Just got my oculus yesterday and immediately did comedy. Tried out some bits and told stories I’ve never had a chance to do in front of strangers and it went really well. Got laughs and people cheering me on and supporting me. It was such a thrill. I was nervous as first but I wanna keep going! I even joined in on an improv show
Hand tracking is kind of broken, because you can’t take your hands behind yourself otherwise it won’t know, so I would recommend using controllers, it is way easier
I’m waiting for the Boxing Day sales to see if the price drops and getting one. The google maps thing will be massive for me. I lost my dad this year and I know that on the older google maps when they took a picture of his house he was in the front garden doing some gardening. Seeing him on there in VR would be amazing. Wander is excellent I have seen a few people including my dad who have passed but other than that you can go into castles museums Disney world graceland even graveyards anywhere really and I love it I can spend hours on it.Enjoy when you get it.
8:21 I would also recommend that if you live with others, marking out that boundary on the floor with something like blue masking tape as well. That way for those not in the VR space with you, they know the space you are using and you will have less chance of people wandering through your VR space and getting smacked in the face with a VR controller. Granted, this won't stop you tripping over animals unless your dog is exceptionally well trained to never cross the blue tape. But it should cut down drastically on the one-two takedown of your wife/husband or child. Or having to explain why your roommate has a black eye today.
I mean or you could not just walk in front of someone who playing a VR game. No tape needed. Lol… just bring your common sense. I’m sure that first punch to the dome will remind them. lol.

I know, most of them are meme videos, but it really hammers home the point that not everyone is smart enough to realize that walking through a VR space can hurt, even if you aren't the one wearing the VR.

Just bought my quest 2 with the 256gb storage and resident evil 4 included (plus beat saber deal). It is amazing. Watching Christmas movies in the Amazon app is like watching them in an Imax theater.
8:31 there is a fix to this if you want the most room possible. You can turn up your guardians sensitivity which will make it appear faster and appear when you are farther away. I have the sensitivity turned up by a lot and I like it because the room I play in is small.

Until You Fall A game that unlike a lot of games in VR actually is a ful game and doesn't feel like a tech demo and very similar to Infinity Blade in iOS but way better.
This is great. I'm super new to VR. So many questions.. how much are the paid games? And how are you hearing the kid's voices? Can that be dialled down? Is there anything in VR that isn't a game... like learning a new instrument/educational resources? And where are these purchased? I loved my Quest 2 for a few months, but then in November 2021 the Facebook/Oculus link broke. After a noncoherent support call for two hours of chat, they could not resolved the problem. I contacted support again a couple of months ago but they still could not resolve the problem. I finally received an email with the fix after 359 days of being unable to use the unit. Finally resolved! But unbelievably poor support.
I got a Quest 2 for Christmas and absolutely love it! My favorite game(s) is/are Vader Immortal 1-3. They are a little pricey, but it's worth it for the INSANE climbing and elevator mechanics! Would recommend to all quest owners even if you get motion sick l, there are settings to remove those parts EDIT: Your video is HALARIOS!!
Late to the video, but loved it! I’m 59 years old and have chronic fatigue syndrome. So I’m considering getting one as the price is attractive. And you’ve given me more reasons to get one! I think I’d like watching RUclips, web browsing and traveling the world with this thing.
Finally a RUclips that actually is relatable i am a teen and my voice isn't too squeaky but little kids are like so squeaky and they are constantly screaming, but it is kind of funny.

Keep the box the unit comes with, (rip out the slots to make room if you get a new head strap) and put it in there when your done for the day. If you get the official head strap, DO NOT grab it by the strap, especially the sides. They can get distorted and snap.

I don’t mind playing with children when they play normally. It’s the screaming and constantly telling everyone what to do and what weapons to use. I was playing Poker Stars VR last night and had a great conversation with a couple adults and well behaved kids. They taught me how to play Craps😂😂

I've been playing outside between sunset and dusk. I noticed that it malfunctioned inside when the sun was shining on my chair. And yes, i accidentally threw a controller once, good thing it was in the grass.
Quest works with Steam games. Skyrim, Fallout 4, some Star Wars games. And, the Steam Library will work with other headsets. District Steel, shooter, has a free Steam demo.
You can buy lens covers, and I would advise Sam to get a decent head strap or at least get a back head holder for the meta strap. Good video but I would also recommend Wooorld for exploring the world as well as Wander.
My 1st things to do (especially for those who don't read manual): -set lens distance correct for your eyes (a must to avoid nausea) -mount glasses spacer (a must for those who wear glasses) -change head strap (for the one with the knob and powerbank slot - huge comfort improvement) -optionally: get proper powerbank (for long VR sessions with no wires) and case (just for storing) ...then start messing around in VR. Also: Ragnarock > Beat Saber Pistol Whip > Superhot VR

I wasn't one bit interested in VR until I saw the golf game. It was cool to see what other videos/games are available. 100% new to VR. Picking up 2 today - one for me and one for my husband so we can play golf together! LOL
In my oculus app it says that I am connected but when I get into the flight sim and click on VR Mode it says that I am not connected. Whats the problem
Here is my problem, my meta quest 2 is connected to wifi, at one point it was asking me to enter the 5 digit code, which i couldn’t see, because I have low vision, it’s not asking me anymore, is that step important? How do I get to that step again? When I turn on the head set, I see the headset moving around, what is the next step?, because it’s not doing anything, nothing happens when I Press the buttons

U can also use a mat or carpet so u can feel the edge of the mat
