I like sticking to Druid because its so easy to do questing and leveling. I hate to level, so the faster the better. Gathering quests with a Druid is just too easy, lol.
@@nicowins What sucks now is the switching between steady and dynamic flying all the time. I wish they gave Druids the option to keep their normal flight form and still be able to mount other mounts to dynamic fly.
Ugh the part about going through the different classes and being all blah about it, I totally can relate, why I can’t pick a main but always feel stuck in either shadow priest or Druid specs
I’ve mained Druid as my first character in Vanilla and will continue to stick with my first and only main. Although I’m putting more into my alts these days. My primary alts will be priest, paladin and shaman. I love healing!
You are speaking my language. I have been an altaholic since Legion, never playing a single class for more than a single content patch. I wish that I’d be able to find a forever main. Doesn’t help that I can’t decide what content I want to focus on with my very limited time, currently leaning towards M+ and Delves.
Bit late to the party 😂. But I'm actually switching to maining a Druid and this video popped up when looking at guides for the different roles they cover. I originally stayed away because of similar people saying it's bland and it's specs being rather low in the meta. But it's 1 class that can cover all roles (with a bit of extra gear in the bags). Opposed to having 1 class that does really well but you can only perform 1 or 2 roles. The great thing with the Druid is Boomy it puts them above Pally and Monk since sure they can cover all roles but they are stuck in melee. My Raiding guild is too melee heavy so being able to pew pew as Boomy while also being able to tank or heal is a life saver. I was trying to keep 2 toons up to date but it just took top much time.
From a guy who mainly wants to do dungeons: I swapped from maining paladin (since shadowlands season 1) to maining druid in TWW. My idea of fun, is to be able to do your job without your class being in the way too much. Playing guardian druid seems really simple but that exactly open up your focus to actually executing the key properly. In the 10 years of playing wow, i've learnt that the strength of your class doesn't matter if executing that strength is too tricky. In m+ where the windows of opportunity can be narrow, its a big plus when you can just do the thing you want without a hurdle, especially when your group isn't taking your classes toolkit into consideration. As a guardian druid, having a dot-playstyle means that if you miss some damage globals because of supporting your group, its not a big deal aggro-wise. When playing prot paladin from time to time i found myself in situations where i needed to help out the healer for example, but couldnt find the globals for it because of rotational limitations. or had to kite but couldnt leave concecration because i die instantly if i leave it (not a problem for druid). or needing to get aggro back from mobs that dps pulled from me while focusing different targets and me having taunt already on cooldown(more rare as a druid because you have moonfires rolling when gathering far away packs). having more bursty aoe damage-profile also made some "interesting" situations, when i actually had no way of getting aggro back instantly if i went into a pack without divine toll and only relying on shield of the righteous damage for aggro: really makes a difference when you pulse aoe damage every tick instead of doing it only every third global or so. Generally i feel like druid has the most boring but the most effective toolkit when you just need to do your job: staying alive, keeping aggro, gathering pulls easily, doing damage, helping out the team with everything you have. The amount of times as paladin when accidentally sending a wrong global totally crapped pull as i didnt have enough ranged-abilities to gather the multiple packs correctly, or when incorrectly estimating the gap between a patrol and a pack (and sending an avengers shield, bouncing to both packs by accident) has made me to re-evaluate on which class to play. I love the simplicity of druid, and all the quality of life-things like travel form and aquatic form or stealth are awesome. Its not that i couldnt play other specs, its just that i dont enjoy having a spreadsheet of conditions i have to go trough every time when making a decision if i want to ensure im not making any mistakes, or to ensure anyone else isnt making one either. I love the freedom that druid brings. Time will tell if the premises of my opinions are valid but im excited to play druid in Season 1 to see if any problems arise that i didnt take into consideration :)
@@perkulant4629 utility is great but it doesnt matter If The tank cant survive. Sadly paladin needs 5 rounds of buffs before Even considered viable atm... :(
I've been a druid main since I started playing this game in '07. I will always main druid, just because it is my favorite class fantasy. If a game has a druid as a class option, that is what I will be playing.
Was maining warrior from vanilla beta up to dragonflight while also playing around casually on many different alts. Nowadays i go holy paladin main and holy/disc priest as main alt. I find healing as the most enjoyable aspect nowadays, having faster queues is a bonus :)
I’ve mained a balance Druid for 8 years. Thinking of going warrior for war within. Already got one to 70 and gearing her. I’ll keep my Druid up to date too but.. probably do keys and raid with warrior
I was in a similar position always bouncing back to druid after trying every other class. Until i played mage. Every spec feels fun flashy and powerful and more importantly... PORTALS BABY! Once i actually started leveling a mage toward endgame i got addicted.
No matter what I'll play my Holy Priest! It's been my main since Cataclysm (before that warrior & hunter). But I feel more open to alts lately cause of warbands, so I think I might try to focus on more than just a single character this time. Time will tell how it goes. Thank you for a great video and I hope you enjoy your new main! /Renova the fashionable priest💜
Love druids since vanilla but have also played her alongside BM hunter, priest from vanilla, adding warlock in BC. I am now adding Elemental shaman. All other classes never lasted long. I suck at them and I don't enjoy them at all. They were converted to bank space or static crafter at best. TWW definitely playing actively a team of those 5 classes but in which order might be dictated by which will be most useful to start crafting with. I have multiple in those 5 classes as well. For convenience druid or bm hunter probably.
I never heard a video I related more with. This was word for word my experience. Being a druid, is like being born rich. Its hard to go back being poor again. Qeusting as a druid is the greatest thing ever, you run in any form and pick everything up. And as a altoholic, the moment you do the same qeust on a alt. You see that the difference is immense. You do pvp, you get that beat everyone. Or shadowmold fly away if you start losing, and come back stealthed and win. Or run to a cliff and blow them off with typhoon. Every expansion I run back to a druid again. I remember speedrunning a hunter in mist, and the moment I dinged. A dungeon took an hour to que. It was awful, and went back to leveling my druid. And suddenly I could finish warbringers and farm dinos. Stealth and have fun. The class is the same as when you were kids, everyone picked a superpower. And you wanted all the powers. Thats the druid in a nutshell. But there is a catch to all this power, and to all this greatness. Its being totally blend and boring. Cause if the game was only qeusting, it would be a no brainer. Pick druid, laugh at other classes. But we have thing called dungeons and raids. Balance druid if you have friends to mythics with is really fun. But if no-one is online, you want fast dungeons. Or you want to help friends do mythic 10. You have to go tank. And the bear druid is so boring, sadly.. I wish they would revamp the whole tank spec. You swipe, and turn of your brain and feel empty. So I tried my best and went to my alt paladin and tried loving it, without constanly complaining that it isnt as fast a druid. I love swords, every other game Im the warrior. And a paladin has a 3 specs, so its the closes you get being a druid. I stuck with the qeusting, and set up doing just dungeons and pvp. I had so much fun. Doing mythic 10, valhalla dungeon. Everyone wiped at the first boss, I solod it. It felt amazing. It felt like I was playing a real game. Not just the addiction I have as a wow player and press buttons. Just felt like I was having fun for the first time. 2 vs 2 with friends, pvp. Was great. Tanking, giving people a heal in the dungeon, smacking people with a sword. And when shadowlands came, pick the covenant with the fastest speed perks. So I could still have speed, so i wouldnt miss my druid. And it worked. Sometimes when I qeust and miss my druid. I instanty pick my druid, que as a tank. dungeon starts and I leave in 3 minutes. And i know. its not fun. It seems fun to have 4 classes and be everything you want, and dont need to be an altoholic. But the reality its not the dream we want. To me the dream would be, a real melee dps. Feral is put bleeds on it like a warlock. If it would be just smack hard and big numbers. Resto and balance are amazing. And if bear would be more like prot pally or warrior. Then it would really feel like we would have 4 specs, we would have everything. And we would have no reason to roll anything else. But its not. Is just a class that has amazing qeusting capabilities and a awesome flight form. Cool forms. But its not the dream of having 4 specs.
That's not true. I like my druid. Despite all the reasons you listed. And in the end it's just personal. I find the tanking awesome haha. I hope they don't change it 😅
My very first wow character was a druid back when the game launched. I leveled him to about level 14 or 15 before we rerolled alliance and I made a rogue. I have always leveled a druid but never mained one and honestly, I love the way they're playing now and thinking about maining one. I actually had SO much fun level mine to level 70 (I have yet to buy the xpac but might around winter time), that I've been thinking about making another one on the opposite faction to level again. Plus, for some reason that I do not remember, I still have a free level 60 available. So since I have multiples of several classes, it comes down to druid, rogue, or mage as a second leveling experiance. For now, I am leveling one of every class to level 70 and at least 2 of a couple classes.
In Vanilla I was a mage. In BC I was a lock. In Wrath I switch to Paladin and haven't looked back - primarily Holy. I just love the class aesthetic and how it feels. It's fun and unique, to me at least. Thing I'm doing different in TWW is trying to get the other healing classes up and maintained - right now focusing on Druid, Priest and Shaman. But, the pally is my #1 focus.
My choice depends on how few buttons spec has and how easy it is to play. Ret is my main because it's easy, very strong and has great utility. I also like havoc and arms both have few buttons and are easy/good specs. Simple specs is my answer those are the best in my opinion (I'm never gonna touch enhancement or outlaw button hell🤣)
I love tanking and have all tanks at cap. I understand looking at certain tanks and going "ooh shiny" but always revert back to my Brewmaster. The class fantasy, the mechanics and mobility of the class suit my every need. Before Brewmaster was in the game I was a Prot Pally and I still like to get on my Pally and do some stuff but I always go back to my Brewmaster. I play all the other tanks at lower end content to scratch that FOMO itch but I always go back to Monk.
My main was warlock for the longest, I played druid for dragonflight and I missed warlock and my big pulls with a tanky demon, which makes up for the slow movement imo. Plus demo is very good at this time, and the class fantasy is great!
I play most classes as alts to my druid who has been my main for years. Every time I play an alt I miss the convenience a druid brings so I get on my druid and then I get sad to see how useless I am until I get to higher content so I switch to playing one of my alts. This is the cycle of a druid
Same here, time limits choices really, I thought about Hunter or Mage, but its just so difficult to leave my druid. I also think if it is in such a bad place, the devs might pull their fingers out of their butts and make some changes.... but I'm not going to mythic raid, i'll get KSM and just enjoy my Shadowmeld to flight form escape tactics.
Wow, this really resonated with me, thanks for the video. I have been maining Monk for 3 expansions now, and I am actually changing to Druid for TWiW campaign. Since BfA, I have my fair share of keybinds and it has finally gotten to me. I know Blizz has worked in Mink button bloat, but it just is t enough for me. I chose Druid because: 1) It was something I enjoyed since Wrath, but moved on to other class/specs. 2) The versatility! Four specs; yes, thank you. 3) The ability to move around nearly unfettered. I could probably go on, but know one cares; play the game your way; am I right? Thanks for your perspective.
I always level up my paladin first as it's my first toon and my main, but I always stray off. I tend to play my warrior more, and tried a Gaurdian Druid back in Shadowlands and love that class and continue to play it. I also started a hunter for the first time in this expansion. So my current mains are Druid and Hunter lol
Damn, I feel this. Everything always looks more fun than what youre playing and you're left with 8 half leveled alts. Shear willpower to just choose one and stick with it.
Been playing the warrior since SL but i enjoy playing all the role. I also dont have enough free time to alt it up so switching over to Druid for the flexibility.
Career healer here; I’ve dungeon and raid healed at an above average level since Vanilla. Through the years I’ve mained literally every healer at some point but I always preferred Holy Paladin up until Glimmer was introduced in late BfA. While Blizzard spent a few years fine tuning and ultimately removing Glimmer the APMs of the rotation were just too high for me so I sadly had to put it down and only just took it back up again with the rework in S3 of DF that was truly amazing for a hot minute. As a software developer coming up on twenty years in the industry wear and tear on my livelihood, i.e. my hands, is my primary concern when it comes to hobbyist gaming in my free time. Anything with a high enough APM that makes my hands sore consistently when gaming is always relegated to alts only for me. That being said I have spent considerable time in this tier or that tier maining every other healer and just like you I always consider the efficiency and quality of life I’ll experience outside of the M+ and Mythic raid progression schedule each season. That’s one reason you’ll almost never find me maining a priest in the first season of an xpac when power creep is nonexistent and the survivability of squishier classes like priest is a constant struggle in world content as you grind grind grind those reps, dailies, new events, and endless content Blizzard tries to dump into each xpac at launch. Anyways for War Within my considerations are Holy Paladin (now that Blizzard has finally stopped nerfing them and actually introduced Hero Talents that are impactful and fun) or Resto Shaman (now that Blizzard has finally removed the doldrums of constantly spamming healing rains that everyone steps out of anyways and baking in chain heals once again to the spec) or something truly out of the ordinary like Warlock or Mage (because let’s face it both classes look incredibly fun in the War Within and my raiding guild has a sudden lack of Warlock mains going into the next xpac). For many reasons very very similar to what you’re describing I settled on Holy Paladin. While it doesn’t have the almost guaranteed ease of use and vast toolkit of amazing utility that a Resto Shaman does nor the incredible ease of use of just plopping down a big totem that puts a healing rain out while also a chain heal it is enough and I think I will enjoy it. It’s a contender for top dog which is always a consideration even if one doesn’t technically chase the meta and it’s solid. Also it’s the one class I always want to main and never get bored of. Like you said every class has its draws and setbacks or inefficiencies or negatives. Most classes have at least some hook to draw you in and keep you entertained but the real challenge is finding the one you’ll enjoy as much as possible while also fitting squarely within the confines of not only our goals for the game’s content itself, both grouped and solo but also in general just the people you run with regularly and what they’re playing and the roles they enjoy or are picking themselves. Either way Holy Paladin with a heavy dose of Retribution Paladin (because holy crap have they finally been truly fun for the a few years now!) will serve me well and with Warbands coming I can easily maintain a couple of competitively geared alts just in case paladin falls by the wayside again like it did in S3 of DF when Blizzard literally nerfed Holy Paladin each and every week for a month and a half.
Did I write this? Ha ha! Career healer here too, with dodgy hands due to work. I have to avoid classes with high APM. I'm leaning towards resto shaman (my hands hurt the least playing this spec). I was also thinking mage/warlock but mage has a lot of procs which felt high APM. Warlock feels pretty chill. If I ever take the step away from healing I am thinking warlock this time around.
For me, it is less about a "main" and more about which I start with. I have gotten all the tanks to 2k m+ rating at some point in DF, with the exception of Brewmaster monk. Did some low m+ on him, but that was it. After literally doing a few spreadsheets on the tanks for tww, I decided on druid to start. It seemed that with all the tweaking blizz has done to tanks recently, it was a solid option. Not the best at any one thing; just solid across the board with little downside. Plus gathering will be sweet.
BRO, the way you described the “oh this class has this, that class has that” I dont like alts but I haven’t stuck with a main for longer than 2 seasons since i started in BFA. Sometimes it gives me a headache thinking what to play. Same with races. For TWW I have to choose a main and stick with it. I love rogue but heard they are terrible in TWW. As boring as it seems, I think ive narrowed it down to Warrior, Arms & dabble in prot. Just need to select a race now. Good vid ❤
Been a hunter main since I started playing mid BC. Augment evoker came out and my hunter now sits on the sidelines. I'm debating on playing Augment or going Demo lock since seeing the Felguard was what got me into the game in the first place.
Ive been through this exact process before. I mained Druid for multiple expansions and I always side-eyed the others classes. Its made worse because a Feral Druid is rooted in Rogue. A Bear is rooted in Warrior, etc. It felt like i was playing half cooked versions of those classes. At the end of the day, we play what we will enjoy and I think we attach too much to the word "main"... these days I do main a character throughout the expansion but there's an opportunity at every patch cycle to change. Its not a big commitment. Especially with Warband reputations now freeing many of us from investment paralysis. My personal zen moment was like yours, all classes have strengths and weaknesses. I love Unholy but didn't main it for so long because of the speed of DKs. What you eventually realize though is that the speed is compensated in other ways. You don't have speed, but your uptime on a boss doesn't have to be as high as say, an outlaw rogue or fury warrior. You don't have speed, but you do have range on many of your abilities. You dont have speed, but you do have a way to negate stuns, negate fears, a magic immunity, etc. Personally I've narrowed the classes I fully enjoy down to DK, Monk, Warlock, Hunter, Mage. I'll level and play all of them to some degree, but I will probably main Warlock in raids and then play Monk and DK to amble around the world, play smaller group content, etc. Mage and Hunter will just be projects during periods of content downtime
As a Druid/Dk main, I can’t. It’s my favorite exploring/questing class and it’s fun to transmog. My DK is my attachment to my favorite expansion which I experienced from start to finish, WOTLK.
I don't know who said it but it was something along the lines of "If given the opportunity players WILL optimise the fun of the game" I am quite loyal to my Holy Priest and Enhancement Shaman. I always wanna try more but so far I am too lazy. I hope the new parallel grind features in WW work as intended.
I starter priest and druid, mostly aiming at Delves. To my suprise, druid was much harder to complete high keys(8,9). Some bosses sere really hard on druid that my priest melted faces. But mostly I feral druid need a refresh in rotation. I was a druid main since TBC.
I was Druid main from WotLK until Dragonflight. Dracthyr Evoker has been the most fun I’ve had with a class in WoW in many expansions, so that’s staying my main until it changes. Druid has been a fantastic second character, and I don’t see that changing either.
Haven't played seriously on retail since MoP was current content. Came back for classic until we had a kid and I ran out of time. He is older now, and wife and I are thinking of coming back with the war within. I will probably play my monk again, really enjoyed their playstyle back then.
I have been a druid main since WotLK, but I've finally decided to move on. Blood DK has been my favorite tank for a while, especially in raid, so I made the swap to that. DK has that "broken" feel to it in a good way. It has a tool for every situation to perfectly handle a mechanic. I will miss having instant cast flight form, but once in combat, DK feels better.
Paladin main I play warlock a lot and bounce between the two for raiding, but Paladin was my main since i started in cata and I want to main it again every expansion. I have all classes done, I get the flaws of each spec and class and whats fun to play, besides travel I cannot stand druid, they are only fast for in instant flight form, otherwise I find myself faster on DH sometimes I am even as fast as or faster than druids in raids/dungeons, people are not optimising their speed, usually we and you won't either.
My guess is, Night Elf Warrior maybe? It has 2 great DPS specs to choose from. Both have really good AOE, also Protection has a really nice sustain with Ignore Pain and Shield Block. The hero talents look promising. Colossus with Demolish is wicked. Currently, I have been trying to figure out what to main, when it comes to between Warrior and Rogue. Still a little time to decide.
Druid from vanilla, but always alted a lot. I will main shaman, this expac has the best version of all time. Its just so fun. The melee range of feral just made me switch
I'm the opposite, played Warlock since TBC and made a druid with my 70 Boost from the pre order and fell in love, played it on the beta and Feral is what I will be playing for the forseeable future. this is coming from a PvP only player since S1 SL, i'm not into the whole Mythic + stuff.
Fire mage for life! I evidently mained Demon Hunter for that come back expansion... But I don't remember why.... Looking forward to TWW so that I can get those reps on my mage w/out grinding them.
I jusz love my druid man. Always since class been a feral main. Will ever be. I play all 4 specs nowadays kinda and enjoy all of them. I do alt a bit doh but as you say yea druid is just op 😂 My biggest pro is the shapeshifting. I just love it. The lore of it and the feeling. Can never change my good old druid man. Nothing wrong to enjoy some alts here and there 😊 Enjoy your new main 🎉
Ive always mained feral but i think for tww im going for fun this time and going with my WW monk. DF feral put me off them so much and i quit early on so hoping something different can keep me enjoying it longer
I'm a druid since vanilla. I'm a pure pvp main though and always have been with a focus on rated BGs. Druid is just a natural fit for htat, i can flag run as guardian, heal if needed, or go boomkin which have a fantastic BG kit. Plus stealth is always amazing for world pvp and BGs alike. I also play with a friend that I swap to resto and we can crank out some 2v2 to get our elite sets and rating push. Druid just fits all my needs and I'm sticking with it into TWW.
I had this issue of "Main crises" if i can say so since Legion maybe, every season i play several alts, none feels like my main, yh one or two have more progress, but just that feeling of bound with 1 or 2 classes is no longer there, which also caused some issue with my hc guild commitment. I choose to multi-role mainly in the start of an xpac to play with friends arenas and M+, then i gradually swap back to mage most likely when i play solo, but it just feels meh at the moment, i usually play around 3-4 classes, Mage, Monk, recently Shaman and Druid, to help me with multi-roles, but maybe i dabble more with Hunter this time around, one of the things that could change is leaving Druid, just had enough with it tbh.
Been maining a druid since TBC, mostly as resto. And for the past few months I was considering rerolling becuse as you said, the hero talents look bland and boring. For resto the talents also force you down into either treant spam or catweaving, which I do not enjoy either. Deciding between priest, shaman, pala and evoker now.
Hey hey, this vid popped up on my feed and i am glad it did. I am in similar state as you, i mained resto druid and holy pala in legion, BFA, SL and DF and now i want to change things up, so i will be maining the opposite : RSham, Prevoer and Fistweaver. The reason i drop druid are : fucking button bloat, i just hate having 36 keybinds for pve and 48 binds for pvp and being forced to use an MMO mouse, also druid is the only spec in TWW that has absolutely nothing added or to be stoked about in terms of hero talents, its basically the same unchanged specs, and i hate that compared to some exciting specs who play much better with new hero talents!
Sticking with Druid for the class options. Feral Guardian is perfect for leveling. Resto is a solid healer. Unfortunately, Ghetto Mage (Moonkin) or Ghetto Rogue (Feral) are weaker options. My alt is an Arms Warrior.
I'm actually moving to druid for TWW. In Dragonflight I swapped mains each patch, so any gear or skill I acquired during that patch was lost as I moved on. I don't want to do that this expansion. I'd like to have a single main. Alts for fun, but one main. Since druid can do anything its appealing because I know even if I get bored of one style of play there are 3 others waiting for me all on the same character.
Yeah I stuck with Prot Paladin. Attempted to change to DH in Legion but there's simply no tank that plays like the paladin. Paladin is the only tank that can take care of their party properly, which is what is fun for me. So if the pala is bad I'll just have to quit. I went through WoD with it and it was super weak and that was so not fun and I don't want to experience that again.
I feel like I made this video myself and this is me talking... lol.... been a druid since WotLK for the exact reasons you stated. Toying with a move to evoker but almost feel badly about it...
Elune's Chosen Guardian druid is close to something we had in Legion. Shifting most of damage to magical coupled with magic damage trinkets should hopefully pump big damage numbers like in Legion while still being very sturdy. If that fails to work out a Riders of the Apocalypse 2 handed Obliteration Frost DK looks rather "cool".
haha appreciated the pun there! yeah good point with the magic damage, but we've gotta remember that they've also taken the oomph out of damage trinkets for tanks now too, to try and move people into using actual tank trinkets, but not sure right now exactly how impactful that change will play out to be, I'm sure I read its a 40% flat, less effectiveness of DPS trinkets when worn by a tank
Funny thing. I allway played as a BM. Now, i will switch to Druid. I will still playing my BM, but due to the fact that, since the Warbands went life, the concept of a main is irrelevant, i will start into the expac with the Druid. After completing the story i will switch between classes as i want. I dont think that "main character" is a thing anymore, thanks to Warbands. Now my Warband is my Main Character ^^
I only play Druid in tww. Before, I could never decide and people always told me to go dps, so I did rogue, mage, try pally and I always came to the conclusion, that I hated this game. Now, after 15+ years, I tried a Druid for the first time and tanking also for the first time. I fell in love with Druid. Even farming the forms is exciting and I actually don’t focus on pve or pvp, but I do it all:)
cute, we're very similar in the way of thinking. Same issue, was maining dru in tbc, wotlk then took a break from wow. came back for df and made dru main, after that pally main, after that warrior main, and again dru and again pally (was deleting old main when starting new one, for the nickname), through entire df i've made around 5-7 of each (warrior, pally, dru), not counting remix. as it is for expansion i want to focus dracthyr warrior (find it super epic) when it comes out BUT also and still thinking about maining druid... there is also pally somewhere... dru great for fast content run and easy for gearing, jack of all trades and quite good in every role. warrior imo toughest tank and fury coolest melee dps. pally squisher tank compared to war and dru against physical but tanking with him is very fun, retri is imo best solo machine (not counting hunt/lock)... so ya, still havent decided fully but currently thinking of war > dru > pal. ps. As You said, we all have our own definition of fun and we should stick to that. We shouldnt aim for whats current meta. Problem is at least for me, defying whats really fun for me, since there are so many fun factors i need to take for consideration ^^...
I've mained druid religiously since Vanilla because I love the class fantasy and theme. But this is the first time I'm also considering trying something new the first time around for the same reason you said; the hero talents don't feel like they are doing much. It is a shame because I was so excited for the concepts of KotG, WS and DotC. I particularly always wanted more shapeshifting for druids, because it always felt like I was playing a cat OR a bear OR a fat turkey rather than a actual shapeshifter. The problem is it feels like the trees are implemented so poorly, there are just passive bonuses to damage/healing with little interactivity (WS, KotG, EC) or some of the interesting mechanics being so weak that they are ignored on a normal rotation (feral DotC).
I wanted to play dps this time around. Always been a healer. Realised I didnt allow myself to play dps for a similar reason as you. Convenience of queues and worth in a group. Now I'm Feral, the most incomvenient spec for queues lol. I love beating people on the dps meter and making them question their FOTM spec and skills.
Been playing all difrent classes. I play like fulltime arena. And Warrior was my main for many expansions. But i got burned out on that class 100% since i coulndt find healers etc and some other things. I tried to play it in dragonflight season 2. But i stopped real fast. So burned out. Cant describe it. So i became a hybrid addictor. Played shaman allot for like 2 a 3 expansions. Tried monk pala and Druid on and off ( resto only ) I went bm hunter 2100 rating in 2s in dragonflight. I tried to main hunter. Since i could get the ratings i wanted. But i miss something like u say in the video. I need a hybrid. I need the difrent options... I also went dev evoker 2400... np Preservation evoker 2200 rating in shuffle. I tried Demo lock 2200+ mmr and on my way to 2400 np... I was like i choose lock to be my new main, this class feels so tanky. Awesome hero talents! Demo looks insane! But still. I miss the hybrid feeling. For the first time i gonna main a druid. And feral for 2s ( and resto prob on alt druid ). I go druid in shuffle and I go feral. Hard stuck 1900 😂. But i stick to it. And push my skills to the limit. *trust the process Never focussed mythics. The war within i also gonna play mythics. And guardian druid got my interest allot also. Dont mind wat spec on druid tbh. But somehow druid tank got my attention. So i picked my main since 1.5 week ago 😊 I feel happy now. I was in debate with myself for so long wat class to go.
I’m gonna stick to Druid because it just feels like a good option if I feel like not playing a different role without falling behind early game and having to reroll.
its the only class that does ranged and tank. which i only can play ranged specs in mythics. my main is a warlock. but i have tried all tanks warrior is fun but i might not like playing mellee specs.
Man this video is me to the T on characters. I see other people do this or that then I switch and then I see something else and switch. Can never FULLY MAIN ONE
I love druid but there were times I wanted to switch to different classes. When demon hunter came out I had so much fun moving around while attacking. So I was kind of mad when balance talent that lets them move while casting got taken out. Then evoker came out and I loved it cause I could cast while moving, the new charging skills feature overall cool. But I like to play melee also which is why I stayed druid (also the fact shapeshifting is cool to me. Beastboy favorite hero.). Honestly I think the class that I want doesn't exist in retail but it does exist in ascension WoW (to bad it still has classic graphics). I'm going to stick to druid cause it's old reliable, and leave demon hunter/evoker as sub mains. Although i heard survival hunter is fun this expact, I do like taming pets and bm is cool fantasy wise but the rotation is zzzz.
My main in TWW is/was my Arcane Mage, but compared to my Balance Druid, well OMG, it's like chalk and cheese really. When I'm up against a Delve boss on my Druid, then I simply fire off... 1. Force of Nature (Treants), followed by 2, Celestial Alignment then 3. Convoke the Spirits. This triple play works wonders! Those damn Treants are powerful little trees. Unlike my Mage Mirror Images, that are hopeless. Now for self heals.... My Mage ABSOLUTELY NOTHING apart from the usual 5 min cooldown Healing Potion. As for druid.... well you have, Regrowth, Rejuvenation, Wild Growth and Renewal, and last but not least your healing potion. So Druids have it all over my Mage in both DPS and Healing full stop. Also when you're out in the open world questing, simply go into flight form and you can collect, loot, and just generally do heaps then quickly get-away by flying up when the baddies spot you. Oh YES it's Druid for me and I'm not looking back!!!
I played warrior last expansion. Fury. I found that I absolutely hate having to get 2 two handlers a shield and a 1 handed to utilize my full class. A death knight needs 1 two handed and can do all specs. Monk as well. Pally has 3 weapons. Druid is 1. Just the thought of having to collect all the pieces to unlock my class is really annoying to me. I’m taking that into account this time.
They broke flightform by stuffing it with the skyriding. Now you have to switch to steady flight for completing questing and then switching back. You used to be able to just instantly flightform from your drake, get on with business and then switch back to drake if need be
I've been druid main since Vanilla and don't think that will ever change in retail. Too much attachment to that character. In Classic I hopped mains from DK to Pala mid-WLK (after abandoning vanilla classic around lvl 40) and while I keep Pala for Cata, I think I'll main Monk in MoP.
Playing bear for at least the tier of TWW because I'm sick and tired of waiting in groups for half an hour for the group to fill as a dps. Always waiting on a tank or healer. If our raid leader requires us to fill our vaults every week, I don't want the process to include 3-4 hours per week of just wait time.
I've been biting my nails over my druid, spriest and shaman... I've been out for a few years and am just coming back. All I really will miss will be stealth on my druid of course instant flight. I haven't had fun with the balance rotation for several expansions. =/
Bear looking super solid right now. sadly the other 3 specs are not looking good at all. Sadly as a boomkin main, im still deciding. Boomkin is more like doomkin right now
I wish there were more werebear forms that didnt require some goofy gear check (mage tower) to obtain. I'd be happy with a less-detailed version of the skin I just want to play a werebear tank man
Been a paladin since TBC and I don’t know if I’m going to continue in war within. I’m thinking of switching to Demon hunter for the fun factor. I love the mobility and the glide and it feels really fun to play.
I think i have to hang up druid for now. Its my absolute favorite class for functionality but as a healer it feels so bad right now. I was trying to commit but I'm not having fun. Im gonna try shaman or paladin.
Once a druid, always a druid. It's hard to never play it even if only an alt...
Only druid spec I touch is guardian. The rest is just bad gameplay. and Id rather stare at a wall to see paint dry.
no all sheep like you!!!
I love your honesty and reflection in this. I found myself having the same thoughts and this gave me a lot to think about. I appreciate you!
I appreciate you too! Thanks mate :)
I like sticking to Druid because its so easy to do questing and leveling. I hate to level, so the faster the better. Gathering quests with a Druid is just too easy, lol.
I agree. I just play guardian and everything is so ez. Then I switch to restro for raids, dungeons and other shit.
Lvling is the worst part of the game. Only for the classic andys
@@nicowins What sucks now is the switching between steady and dynamic flying all the time. I wish they gave Druids the option to keep their normal flight form and still be able to mount other mounts to dynamic fly.
@@ctk4949 put it in your Actionbar
@@ctk4949ye it’s kinda annoying actually.
2 weeks into TWW he plays druid again. i bet
Hahaha I’d be disappointed with myself if I did
wouldn't be surprised, after last changes resto and guardian are looking pretty strong.
Ugh the part about going through the different classes and being all blah about it, I totally can relate, why I can’t pick a main but always feel stuck in either shadow priest or Druid specs
It's hard ain't it when you just can't decide, quite frustrating, I hope something clicks and sticks for you soon mate that you can really enjoy!
Totally can relate, been the same since they kinda homogenized all classes, about Legion-BFA era going forward.
I can't decide..😢😢😢
Same bro lol shadow or moonkin help me decide also
@@RUclipsstolemyname99999 both my dude
I’ve mained Druid as my first character in Vanilla and will continue to stick with my first and only main. Although I’m putting more into my alts these days. My primary alts will be priest, paladin and shaman. I love healing!
This is the most underrated “help me pick my main” video out there. I needed this. Thank you!
You are speaking my language. I have been an altaholic since Legion, never playing a single class for more than a single content patch. I wish that I’d be able to find a forever main. Doesn’t help that I can’t decide what content I want to focus on with my very limited time, currently leaning towards M+ and Delves.
love your video, ty, its exactly what I was looking for
Bit late to the party 😂.
I love playing with prot paladins, the utility they bring is epic. The amount of free kicks alone is great.
Same since game launched since 2004
Can’t wait to hear your choice
I started tbc launch as a priest main up until WoD and then switched to druid and haven't looked back since. Bear in my 💕
I played resto druid for years and am going mw monk full time now. Love it.
I will be playing my main since Vanilla which is my druid boomkin spec followed by my BM Hunter which I also enjoy :)
Same, been druid for 10+ years , got 16 of them max lvl and all stuff druid could ever want. Gonna try hunter or paladin this time.
Thats why I play 3-4 characters at the same time. When Im in a mood for m+ i go resto druid, when I feel pvp I go either warrior or rogue etc.
Same feeling about the trap of convenience with Druid , trying holy paladin next patch even tho they move at 0mph
Never ending cycle… I do this exact thing with my monk and Druid
I was playing druid as my main since legion. This time I am back to mage, which I haven't played since classic as my main. So much fun.
BRO, the way you described the “oh this class has this, that class has that”
I dont like alts but I haven’t stuck with a main for longer than 2 seasons since i started in BFA.
Love the vid
Holy looking mint!!
BM since wotlk, but being retired i play 12hrs a day or more so 4 mains or 4 over 515il ie BM, Ret,Fury, Frost dk
i started in Cata, and have played a druid the whole time. started as a night elf druid, then changed to a worgen druid when that expansion dropped
As a Druid/Dk main, I can’t. It’s my favorite exploring/questing class and it’s fun to transmog. My DK is my attachment to my favorite expansion which I experienced from start to finish, WOTLK.
I don't know who said it but it was something along the lines of "If given the opportunity players WILL optimise the fun of the game"
I am quite loyal to my Holy Priest and Enhancement Shaman.
I have all classes done, I get the flaws of each spec and class and whats fun to play, besides travel I cannot stand druid, they are only fast for in instant flight form, otherwise I find myself faster on DH sometimes I am even as fast as or faster than druids in raids/dungeons, people are not optimising their speed, usually we and you won't either.
at the end, judged by the tier set silhouette armor from the Nerub-Ar Palace raid you chose a death knight :D
I usually play resto Druid and disc priest in m+ only. Probs be the same in TWW. I like the proactive healers best.
I do alt a bit doh but as you say yea druid is just op 😂
My biggest pro is the shapeshifting.
I just love it. The lore of it and the feeling.
Can never change my good old druid man.
Nothing wrong to enjoy some alts here and there 😊
Enjoy your new main 🎉
As a fellow alt-a-holic, I found this video helpful. Not helpful enough for me to actuqlly stick to just one class, but... perspective... lol
Haha perspective is powerful!
ugh the cliffhanger!!!! lol! HAVE FUN WHOMEVER YOU PICK!
I went through WoD with it and it was super weak and that was so not fun and I don't want to experience that again.
holy pally for me, did all the druid stuff last 2 expansions
Haha does feel good indeed, hope you continue to enjoy it!
Tried monk pala and Druid on and off ( resto only )
I went bm hunter 2100 rating in 2s in dragonflight. I tried to main hunter. Since i could get the ratings i wanted. But i miss something like u say in the video. I need a hybrid. I need the difrent options...
I also went dev evoker 2400... np
Preservation evoker 2200 rating in shuffle.
*trust the process
Never focussed mythics. The war within i also gonna play mythics. And guardian druid got my interest allot also. Dont mind wat spec on druid tbh. But somehow druid tank got my attention. So i picked my main since 1.5 week ago 😊
I feel happy now.
I have no loyalty to a class. Right now I’m playing hunters and paladins. I need a few of each to cover the professions.
Will always be balance druid main.. have other alts but my druid will always be my main
I havent decided yet. I love my warlock but mage looks to be awesome next expansion.
Ooh so at least you've got it narrowed down to two, I'd say you can't go wrong with any class really, but that's what makes it hard isnt it!
Think you’ve got that urge I had for S3 and S4 with my DK. But just when I thought I was out.. nature pulled me back in 🍃
We shall see if the vines get their grip on me again some time during the expansion!
That's a good point yeah, can be quite frustrating indeed when you don't get a weapon drop if there's no option to craft one either
frost dk is a onehander
They broke flightform by stuffing it with the skyriding. Now you have to switch to steady flight for completing questing and then switching back. You used to be able to just instantly flightform from your drake, get on with business and then switch back to drake if need be
I can't decide if I should main my troll druid or my night elf druid
oof very tough choice, id go nelf personally for aesthetics and shadowmeld, but troll is great too
I've been druid main since Vanilla and don't think that will ever change in retail. Too much attachment to that character.
In Classic I hopped mains from DK to Pala mid-WLK (after abandoning vanilla classic around lvl 40) and while I keep Pala for Cata, I think I'll main Monk in MoP.
Mained a warlock until Legion where I switched for DH and played it until TWW where I just can't stand it anymore and switched to monk
Boomkin is more like doomkin right now
I’m changing mains to my old main..:: lmao going from Druid back to warrior which I mained the first half of my wow career lol
My main is dudu since cata but i ll go for lock for tww
