I was literally like "No... Can't be..." when you started showing all that B-roll to start the video. That's pretty crazy... but not nearly as crazy as this message from our sponsor!
I have it. It's actually a bargain compared to what you need to buy to get something similar for streaming (e.g. a Sony EV10 or ZV1F with Capture Card). This is the only review with outdoor footage!. I'd be interested if you can do a comparison with budget Sony cameras like the ZV1F Mark 2. Yes, the focus hunting is quite annoying if you move around, hopefully its something they might be able to improve with new firmware.
I use two cameras in my stream setup. One is for face and the other is for crafting on my desk. Would this be a better option for a desk camera or should I look for a DSLR setup to mount to my wall?
It should work well as a desk camera, but only if you require the single field of view. Getting a DSLR with a zoom lens would allow tighter framing if needed. -D.

Here's the thing, and you almost touched on this - you can buy an actual mirrorless camera which is relatively easy to use as a webcam and have the added benefit of being able to actually use it as a camera for the same price which will have MUCH better quality, especially with a cheap c-mount lens - for creamy, lush background bokeh and crisp focus as well as better framerates. If this cam was 150 bucks it might be worth it, but for $300 bucks it's too close to make any sense at all unless you're just lazy. I'd imagine anyone trying to achieve very high quality camera stream results would consider it worthwhile, even if it requires a bit more set-up and preparation.
Sure but you would also need a capture card. This is also plug and play. I predict that this webcam will drop in price over the years. The non ultra version is only 90 bucks rn.

Of course your 4k version will provide really wonderful picture quality, but believe me the Kiyo Pro is only maybe 5% behind--and it is a ton less money! There's a "PowerLine Frequency (Anti Flicker)" setting in Razer Synapse (the software used to configure these webcams), and there's a drop-down next to it that has "60 Hz" selected by default. So, presumably, there is a 50 Hz option there, too, I guess. I saw this in the video "Best Setting for the Razer Kiyo - UpDate For 2021" from the "EvolutionGaz" yt channel if you want to see what I mean. At least there was one, 2 years ago... Razor is a joke. People need to stop recommending them. Regardless if their product is good for a month of testing. It sucks long term and their support sucks and doesn't honor warranties.
Image quality is very good, but the motion looks very stuttery in 4K. It looks like it isn't running at 30fps at all. It's distracting to watch, and it's immediately noticeable to me that something is off.
It's great to see webcams getting better but that motion is a deal-breaker.
Im really surprised that no one is mentioning this, surely I'm not the only one that notices?!
I noticed it, I dont like the 30FPS in 4K. No point of getting this if it cant do 4K @60 it looks horrible. Rather stay 1080 over 60
@@funplaymix7710 It doesn't even look like it's running at 30fps. With any other 30fps video, the footage is fine, but this webcam it looks like a slideshow. Something is off.
I'm a bit surprised this wasn't observed or mentioned in the video.
Best webcam period.
I see the shots are made in my country .Are you living there ? 🙃
Can this do 2k stream
Hellooo... I mean...does it support Windows Hello?
always wondered why cheap 200 dollar phones have 4k cameras with multiple lenses. but you buy a 300 dollar webcam and its 720p at 30fps.
mm, interesting stuff
300 bucks you could buy a pixel phone and use it as a webcam and it blow this out of the water... Webcams are supposed to be cheap or have added features, such as Windows hello or like the instalink 360
Insanely impressive, but no windows hello 😢
Wait you're Bulgarian?? :o
300 dollars, man, that's expernsive, very expensive!
if you are someone who doesnt want to use their phone as a webcam it is not bad at all
Very impressive but without reliable AF - I will still use my camera.
Bad autofocus = bad webcam
I just use my phone. Bought an app, has a light, and zoom. 300 saved
