@Yahya Warsi [Student] just trying to show support to creators I really respect especially when I understand how much of the negative stuff we have to deal with
I think the first product is legitimately pretty cool and probably really useful. Being able to control volume outside of software is very convenient because you don't have to tab out while in a game.
@@MrGamelover23For me, its the ability to set volume controls for the app instead of the system. I cant vegin to tell you how many video hames I start up for the first time and they are so loud they make your ears bleed when the rest of your audio is at moderate levels

The PCPanel is the most interesting for me, especially since I don't like using audio normalization functions, so I end up adjusting either the system volume or the speaker itself every now and then.
Press Windows Key + G to bring up Windows Gaming Overlay. You can use the volume widget to control all of your volume levels with ease. That has pretty much the same functionality as PC Panel and it's free. Most gaming keyboards already have plenty of macros support.
What we like about PC Panel is that (if you think about it) it can actually be easily mounted UNDER a desk just within reach and still provide amazing functionality.
Look into nk2tray. It lets you use a midi controller for volume and media control, basically what the pcpanel does but with more features and more knobs. I use the behringer xtouch mini and it has 8 knobs, 1 slider for overall volume, 8 mute buttons and media control.
Yea I backed this product initially on kickstarter. too bad the app that it comes with hardly ever worked, and was a pain to try to set up in the first place
@@TalesOfWar a lot of the compression came from the noise cancelation itself. A lot of what noise compression IS is reducing or eliminating volume at certain pitches. The PCPanel thing is pretty neat. I remember first hearing about it. Other alternatives that can do similar functions would be midi controllers repurposed for use with a PC to control that stuff. Using software such as NK2tray (with a Korg NanoKontrol2 midi controller) or midi-mixer with any midi controller, you could control the volumes of anything in the windows volume mixer super easy. It's really nice.
I love the MIDI Mixer program. I can never go back from that now. The functionality and ease of use is just super amazing, and the Discord community for it is so helpful. I use a Behringer X-Touch Mini with it, but as you say, MIDI Mixer can be used with any midi controller. Even the Elgato Stream Deck can be used with it, when you install a midi plugin for it.
The Noise canceling adapter was just painful to listen to. Hearing the normal audio with the drilling in the background felt comfortable in comparison.
MY $50 ,mid-level, great sounding, WIRELESS- headset- does what the N C D does -thanks anyway. Without the nasally, "squelch" sound effect very evident in your video. When I hear any player with that , I mute them. So annoying. I like ASUS but i'll definitely pass on that.
@@epochinfinitysedge5008 Yes, please, what headset? Because if you have a $50 wireless headset that can cancel out an active woodshop and metal shop in close range, that is exactly what I'm looking for.
@@TanyaHakala Even my $99 active noise cancelling wireless headset isn't going to work in there. You're looking at an expensive BOSE product -that doesn't have that (*@!#) nasal sound of the ASUS adapter. My $50, 450s can cancel - HAND Drill noise. NOT workshop machine shop noise. Different decibels. It has to do with the active "LIMITER" capability of any noise canceller. I could list my collection of noise cancelling headsets but what you are looking for goes beyond mid level capable headsets. If you don't mind the crap sound of the ASUS adapter, then by all means get it. It is better than nothing, i guess. Judging from other comments, i'm not alone in my thinking.
The corsair RGB strip seems pretty awesome! I'm not sure why they don't also put some sort of USB A/C lead in the box so you can use them outside of a PC case. One unusual accessory I use is a USB Hub that switches between two PCs with a button - I can switch accessories quickly between my personal and work PCs, it's pretty nice.
8:00 - Yeah, my ~200$ phone (Makes calls. Has an inbuilt LTE modem, WiFi adapter, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, Accelerometer, Microphone, Speakers, etc.) that one has a way bigger and way better high-resolution touchscreen display. There's no excuse that this tiny thing doesn't have a super-high res, 60fps OLED display at 99$.
Low production volumes kinda make everything really expensive. But I agree that as a consumer, its difficult to see the value when other screens seem to have much more value.
@@Carterthielftw_ Well, it _could_ have been a nice gimmick. I'm actually upset that the specs and technical design/realization/build quality for such a basic product aren't better. Especially at that price point. Cause I'd actually like something like that, if it would look appealing and was priced reasonably. They can't cheap out on the screen, when their device *is* just a screen. Make it larger, less bezels, OLED, fancier UI design and they got a customer right here.
Arduino Nano, a couple of pots and then you either use MIDI Translator Pro or deej - you'll need to set up the Nano as a Midi device in the first case. Inexpensive Midi controllers generally will cost about as much as the PCPanel, at least if you add MIDI Translator Pro to it, but they tend to have more controls as well. But if you aren't averse to soldering, Go with either of the Arduino options, deej cost less, MIDI Translator Pro is more flexible.
@@simongunkel7457 for the nanokontrol 2 a person on reddit did all the work to have it work with music and all the audio with the faders already for the windows
@@InSaiyanShinobi Yes, but the combined price of the Nanokontrol 2 and the software they use (powermixer) is about the PCPanel price. Most of that solution also works for the Arduino, where you get to specify which CC and which channel it outputs to. I have an AKAI controller mainly for the pads, but my next controller will be Arduino based because I want big faders and plenty of them and we're talking about 5€ per 120mm fader. And even budget controllers easily cost 10x that per fader if the faders are big.
I appreciate the video. But most of the stuff featured in this video seems like useless junk. Besides the volume controller, and noise cancelling adapter.

pcpanel is exactly what i've been needed for awhile now ! started lookin into mixers and what not just to solve my problem but pcpanel is what i need EXACTLY ! thanks for the video
The nexus just seems like a bad product
I think the form factor is really odd too. I’d love this in OLED and bigger but 🤷♂️
-D.
@@Rainquack it had so much potential, great idea bad execution
Is there a cheaper version of the PCPanel Volume mixer thingy?
I haven't found any alternatives, but I have the PcPanel and I would say its definitely worth the money!
@@ChrisProductions8115 get a midi controller fam that’s all it is
Arduino Nano, a couple of pots and then you either use MIDI Translator Pro or deej - you'll need to set up the Nano as a Midi device in the first case.
I'd say even the volume controller is useless because it adds little to no functionality that isn't already a mouse click or two away.
the volume control thing is pretty cool
That noise cancelling genuinely blew my mind. Wild stuff, even though I might never need it
"cool rgb Accessories You've Never Heard Of"
does anyone notice how thicc that monitor is?
Looks like my 30 inch thick boy from 2010
@@RickMyBalls alienware used to look super thicc like that
7:02 WHAT!?!?! You aren't using VGA!?!?! XD
PCPanel is personally the only one I would find useful and I'd consider buying. Thanks for making me discover it!
if the light towers were a little less expensive it might be nice to have a some light to see the desk and whatnot without turning on a brighter light and interrupting the grind. bomb vid !
Holy shit, i was waiting for someone to make the pc panel thing. I resorted to using an app called pc volume mixer, but may look into the hardware.
This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but a garbage pile.
This is the second time I've watched this video and i can say I've heard all of these before
IT'S THE " SO MANY LAUGH AFTER THE BRIEF " FOR ME
Thanks mate, really needed those.
