It looks great, even compared to some SLR cameras. Speaking of SLR, any advice on a 4K mirrorless camera that will shoot 4K video via HDMI out (For streaming or recording in OBS with audio)? The cheaper camera options all seem to have an overheating thing when put into 4K video mode , and many will overheat before 60 minutes…some seem to be meant for 4K for only a few minutes? Until the Canon 6 mkiii is released, this webcam looks like it will replace or work with an old Canon SL3 camera, hooked up to an Elgato HDMI to USB device. Thanks for any advice if you get a chance?

I guessed it right because I saw where the cameras were mounted and inferred the angles and then inverted it because the apple logo was backwards, meaning the videos were flipped. Couldn't tell the difference by the video itself.
I am using a Sony A6400 as my webcam. Maybe I should get an Elgato Pro as a second camera. What I am mostly impressed about is your sound - very radio like. Do you have a video that describes your microphone setup and settings?

This vid definitely makes me want to try the Facecam pro! I use an m50 currently with a kit lens, my one question is, how did you get the auto focus on the M50??

In some older reviews they mentioned that you cannot use the effects like Blur while using 4K 60fps, but in your video you seem able to turn those effects on. Does this mean Elgato has updated the firmware to allow for effects being used with 4K 60 fps?
3:36 The skintones, dynamic range and general detail and sharpness were a dead give away. Also the difference in auto focus (camera was smooth and focus breathing to a minimum. The webcam was stuttery and shaky.) The cam is impressive tho. Just wished for a (purple-green) tint control. Especially at that price.
A 180° shutter is absolutely not necessary or a good idea for 60 fps playback. It’s good to see that you abandoned it and went with a 360° shutter which absolutely is the best way to go!
Totally get it-depth of field is a big win for full-frame cameras. While tech is improving for other camera types, if bokeh is crucial for you, full-frame is the way to go. Thanks for your input!
maybe the wrong cable? I'm just using the initial usb-c to usb-c cable as the comp has a slot for it, or do I need something else? in camera hub itself @@Blasten
Hey there nice video! Thanks for all the information! I could instantly tell which one was the facecam pro because of the "fast & wriggly" auto focus. I tested the Facecam Pro myself but it didn't convince me. Most of the time I just use my iPhone 14 Pro Max with the "Camo App" as a "webcam" in my videos and streams. This also supports 4K. In my testing the quality was about the same. But it would be interesting to see a comparison of those two options (using a smartphone camera vs facecam pro) by someone with your knowledge. Thats strange. My reply didnt show up. The Canon doesnt cost anywhere near that much in my country. Its about £200 more than the webcam, so yes - if it costs $900 + in other places, that would be a major consideration. For me, £200 more would be worth it to gain a camera for photography, that also doubles as a webcam. Saying that though. I am now considering getting the webcam for a family member, because it way easier to set up and still gives good images in low light. Thank you for the video. It was this that made me consider the options.

What about the cpu usage to frame rate drop while streaming/gaming?

Interesting. Might have been updated in both elgato and nvidia side. I had no issue using effects at 60fps

ND Filter reduces light going into the sensor, not a good idea for indoor use. Increasing the ISO generates more noise in the image thus less detail.
