Lot of people forget that the Raiders almost came back in this one. Yes, it would've been tough to pull off, but if they stopped Brad Johnson on 3rd and 7, they would've gotten the ball back down by 13 with 5 minutes left. Pretty impressive, considering it was 34-3 at one point in the third and they looked dead in the water

Why else did he simulate Rich Gannon himself on scout team during Super Bowl practices? Why else was John Lynch calling out which plays the Raiders were running before the snap? If Gruden was still coaching the Raiders, Tampa Bay would NOT have that particular advantage.
Tampa may have won anyway, their defense was that dominant that year. You couldn't throw the ball on them and that was Oaklands strength...Bucs took that away

Raiders had to face the man that built their playbook and offense, Gruden literally would see our formation and then call out the defense😂😂 . If Raiders never fired Gruden the season before, they would have def won this superbowl and maybe the superbowl the year before if "Tuck Rule" would of never happened😢
