are half of that at max. How much do people spend to live in tents?
