Preordered the 512. With the size of new games on the way 128 can be rather limiting. I've never bought anything major before it came out, and never was one to see theatre movies on the first day, but Quest 3 will be worth it.
With how cheap storage has gotten, 512gb should be the entry version. Are they stuck in 2019 or something...
512 no 256gb maybe. I feel like the 256 should just be another option though 😐
Given how much space some games take up even now (Medal of Honor is 41GB!), 128GB doesn't give you much space for storing games. I can't see Asgards Wrath 2 being a small game either. I've ordered the 512gb just to future proof me. A 256GB option would be a good sweet spot for a base model I think.
As it is my 128gb quest 2 has 9 gigs left, so I don’t see much choice for me.

I am pre ordering the 512 GB on amazon, and I'll still get the pre order bonus, & it's 25 dollars cheaper because of less shipping costs so I am quite excited lol

For the price, 649.00CAD, and the years of wait between iterations. I'd have expected a bigger hardware upgrade. Still preordered for my kids.
It's following a similar trajectory to mobile phone processors. Looking at the gameplay differences between the two chipsets of the Quest 2 and 3, it's a noticeable step up though. I couldn't really not order it! 😆

Im really exited to start playing VR supported games on my PC. But how come nobody is talking about the quest 3 from a PC VR gaming perspective. As a noobie to this tech, this frustrates me quite a bit.
The allure of the Quest headsets has always been that it's a standalone VR headset, so that's is always going to be what they push as it differentiates them from other VR headsets, like the PSVR2 that needs a PS5 in order to work. I think the views on what it's like for PCVR games will come out once the device has been physically released and is in peoples hands. For me, the big standouts that should make it a good PCVR headset is the pancake lenses and resolution increase which will massively help with picture clarity, and also support for Wifi 6E (6GHz band support) which should make Viirtual Desktop and Airlink even better!

You'll miss out on the greatest newest techs. Or you can go pcvr route which is $1,000 that required $1,000 gpu and $1,000 base stations
